Found in an abandoned house in Fallujah, Iraq, and rescued by Marine Lt. Co. Jay Kopelman, Lava and Jay went through PTSD together.
Jay (and, hopefully, Lava) join me on radio tonight.

We can search the world in places where the most inhumane things happen and still find bits of humanity. What’s the point of cherry picking the good from all this evil? How many dogs and kids died without the spotlight on their lives? What makes one soldier more special or more worthy of sharing than any other? I remember a day when soldiers were prevented from being photographed. I liked that day better because this is propaganda or discrimination. A soldier is special because they served. What they do is their job and telling the story is unfair because there are so many others who cannot share without putting others in jeopardy. Keep the blanket rule of no coverage in place and end the inhumanity. Nothing good will happen in Iraq until there is peace. I apologize to any patriot who disagrees or foolishly believes one is more special than any other. This is propaganda not news.

Great story and an absolutely beautiful dog!
Cecil, evil is constant and ubiquitous. That’s the depraved state of the world. Without “cherrypicking,” as you put it, it would be hard to live on a day-to-day basis. How about: “Nothing good will happen in the world until there is peace.” If you cannot rest until all wars or evil stops, you won’t be able to rest.

This is not a news blog. It’s not even the “official” blog of liberalism, and it’s not intended to be either. This is Colmes’ personal blog. Complaining about him cherry picking stories is ridiculous. Propaganda or not, he wants to cover the story because he is interested in it. Enough said.

It’s obvious that animals are more intelligent than humans. What war has ever been started by an animal other than man? Animals fear humans, and they should.

Oh my gosh, Lava looks like my (now deceased) Chopper dog. What a terrific story. I’m glad these 2 are able to enrich each others’ lives. As far as I’m concerned, dogs are one of the best things in life.
