McCain Campaign To Bush On Fundraisers: Don’t Bother
President Bush was to appear with John McCain at the Phoenix Convention Center and at the Salt Lake City’s Grand America Hotel next week, but both events have been moved to private residences. Here’s how the White House is explaining it:
“As you know, we have a practice of having fundraisers in public venues as open to press and fundraisers in private residences closed to press to preserve the hosts’ privacy. The [McCain campaign's] practice has been to have all fundraisers be closed. And so a decision was made to move the location to comply with the practices.”
But the Phoenix Business Journal is reporting:
“Sources familiar with the situation said the Bush-McCain event was not selling enough tickets to fill the Convention Center space, and that there were concerns about more anti-war protesters showing up outside the venue than attending the fundraiser inside.”

Bush is going to be a bigger liability for McCain that Rev. Wright will be for Obama.

So the implication, I take it, is that protesters might have arrived in such numbers that they could not simply be “taken into custody” or “detained” and whisked away by command of the president’s advance team, because they might offend the president’s public image.

The President still has an image?

Michael~ Bush is only a liability for McCain to liberals, and cons and moderates who don’t support the war.
And regarding his image- no comment.

Please let that fool come out and get involved in McCain’s campaign! All of these kool-aid drinkers that think Bush is a good President are going to vote for MCain anyway, but the LARGE majority of Americans that don’t take Bush seriously will totally be turned off by him going after Obama.
Because Obama will be the nominee…Hillary.
