Five Years And Almost 4000 Deaths Since “Bring ‘Em On”
h/t Think Progress
Q: [W]ith the attacks on U.S. forces and the casualty rates rising, what is the administration doing to get larger powers, like France and Germany and Russia, to join the American occupation there? [...]
BUSH: Let me finish. There are some who feel like – that the conditions are such that they can attack us there. My answer is, bring ‘em on. We’ve got the force necessary to deal with the security situation.

So basically we should sit around and wait for another attack that will take thousands of lives instead of using those lives to protest the rest of the country….makes total sense.

What a sad little man.

Bush is an ignorant moron!!! I know you don’t like name-calling Alan, but at this moment I thought it was appropriate. We went into Iraq on false pretenses, and basically ignored Afghanistan and searching for Bin Laden, but all Bush can say is “bring ‘em on!”? And he and his surrogates can only say, to try to explain it, is a lame repose, of “rather be fightin them over there, than fightin them over here~” This man should be tarred and feathered for this nonsense that has hurt so many more people. He needs to be held accountable, he is contemptuous!!!!!

Still waiting for George Bush to apologize to the million and a half Iraqi’s who are now refugees in other countries.
Well, you never know…

Of course it’s easy for Bush to say “bring ‘em on” while sitting in the safety of the white house surrounded by security. This is the same man who weaseled his way out of serving in VietNam (along with his toady, Cheney).

The President should have to go to the front lines of every war we fight. In fact, let’s have the President charge in first, then our generals, on down. The less trained people should go in LAST. Perfectly sensible.
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:22 pm
Why not have Bush go to the front lines first? He had no reservations sending 18 and 19-year-old children to their deaths. Over 4000 of our finest and thousands of Iraqi men, women and children have lost their lives and for what? OIL!
Apparently this war is just a game to the Bush administration and to hell with the casualties.

I wonder if a what are you thinking post would be redundant.

Alan, sent you an email of what I am thinking. It’s actually a request.

What happened to the brillant plan, Shock and Awe?
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:09 pm
Bush sure is a tough guy. I like how the last two times Patraeus talked to Congress, Bush awarded 2 Medals of Honor to fallen soldiers. It’s amazing what a pig this man is. He has absolutely no shame…

George McGovern ended the Viet Nam war by a promise to end the war in 90 days if elected at the ‘72 Democrat convention Nixon freaked out ended the war in 60 days Thanks George or that war would still be going on.Warmongers never want to win wars they are fun! to the cheneys, bushes, limbaughs, and hannitys who never fight them just profit from them by supporting the troops with concerts and investing in warmonging defense contractors.Pathectic we always say we lost 4000 troops but never mention the dead Iraq innocents.

And the Wiki says Shock and Awe never happened.
As for Bush, couldn’t we just find someone who can do the guy’s voice, and have this “impressionist” record all the things Bush says over and over and over, and then, when it’s time for a press conference, or a speech, or whatever, just play the tape!
