What “Family Values” Really Means
It means you have lots of families. Like this one, that Vito Fossella’s wife and three children didn’t know about.

As the New York Times says Friday,
From the day he went to Congress after a special election in 1997, Mr. Fossella has created an image in his district of Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn as the embodiment of traditional family values.
He was critical of Clinton during the Lewinski scandal, and praised President Bush as someone who would bring “character, dignity, honor and integrity” back into the oval office.” And this paragon of virtue, who made sure the local papers knew he stayed home on New Years Eve to have quiet family time, voted for the Marriage Protection Act and the Federal Marriage Amendment because those bills would protect the sanctity of holy matrimony.

I’m “shocked”. “Shocked” to read this.

Vito Fossella’s biggest “failing” is his inability to keep his pants zipped.

Gotta love those republican family values

This is absolutely tragic. It really is. I can’t even imagine what his family (legal family) is going through… his poor wife.
The only semi-positive thing here is that he was seemingly taking care of the child.
I don’t know how long he’s been an alcoholic, but I imagine that living with this lie has contributed to his alcoholism.

Speaking of family values, why the hell won’t Myanmar let aid workers in to help their people? This is ridiculous. The UN needs to drop some food in, fuck what their government says. I totally understand Myanmar not wanting our boots on their ground. Fine. But let the UN and other nations in to help. For God’s sake, their people are suffering.

Dear Alan:
Congratulations on exposing yet another Republican lawmaker with feet of clay. This is what happens when someone we expect to uphold moral values is shown to have human frailties. Congressman Fossella’s public career has come to an end. As a Republican and a conservative I have no problem with this.
However, it seems to me that whenever a Democrat is exposed as having committed a similar offense, his party circles the wagons, rallies around him and gives him a standing ovation. I guess that is what we can expect when a party has no moral values. I prefer to stick with Republican and conservative values any day.

Why talk about Fossella when we could be talking about the supposed “black love child” fathered by Slick Willy in the 1970’s. Is it because Barack HUSSEIN Obama is reluctant to anger the “LIBERAL LEFT”? Where was all this outrage from the left when Billy Boy was abusing those who worked “under” him? The liberal feminists gave him a pass even though he preyed upon those they claim to represent. I can’t wait for HILLARITY CLITGONE to expose indiscretions that Barack HUSSEIN Obama may have committed, as most know that black men have an innate inability to resist the temptations of the fair skinned white women.

Dear Don~
If you search for “Spitzer” in the above field in the upper right corner, you will see that Alan covered that particular issue with over a dozen blog entries.
That party circling wagons work both ways, but not on this blog with this host.

I had to read through the Spitzer stuff
Alan said…
Turns out he bought her a train ticket to import her from New York to DC, a possible violation of the Mann Act, which is rarely enforced in such instances, and was implemented in 1910 to stop the forcible transportation of people who couldn’t defend themselves. Don’t you think a New York governor should do as much as possible to keep business inside his state?
Among the comments for this post, Epiphany forgets how to spell “orgasm”. (Yeah girl. Me, too. That’s why I was so jealous of Miley Cyrus’s picture.) Louie emphatically questioned if that $1000 an hour meant that she pissed gold. And I hadn’t seen her webpage layout. Wow! Webpages for hookers… it really never occured to me.
Watching the clip from Conan’s show, I was reminded of the mock fight between him, Stewart, and Colbert. Conan is TALL.

And this stuff about Barack “HUSSEIN” Obama just goes to show how yesterday the neoCons are.
Excuse me, I meant “last century.”
“Neolithic”, even.

Hey, “RC fron Smithtown” if your so ashamed of your favorite candidates middle name why don’t you ask him to change it. I bet he won’t as he’ll want to retain the “muslim” connection his father endowed him with. I just wonder if his “pappy” also instilled an atraction to white women also. I can’t wait for the sound bite where at a campaign appearence he, HUSSEIN, asks ” WHERE DE HAWHITE WEMEN AT”

What’s the big deal? At least he seemed to love this second family and supported them. At least he didn’t rape her or sexually assault her with a cigar. At least she is not a young intern under his employ.

jeez, these blog posts need new people here to comment. why are the same people always on?
May 9th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
New people post everyday. Some post more than others, b/c they are actively involved in reading the blog posts and discussing it with others. I personally will continue to post as many comments as I like, when I like.

“Hey, “RC fron Smithtown” if your so ashamed of your favorite candidates middle name…”
Well, truth be told, I’m so marveling at the perspicacity of just this small bit of your comment that I’m struck by a dearth of reaction.

Suntan:
You should call Sean Hannity with that “information”. His incessant rhetoric of Rev. Wright and Ayers is getting redundant and he’s salivating for new crap to use in his show.
