Maybe Now He’d Show Up For His Medical Exam

Think Progress and The Carpetbagger report on Bush’s video conference where he displays troop envy.

“I must say, I’m a little envious,” Bush said. “If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed.”

“It must be exciting for you … in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You’re really making history, and thanks,” Bush said.

Maybe, knowing what he knows, now, he wouldn’t have let his National Guard pilot status lapse, wouldn’t have missed a key readiness drill, and would have shown up for his medical exam.

War is so romantic.

  1. So, who’s stopping him? He can enlist and take Cheney, Limbaugh, KKKlannity and all other chickenhawk republicans with him!

  2. “It must be exciting for you … in some ways romantic…”

Bush has a twisted version of romanticism.

  3. If it weren’t so pathetic it would be laughable, and it demonstrates precisely why this man is the most dangerous man on earth.

  6. W has been in La La land for years. Cheney and all those chickenhawks are’bunkered down’ and always thought of themselves as too good to do ‘dirty work’. Most people have figured them out for what they really are: A-holes.
