Alex Castellanos: Okay To Call Hillary A White Bitch Because It’s Accurate

May 21st, 2008, 8:33 PM EDT

GOP moutpiece Alex Castellanos didn’t agree when Jeffrey Toobin said it’s wrong to call Hillary Clinton “a white bitch.” Toobin observes that you can’t say a similar comment about a black person. Castellanos said it’s not gender bias, it’s just who she is: “Some women, by the way, are named that and it’s accurate….She can be abrasive, aggressive and irritating.” Men who have those traits are admired; women are criticized.

Castellanos, by the way, is the person who did the infamous “RATS” ad during the 2000 presidential campaign, where you saw the word “RATS” along with images of Al Gore, before the camera panned out and you saw the word “bureaucrats”. Castellanos called that “purely accidental.”

The background on this is explained in a Maureen Dowd column from this past February.

In a webcast, prestidigitator Penn Jillette talks about a joke he has begun telling in his show. He thinks the thunderous reaction it gets from audiences shows that Hillary no longer has a shot.

The joke goes: “Obama is just creaming Hillary. You know, all these primaries, you know. And Hillary says it’s not fair, because they’re being held in February, and February is Black History Month. And unfortunately for Hillary, there’s no White Bitch Month.”

  1. Just a question but how is being called a “white bitch” and different then being called a “nappy headed hoe”? I personally think that ANYONE who has to resort to foul language and name calling is uneducated and rude. If you cannot get your point across without the name calling you should keep your mouth shut.

  2. edit *”nappy headed hoe” or ANY OTHER DERAGTORY COMMENT*

    Forgot that part, my apologies.

  3. I wonder if Alex Castellanos also crosses his legs everytime he hears Hillary’s voice as Tucker Carlson once said on his now defunct show.

I think the least I can do is name call right back at him. Both of them.

    Jerk.

  4. LOL…..

  5. The only people who admire men for being “abrasive, aggressive and irritating”, or “male bitches”, are either bitches themselves, of either gender, or mealymouthed sycophants kissing deep ass like the pathetic parasites they truly are.

Usually, I’d say this kind of bad behavior gets excused because the subject under discussion gets what he or she wants, regardless of what he or she must do to get it, which of course is always admired by people with no moral code, such as the parasites mentioned above.

And if it’s ok to call HIllary a bitch, then I guess we can just slide down the slippery slope and resort to calling people scumbags and assholes and the ever-popular m*th*rf*ck*r–because, you know, it’s accurate. And, hey, while we’re at it let’s all get some baseball bats and really show people what we think.

  6. Oh let’s get over it, everybody in the white house, congress, or wherever, call each other names. This is what most of us do in stress or fearful situations.
We’re politicians and politics can get real nasty.
Whether it is “purely accidental” or not, it is going to slip out no matter.

  7. I call Hilary a bitch everyday. It is Hilary bitch day for me everyday. I feel as though she yells at her audience, maybe she does deserve to get called a bitch.

  8. The problem is that he called her a “white” bitch. Using a person’s race as a descriptor is DISGUSTING.

  9. I didn’t think of it in terms of him useing the word “white.” Hmmm
I was just thinking what a low class person this fellow is for saying such a thing to the media. Sure,we all are guilty of name calling but there’s a time and a place……..Like behind their back. (just kiddin’) :)

  10. Hmmm. A real ass-hole calling someone a bitch.

  11. So, she is a “white” bitch. When you’re clearly upset, you can use any adjective you want. Race or not.
You can call me a hispanic bitch or you can call me a monkey bitch just as I could call you a stupid “black” bitch or a “jewish” asshole.
People stop being modest when they are angry and start cursing. There is obviously a line to cross there, you know, even behind their backs or in their faces and some people obviously JUST don’t care. They will use the cold and cruel adjective as race because it will probably hurt the person more.

  12. It’s kinda funny how he said it was “accurate” though.

  13. I hear what you’re saying Maria, but I just think that adding race crosses the line. It’s like if she were in a wheelchair, and he called her a “handicapped bitch”. I just think it’s really wrong to criticize things that are totally beyond someone’s control (like race, disability, etc.).

  14. I think it is wrong too but if we go and tell him in his face about it, guess what, he won’t care because that’s just the way it is.
Some people are uncomfortable with using that race thing when cursing out but I have lived in it all my life, it is not such a severe thing for me. Hell, even in my country of Brazil we do it…we have so a large mix of ethnic groups. I can call my sister a “brown” bitch or a “pardo” or ” you handicapped indigenous” bitch. (we do it all the time; we can demonstrate some real bad temper when angered.)

Sometimes I think America likes to curl up in the fetus position for the hell of it and just feel sad for matters they should already be “grown-up” about.

I guess I am a little more liberal about it when it comes to situations like these.

  15. he’s a misogynist a-hole

  16. “Mr.Obama,can we call her a bitch”?

    Yes we can.

Watching cartoons with my kids and Bob the Builder comes on. Could it be a coincidence that the moto of Obama and Bob the Builder is “yes we can”?
No I tell you. Look for the hiden connection.May the scales fall from your eyes.

  18. this is just funny. hillary is whatever she is. it is just a joke. if she becomes president or vice president she better get used to jokes. bush gets crap said about him all the time, from psycho to demon to moron, etc. you can’t have it both ways, either you are thick skinned or you get out of politics.
