• Obama’s pastor is under fire. But has McCain’s “spiritual adviser” made comments that are just as offensive?
• Longtime minister Jerold Aust explains why he believes Jesus wouldn’t want us to celebrate Easter.
• It’s the Friday Night Free-For-All!

  1. Wow just watched you on your tv show.

Well done Alan! To be honest, you were more impressive than Barack Obama was.

But of course no one, NO ONE wanted to address what McCain’s “spiritual advisor” had said.

  2. Hello Alan,

As a right of center, type, but someone that’s not his head up the GOP’s behind…

The difference between McCain’s nutty freinds and Obama’s… is this..

    1. They were members
    2. He married Obama and his wife
    3. Baptized the kids.

I think he’ll be able to shake it off, but it’s bait for the 527’s.

  3. 30 seconds of preaching. Rewinded over and over again. It appears Barack Obama has spent 20 years of his life going to a church that has repeated 30 seconds of dialog over and over again!

Or is it possible Barack Obama has gone to a church who’s pastor endured the evil of Jim Crow. Is it possible the hoses turned on black men or the dogs turned on the children who plead for the privilage of white books, white bathrooms, and white laws was a history whose consequence would echo in the hearts in black men and children 40 years later? Why do these black people bitch so much?

Perhaps we cannot expect the black man to accept his 40 year freedom, free of racism and hurt like a good Ni$&er and refrain from reminding us how bad “grandpa”
    had it.

I’m not voting for an angry old preacher. I’m not voting for a beautiful black queen who understands poverty to princeton. I’m voting for Barack Hussein Obama who sees these angles and understands what to do.

Barack’s issues= Talk to enemy regimes. Hate has no place with Cuba, Iran, N. Korea, ect. Lower healthcare costs -do not attempt to force America, pull together for the greater good. Get out of Iraq. (There’s no right answer here, no perfect strategy, we’ve made a bad decision, some bad decisions cannot be passed unscathed.)

The issue isn’t Barack’s “crazy” uncle, or black wife.

The issue is “Barack Obama will be the best president available today.”

    Damn straight he is.

  4. I don’t know, this whole thing is crazy. Every religion is stupid. It’s laughable that people like Parsley attack other religions when his own beliefs are beyond insane. It’s sad that we have to bring such an infantile thing like religion into politics. Maybe someday we’ll be able to vote for a person that doesn’t believe in any religion or god.

I guess Obama has to call himself a Christian in order to be acceptable to Americans. I believe Obama is too intelligent to believe a word of what he says about Jesus and all of that. But there’s no way in hell he can get elected if he doesn’t give lip service to this nonsense called Christianity. I like him, and I think he’s the best candidate, but I hope we can do better in the future. And I really hope we aren’t electing another religious lunatic.

And concerning these two preachers, I don’t see any difference between them because they both believe in myths and superstitions. They’re equally nuts in my book. Their nuttiness is proof of how religion warps the human mind.

  5. I was always under the impression, that the Govt. of the US was supposed to be secular in nature;the separation of Church and State – your “Founding Fathers”, wishing to create a new land free of the religious intolerance of “old Europe”.
That being the case, in theory, the religious persuasions,[if any], of any Presidential candidate should thus be irrelevant. However, what seems to have happened in reality is that US politics and governance, in the latter half of the 20th Century and into the 21st Century has actually gone backwards, to become precisely what your “Founding Fathers” fled to avoid……
But, hell, I’m just a Scot, what would I know?
