Subject: Isaiah 32: 5-8

Alan,
You do have a difficult job and I commend you for your courage in working at Fox. Here’s a little ammunition for you when you’re accused of being a “liberal” ( as if that’s somehow a bad thing )
According to the Bible, Isaiah 32: 5-8, ( King James Version, which makes it that much stronger ) you’re in very good company.5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.
6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand. The word conservative doesn’t appear in the Bible. But Liberal does, and in the most glowing of terms. How does anyone that believes that the Bible is the inerrent word of God, reconcile this obvious contradiction with the views promoted by the religious right?. Being a liberal is not something to be ashamed of. It’s something to be proud of. Sean Hannity may think liberals are the spawn of Satan, but God seems to have a completely different view. Who’s right? God or Sean Hannity?
If those who are the most devoutly religious among us and believe in the Bible as the word of God, then they are going to face a serious problem. How do they claim to believe in the Bible and not acknowledge their own hypocrisy when it comes to their views on liberalism? With this kind of ammunition in your arsenal, I leave it to you as to how you apply it when dealing with some of the crazies that you have to deal with as part of your job. Hope this makes that a little easier.

I would answer that question by saying that cynicism, negativism, and pessimism are cheap and vulgar, and defy hope. To the extent that I don’t think that way, I have to answer your question as follows: since I am always hopeful, yes, that goes for everyone that doesn’t think like me.

Alan,
I know that you are a HRC supporter and you voted for her even though a respectable man should keep his vote secret. But i do understand that you want to do everything to undermine Barack Obama but we are watching you closely and stop putting these lame pictures on your website. Stop disturting Barack Obama records and statements.
Stop the Bickering or stop acting as if you were this nice liberal. You are a vicious and viral man. No matter what you do, Barack will win this election hands down. So, live with it.

Subject: Do you really believe YOU

Alan:

Sometimes I wonder if you really believe what you’re saying. You’re the kind of guy that thinks Hitler, Hussein and Manson should be given a voice and you would actually consider all three men’s side of the story as possible truth. Even given you know their character and crimes committed. You’d really give them the benefit of the doubt and you’d ask their accusers if they actually….really….without question, saw Hitler, Hussein or Manson “do” the dirty deed themselves.

That’s like questioning if the sun really came up today….maybe it really didn’t and we’re just so used to it coming up every day, it’s just our imagination!

You blow me away with your (lack of) logic and common, sensible decision making skills.

I don’t mean the aforementioned in a mean way…just stating what I consider a sad fact about you and fortunately, fewer than 50% of this country’s citizens.

However, I do hope you have a good day and your health well!

It’s so easy to mention Hitler, et al to your opponents in any analogy isn’t it? So nice that you misstate my thoughts on dictators, slam my reasoning skills, and then tell me how you don’t wish to be mean. Oh, and have a good day.

Colmes, I have never in my life seen such a “Jerk” on T.V. Especially a New’s host. I can’t believe you support a Muslim for President of the United State’s. This guy has no experience in doing anything for the country. Has never voted for any legistation worth talking about. But, he’s going to change America. What the “Hell” is he going to do for America. You know what he’s going to do “NO

Hell you’re nothing but tranformed
“Taxie-Driver”. Get off the the “Air”!

Marc,

I am not a “new’s” host. I am a “news” host. We live in the “United States”, not the “United State’s”. I don’t understand the “Taxie-Driver” reference, but it’s spelled “taxi”. And Barack Obama is a Christian, not a Muslim. Other than that, your email is very well thought out.

Best Wishes,
Alan

You know something Colmes. You and you’re “Dumb-Liberal’s” friend don’t know what’s you’re talking about. This guy is the “Enemy” form within. And all of you know this! But, as usual. You all don’t care. Thsi man is a “Muslim”, he’s no Christian. His mother was a white nonbeliever in God. And father is a “Black-Ass-Muslim”. His grandfather has ties to “Terrorism”. And you all can stand the “Truth”. The trouble is, All you “Liberal’s” know the fact’s but won’t tell the American people the “Damn-Truth”! And as far as taxi-driver stuff. Weren’t you a “Taxi-Driver” before you became a “News Host”.

Alan,

I love listening to Hannity on the radio and would like to be able to enjoy watching him on Hannity and Colmes but I cannot get past the fact that you are so rude and annoying. Also I more often than
not find you to be ill informed of the real facts, and I have yet to hear/ see you allow someone to finish a sentence without rudely interrupting them. Last time I checked conversations were meant to go two ways, and not just your way. the way you spin and change the topic is down right insulting and shows your lack of respect. When I do watch the show your comments and actions clearly demonstrate the fact that you are an ultra liberal. I myself am a moderate, conservative, republican and I enjoying hearing about other opinions and ideas and enjoy a good debate like most. I cannot bring myself to watch your show because of your rudeness, brashness, and lack of respect for others opinions and point of views. Somehow I doubt that
I am the only one who feels this way.

Dear Alan,

As one of your fellow Democrats, why do you insist upon remaining on that rotten Fox News Channel? You realize that you’re outnumbered by a bunch of self-righteous Republicans, such as that idiot who sits across from you! I utterly despise Hannity! He is nothing more than a self-righteous Son of a Bitch who thinks he has all the answers! I wish you would consider going to work for such a network as MSNBC, for example. I just hate seeing you on that Republican network, which has tried to con viewers for years into thinking that they are “Fair and Balanced”, which it is perfectly obvious that it is anything but! It is exclusively Republican-oriented, nothing more!! Surely you know that by now!

Thanks for Your Time!

Joanne,

Has it occurred to you that if I were not on Fox News, and if it were as biased as you claim, it would be even more right-wing? If you truly like the idea of a “fair and balanced” network, you should support my work at Fox.

No, Alan, I like you!!! I’m on your side!!! I feel that MSNBC is strictly left-wing; that’s why I watch it incessantly!! I just think that since it is so “Unfair and Off-Balanced”, it seems that you may be more content with a network with more Demos on it. I know I certainly would be! I don’t mean to sound presumptious, implying that you don’t like your work; it’s just that I’m reading my OWN mind, in that if I were in your shoes, I think I would be miserable!! No, I support your work. As a matter of fact, I think you should be either Hillary’s or Barack’s Vice-President!!! Please don’t ever feel that I don’t support what you do.

I appreciate your response!
God Speed EITHER DEMOCRAT; after all, either one would certainly beat WHAT we have sitting up there in the White house now!!!

Dear Mr. Colmes,

I can’t tell you how many times I want to throw a pillow at the screen because you won’t stand up to Sean. He is so much better at demolishing anyone with a different point of view. If you are taking the liberal side of the debate, take notes from him.

What bothers me is when you can’t assist the guests that are on your side. You sit silently while they endure the Hannity switchblade. I felt so bad for Reverend Lowry. He seemed like a nice man, and Sean had him on a witness stand, while you watched.

I think you should speak up more, cut Sean off. When I watch you sometimes I think “It’s Hannity & Comma”. Don’t’ let Sean overpower you-find your voice. You’re speaking for millions of people. If I stop watching the show it will be because I already know what Sean thinks, and don’t agree with him–and there’s no one to voice my side of the debate.

You clearly are forgetting to unmute your television when I start talking. Maybe you like Sean’s style better than mine. And I don’t have to demolish anyone. Conservatives are immolating on their own.
