You Would Cry Too If It Happened To You

It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
Nobody knows where my top spot has gone
This was really my time
Why is he winning the hand
When it’s supposed to be mine
It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
I’ve got a record, and I’d work all night
Getting the phone 3AM
They were all dancin’ with me
Now they found a new Dem.
It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
Bar and Michelle just walked through the door
Like a queen with her king
Oh what a Tuesday surprise
When I was winning this thing
It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

This is random. Well, it is Friday.

Well, if I could get away with quoting Paulie Walnuts, I might say, “Welcome to the big league, rookie.”

I’m starting to dislike Twitter. It’s just not enjoyable. I’m awaiting to see what Alan can do with it on his site. Depending on what it’s like, I’ll likely delete my account.

I just came from the AOL comments section under the article about the Michelle “Whitey” tape. You know. It’s that infamous tape that doesn’t exist. Yeah that one. The hoax tape. Post after post after post after post. Pure racism.
CBS news had to shut down their blog for comments the other day because they were getting so many racist comments on there that they decided to just shut it down. I’ve been on other blogs and sites where I have never in my life seen such sickening words posted.
I have said that things are much better today then they were when I was a kid in the 60’s. But now I’m not sure. Yes it is a historic moment. But I do believe that maybe I was being naive. I knew there would be ugliness but not this much. And we still have 5 months to go. So it will get worse.
I’m feeling great disappointment in my country right now. I’m feeling great shame for my country.
Poor Hillary? Yes. And poor Barack too. Because with all that racist hate out there, combined with the infantile temper tantrums of hard core Hillary supporters who are more than willing to cut their noses in order to spite their faces, I don’t think that Obama is going to make it. This country is not ready. People are willing to do anything, and I mean ANYTHING to stop him. Even taking his life. Yes, I’ve seen that too many times now.
Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe a miracle will occur.
Maybe if I pray hard enough for goodness to win out.
Here is a really good video to watch. You might want to pass it along.

As a military member, I’ve had career goals broken off where I sit.
After a particularly lousy sea tour, I spent two weeks listening to Helmet “Aftertaste”, cranked up around the pain threshold.
Next time you’re chattin’ up the gal, pass that on for me.

Epiphany: I think there’s a lot of people who really believe in America and all the best things it stands for, so I wouldn’t be too worried about the small minority of little minds with big mouths, because they’re just froth in the wake of this ship of state.
If the snarling dogs of hate really amounted to anything, Barack and Hillary wouldn’t have gotten as far as they already have.

I hope you’re right RC, I really do. I don’t think it’s a small minority though. I’m seeing an avalanche of this kind of thing lately online and instead, a minority of people responding against it.
I saw posts from people that were praying that the whitey tape be true. Literally praying to Jesus that this tape exists. Just sickening. I really shouldn’t even subject myself to this stuff. It’s sad and depressing.

After Hillary bows out, we shall make a rule, “Thou shalt not kneecap a Democrat even if they deserve it.” The Party stands on an unwaiverable position of public accountability. Present the facts and leave the hype to the tabliods. The facts will hold us accountable and unite us.

Truly it is my party and i am crying because I want to.
Because my candidate Hillary Clinton did not get the nomination.
Damn. Oh well I will have to support Obama for president.
