  1. To the caller who says he’s given up on McCain because of his denouncement of the NC Republican party ad against two Democratic gubernatorial candidates:

    A. Wright being an extremist is not a factual characterization, it’s a subjective one. Claiming most people would disagree with him does not validate the opinion that he’s an extremist, as a claim is an assertion, not a statement of fact, unless proven to be so, and that knowledge must exist in the person making the assertion before he expresses it in order for his honesty to be valid in that regard.

    B. As you’ve pointed out, Alan, if someone is going to claim Obama agrees with everything Wright says because of their association, that person should provide evidence of such that pertains to Obama in order to validate his claim about him. The same requirement applies to the Democratic gubernatorial candidates.

    C. Conclusion: Two false, or unproven, premises lead to an invalid and unsound argument.

  4. McCain isn’t flip-flopping. You have to hold a position for more than one second to actually flip-flop.

    What he’s doing is the shilly-shally.

    You might also say “squirming like a worm.”

  5. how does McSame get away with it?

    Because of shows like Hannity & Colmes that when rightwing anchors with only a high school diploma like Sean hannity controls the agenda on that show and refuse to cover ANY criticism of John McSame.

    Its funny cuz Bill Oreilly, who had Dick Morris and Newt Gingrich and Dennis Miller, all on 1 show said he is ‘fair and balanced’ because he had a guest on who equally hates Obama and Hillary, yet he NEVER puts on anyone who even has some kind of same hatred of John McSame the way Gingrich and Morris hate both democrats!
