The Pre-Holiday Document Dump

May 23rd, 2008, 2:32 PM EDT

In this case, it’s the release of John McCain’s medical records, if you call the cirumstances by which they are available a “release”.  One of the oldest tricks in the book is to put out information on the eve of a long holiday weekend, hoping little attention is paid.  And great restrictions are imposed.

On Friday, the campaign will allow a small pool of reporters access to the records from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Pacific time in a conference room at the Copper Wind Resort in Phoenix, near the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale. The reporters will be allowed to take notes but not remove or photocopy the records. Campaign officials said they were imposing the restrictions to prevent the actual records from wide dissemination.

Will the wingers who screamed about Bill Clinton’s medical records for years be upset about this?

  1. No need to classify left or right, just a “winger.” I like it, Big A! :D Cheryl called you Big A and though haters of you might misuse it, I like it.

I don’t see an issue with imposing restrictions…the records will be fully available for 3 hours. As far as timing, who knows? I think the biggest area of “concern” (if you want to call it that) will be that the guy is 71…and we already know that.

  2. Flap, Lol. I didn’t think of how that “Big A” could be misused. Alan’s vocabulary is so ridiculously extensive that I’m sure he can think of plenty of positive ‘A’ word possibilities.

    “The Pre-Holiday Document Dump” lol
