Joe Lieberman has unleashed the Jowls of Terror…

it’ll be interesting to hear Wesley Clark defended. the conservative pundits have been basically calling him a stupid pussy all day.

I see nothing wrong with Clark’s comment, but reasonable doubt, which is what Clark has expressed, doesn’t matter to the pc crowd, and Obama likely has no option but to denounce Clark. To quote Bush, Sr., or Dana Carvey as said Bush, “…wouldn’t be prudent…”, not to. Would it?

Note that this is back when SNL was funny, 100 years ago. Epi knows that era well.

McCain has this “Truth Squad” which includes Bud Day. One of the assholes in the Swift Boat for Truth commercials. Bush took credit for the GI Bill which he opposed and thanked several senators Webb, Warner, McCain. Of course, McCain didn’t support or vote for it. I guess that’s what the Repubes think they need to do. Just rattle of bullshit that can be disproved with The Google in about 5 minutes. I guess that is a way. Just hope the voters are too stupid to do any research of their own. This shit makes me wanna puke. It’s like a Bill-O show…

lol WFG. Actually, I sure do. Last Sat. night I watched once again, the very first Saturday Night Live with their very first host George Carlin. Was wonderful. Chevy Chase, Belushi, Gilda, Lorraine Newman, Garret Morris, Jane Curtain, Dan Ackroyd, Andy Kaufman’s first performance, a film by Albert Brooks, Jim Henson’s (very twisted) Muppets etc. Good memories.
Loved Dana Carvey, Mike Meyers, Chris Farley, Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler and so many others.
The first cast from 1975 to 80 was the absolute best but I still loved the show until about 1995. Then it started going down hill a bit. After 2000 it was the absolute WORST! I don’t watch it much anymore.
Makes me feel sad. But for a pick up I just watched this again, Andy Kaufman’s first: Ode to Mighty Mouse

Thank you…and good night.

The attacks on Clark are clear obfuscations of his main premise that training for a situation does not equate to relevant experience in that situation. McCain has greater knowledge and sympathy for the military perspective, that much is true, but unless Clark is wrong about McCain’s actual experience in the context Clark presented, Clark’s opinion isn’t unreasonable.
Knowledge and experience might overlap in importance, but they are not the same thing.
June 30th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
By greater knowledge and sympathy, that was meant in comparison to Obama. Sympathy is meant with reference to experience. Empathy and sympathy have different meanings.
June 30th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
I don’t know that McCain’s sympathy does much for anybody, certainly not any vets who’d like to go on to college after they’re discharged.

I love when the truth is spoken. All hell breaks loose .. it’s great to see

Sympathy with regard to the military’s perspective in the wars they’re active in.

THAT IS FUCKED UP

This saber-rattling with countries who don’t agree with the U.S. is lunacy and really needs to stop. I’m just glad that my job in the Air Force isn’t one that provides support for this “war” which was never declared against a country that never attacked the US, and isn’t one which would not provide support for actions in Iran. If my position in the AF did I would seriously consider objecting and taking a prison term, but sadly most people Ive worked with in the AF don’t hold such ethical standards. (Gotta blame this situation on the conservative loons)
Its great that Mr. Horn wasn’t convicted of anything, although it is unfortunate two people died. Another unfortunate thing is that many people (seeming to be mostly bleeding-heart liberals in these types of cases) are so willing to stick their heads in the ground as crimes are being committed around them. Good on Mr. Horn overall, although he should have taken steps to at least attempt a citizen’s arrest before shooting. Speaking from experience with weapons, shooting someone is the last thing I’d want to do and would try to avoid it yet still protect myself, my property, and my neighbors.

You know, I could understand this Jim Horn situation better if it had happened because the guy had lost it due to a fit of overwhelming fear or anxiety of some sort. But if you listen to the tape, you can clearly hear that he enjoyed killing them. He liked it. It was an opportunity to do some killin’ and he took it and had a good ole time doing so.

i don’t think he killed them

The politics of spin. Historical revision usually occurs when an Archaeologist uncovers new evidence that alters how we view past events. Unfortunately today we have a historical predator on the prowl. This big cat in the jungle of political or social history is a new species called Historcus Alterus Absenta Truthis. This carnivore breads in think tanks and foundations. Their main diet is mudding proven stated history without discovery or proof. Historicus Alterus uses conjecture in place of evidence to rear their young. Historicus Alterus is very protective of their offspring in that they like to use one small quote or snippet of writing and spin it out of its greater contest with the goal towards a distortion of history in the minds of their young. This Family of Politicthean Devious may go extinct if people do a little research for themselves. Yes Historicus Alterus is a predator that requires a habitat that does not question what it is being told. Look forward to an upcoming National Geographic documentary about this elusive but often heard species.
