Who Is The Most Liberal Of Them All?

It’s not Obama, as the right-wingers want America to believe.  According to Progressive Punch, which rates all votes, it’s New Jersey’s Frank Lautenberg for the 2007-08 session thus far.  Obama weighs in at number 41.  Lifetime, Obama is 25th, with Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island leading hit parade.  But the National Journal cherry-picked 99 votes to decide who is liberal. So, voting to establish a Senate Office of Public Integrity means you’re liberal, as does voting to implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission.

And the Obama-bashers fail to note that John McCain wasn’t rated in this ranking because he missed too many votes.
