On Friday’s Radio Show…
• First it was Jeremiah Wright, and now it’s Willam Ayers. Is Obama being unfairly accused of guilt by association?
• Earlier this week, the Christian broadcasting world was shocked when a popular TV host revealed that he is gay. Azariah Southworth discusses his decision to come out.
• The Merlin Project’s Paul Guercio and Dr. George Hart predict what’s next in the 2008 presidential race.
• It’s the Friday Night Free-For-All!

In 1969 I watched as about 50 members of the Weather Underground marched down Dearborn Street in Chicago. They wore football helmets and carried baseball bats. Like a raging mob they Smashed cars and broke every window they could reach. THey are not political activists, They are simple THUGS !!

Regarding Obama, William Ayers, and Rev. Wright, the questions DESERVE to be asked. You can’t get a job at McDonald’s without completing an application that asks for two references, so why on earth should we elect a president with questionable connections? And that goes for all of ‘em! But come on… there is a reason that the idiom of ‘birds of a feather flock together’ is spoken so often… it is most often true.
We can look at Obama’s connections in a couple of ways. First, he could possibly be a racial extremist who will, if elected, attempt to pass legislation that benefits blacks and ignores whites… he could award blacks reparations and force all the whites onto a boat and ship them off to some remote island… lol His connections could also be an indication that he is an open-minded man who is truly able to understand all sides of the issue, and therefore able to assist in uniting people.
The only connection that even mattered was that to Rev. Wright. I’m black, and shun extreme black liberation philosophy as much as I do the extreme positions of the other side. The only reason the lapel pin became an issue is because Wright made what others feel are “unpatriotic” statements, they connected this supposed lack of patriotism to Obama, and then said, well he doesn’t wear a lapel pin and his preacher said such and such, so I guess he’s not patriotic. The Ayers issue is stupid, and not worth anymore media air time.

I appreciate that Azariah seems to have researched the homosexuality issue. It would be interesting to see if he creates some sort of website and/or group that explains his Biblical interpretations. I really hope he hangs in there, and doesn’t get discouraged by the fall out.

Hello Cheryl,
I heard you on the radio today and I enjoyed listening to your concerns. I’ll try to address them.
We agree on the silliness of the Ayers issue, but where we disagree is on the validity and permeation of the black liberation movement in Reverend Wright’s church.
Now I’ve seen about…17 sermons by Reverend Wright.
Each one touched points relevant to black Americans.
None of them you’ll see on the news cause they’ve scoured Reverend Wright and found the worst things he’s ever said…you may recognize it as the 20 second loop of “Wright’s greatest hits” to quote Barack.
Nothing else he says is controversial really. It’s a shame so many Americans swollow whatever the media tells them. The media is good a framing an issue and telling you what to think.
Pennsylvanians insulted at Barack Obama’s statements?!
No not really, (check the balancing polls) most knew exactly what he was talking about, the only ones insulted were “the Hannitys” and intelligent people really don’t take them seriously.
Cheryl, there is plenty to judge Obama by. Judge him by his work bringing poor communities food, church, money and shelter. There are no bitter white people shunning Barack in Illinois, cause the man has spent his life helping, helping, and helping. (Well maybe there’s one bitter white guy. ;)
Your latter opinion is backed by more facts and truths observable by evidence. “His connections could be an indication that he’s an open minded man who is truly able to understand all sides of an issue.”
I only hope 51% of Americans are smart enough to see it.

Noel, I like your well-thought-out remarks. I agree very much with what you said about Barack. The Senator and hopefully next president is a “classy” guy, who has a lot of refreshing ideas I think we need to hear. I am not naive to think that there people who still haven’t gotten passed the “race” issue….and that is sad, because they have limited themselves to a lot of things. It is not enough to say,or hope that we have gotten passed all this sort of thing. It amazes me how far into “Silly Season” this campaign has fallen…when the “Hannity-nuts” of the world have fallen out of their trees to be collected. It is apparent how hyperbolic and hyperventilating Hannity has become in trying to disgrace a man he has never gotten to know, a man who by his very resume, put Mr. Hannity to shame…maybe it’s jealousy or something worse, I don’t know…but it certainly is a shame the lengths that people will lower themselves too. I think there are 51%, maybe even more who are wise enough to not be taken-in by shallow-minded people, with lesser ideas. Not everyone is a George Stephanopoulos.

Trojan Horse thats all I need to say…

Bobby,
Your “Trojan Horse” theory is interesting. The guilty by association is real, and the plagerism of living by the good Rev Wright (living in a mostly white arena) does raise concerns. I will continue to pray for him.
I’m still not convinced by any candidate, and I only hope the Hitleristic news media implodes and the truth of a nation comes out for all of us.
Hillary will win PA, as stated by Bill O’Reilly, and the concoction of political warfare will continue. “With my last breath, I strike at thee!!”
Blessings – Scott
