Larry Craig And David Vitter Want To Protect Marriage

July 1st, 2008, 5:30 PM EDT

Not their own, necessarily, but everyone else’s. They are co-sponsoring the Marriage Protection Amendment.  I can’t think of two better guardians of our morality to do so.   But, they better hurry. Our heterosexual relationships are in great jeopardy until they get this urgent piece of legislation passed.

  1. Is this a joke? lol, Good one Alan.

  2. If god exists, these two aren’t proof he likes Republicans.

  3. Well, Larry Craig is afraid that if gay marriage was legal, he’ll have no one to play with in public restrooms.

  4. If they wanted to protect the sanctity of marriage, maybe they should have stayed faithful to their own wives.
WTF is up with folks who feel like marriage is in danger if a gay man or woman is allowed to say “I do”? I really, really don’t get it.

  7. LOL Epiphany. but no, Big A’s not joking this time.

Okay… honestly… why couldn’t they find two better representatives for this bill?

I really wish that we could just find another word for gay marriage to SHUT THESE PEOPLE UP.

  8. Hypocrite Amendment…

  9. Oh no! My kitten hate has been exposed. Will I ever be able to post a note without feeling the great shame? lol

  10. Larry Craig needs to resign. HEAR THAT, LIBS? Intellectual honesty.

  11. And it has nothing to do with his potential homosexuality…he was SOLICITING SEX IN A BATHROOM.

  12. Gotta love those conservative values.

  13. [...] Louisiana Senator David Vitter.  Vitter, you may recall, was on the client list of the DC Madam, in spite of being a co-sponsor of  “The Marriage Protection Act”, and in spite of being a “family values” [...]
