Don’t Jews, Muslims and Atheists Get Any Credit?

Apparently not. From September 27:

There was a “press conference” today with the Jena 6 prosecutor DA Reed Walters. Or there was supposed to be a press conference but instead Walters played host for a gathering which sounded more like a revivalist tent meeting.

——-

Walters talked a whole lot about Jesus – and not much about justice. He did make a special note that it was only through the “direct intervention of Jesus!” that last week’s demonstrations were peaceful – a pretty outrageous claim when the demonstration was a peaceful and amazing gathering and participants even picked up the trash before heading out of town.

Crooks & Liars has the video.

  1. Alan, welcome to the blogging universe. I hope your time here is enjoyable but enough of a challenge to keep you on your toes.

  2. Here’s hoping that this post is joined by many, many more, and that your blog evinces the same quality, humour, care and thoughtfulness as the radio show!

  4. It’s great having a place to spout off like we actually know something about the subject we’re blathering about.
