What Clinton Really Said
It’d be a great thing if we had an election where you had two people who love this country, who were devoted to the interest of the country and people could actually ask themselves who is right on these issues instead of all this other stuff which always seems to intrude on our politics.
And he wasn’t referring to Obama. At all. He was saying the election should be on the issues, and that would be best for the electoral process. Those who are trying to claim that this somehow is a slap at Obama’s patriotism are once again trying to blame Clinton for something never said and never implied. They’re the very ones guilty of what Clinton is talking about here, avoiding the real issues of this campaign.

What happened to the sentences preceding this quote?
I do not have the exact wording but this is what it boiled down to.
John McCain loves this country…. Hillary Clinton loves this country….I’d be a great thing if…
Do you really think he wasn’t implying anything?

Liberals have fantasy dreams. This interpretation is one of them.

I have yet to see ANY preceding comments on any news station, it’s just the quote everyone is fussing about. How are we to know who he was talking about if the news won’t put it in context? The news is supposed to be impartial, right?

Yeah, forget the timing of the comments. Its not convenient at all.
Oh wait, its TOO convenient.

Ashanti, Slick Willie is vicious. You’ve got to be a real “dolt” if you think he did not mean anything by it. Keep in mind that a few years ago, he was considered the “First Black President”. He was quite the media and liberal “Darling”. Bill and Hillary are vicious, hedious people. B.O. stands not only for body order because he does stink, but he also a racist. They have one thing in common, they are politicians. Through and through. They all have money, connections, and extravagant lives, unlike the majority of Americans. All politicians, be it white, black, or hispanic will sell you out at a moments notice.

Print the ENTIRE quote!
“John McCain is an honorable man, and as all of you know, he has paid the highest price you can pay for the United States short of giving your life. And he and Hillary are friends. They like and respect each other. They have big disagreements on foreign policy and economic policy. They have taken reluctant Republican senators all over the world to prove that global warming is real but there is a way to deal with it that grows the economy and doesn’t shrink it. And we now have a bipartisan majority in the Senate to do something about this.”
He mentioned two people, Hillary and McCain, described McCain as honorable and a great leader, then stated that McCain and Hillary are good friends and THEN stated, “That’s the kind of leadership this country needs. And I think it’d be a great thing if we had an election where you had TWO people who love this country and were devoted to the interests of the country, and people could actually ask themselves, who’s right on these issues, instead of all this other stuff that always seems to intrude itself on our politics.”
Bill is a smart man and he was most definitely implying , by omission, that Obama does not fit that description. Yet he’s brought more of “all this other stuff” into the mess during his presidency than anyone.
