Pemberton Township GOP, Be Very Proud

July 9th, 2008, 5:44 PM EDT

New Jersey Republican County Committeeman Ed Kuck put this up on the website of the Permberton Township Republicans

He took it down, he says because someone told him it was offensive.  Good thinking.

Responses to this post...

  1. Forget the fact that this is offensive to anyone with morals. The more tasteless horrible shit the Republicans spew forth, the more it re-enforces the view the majority have of them. An intolerant bigoted party that hates the poor…

  2. What is wrong with what it said, truth hurts sometimes. Barac Hussein Obama is an elite socialist who wants to bring down this country, not help it. Just look at his tax plan, and total lack of a defense stratagy for this country he claims he “loves”. He has no comprehension of what national security is or means, that is well illustrated on his total lack of an energy plan. Oh, I guess you could call accepting high fuel price and a lack of incentive other that “conserve” a plan.

  3. Both sides do this crap.

How exactly do Republicans hate the poor? How exactly are Republicans so bigoted if people like Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice rise to the positions they did? Seems like the only intolerant people are people who immediately label and namecall when people don’t think like they do.

  4. Truth hurts sometimes….you just never hear it from the GOP.
Smear and fear is all they have.
It doesn’t matter because they are only speaking to the choir anyway.

What kills me is that they are the first ones to get the vapors when someone call them racist!

Oh and Flap, Bush is an elite CORPORATE socialist.
Remember at a fund raiser, he said,
“This is an impressive crowd – the haves and the have-mores,” quipped the GOP standard-bearer. “Some people call you the elites; I call you my base.”

The difference is that he believes in wefare for his big corporate ‘welfare queens’!

  5. “What is wrong with what it said…”

Well for one thing it’s tasteless and crass, and if she had been my sister I’d sock the guy in the mouth.

“Just look at his tax plan…”

Ya, the rich pay more. Sounds good to me.

  6. Old Lefty:
I couldn’t have said it better myself. BTW, Johm McCain (you know, the guy who’s married to a beer heiress?) has also called Obama an elitist.

    James:
Let’s look at Obama’s tax plan. He proposes to tax the rich and give tax breaks to the middle class and poor. Now if you are one of the top rich guys looking at a tax hike, I can understand how his plan would bother you.

  9. With this kind of campaigning going on from the GOP, Obama will still come out looking really despite of his vote for the FISA bill.

  10. that sign was a JAW DROPPER for me. that was totally TRASHY.

  11. i can’t believe that was on a politically affiliated website. ridiculous.

  12. Do you all remember the James Byrd dragging death ad in 2000? James Byrd was a black guy who was killed by evil morons by being dragged behind a car until he died. George Bush as governor actually supported their EXECUTION but didn’t enact hate crimes legislation.

Byrd’s daughter participated in a Democratic ad: “So when Governor George W. Bush refused to support hate-crime legislation, it was like my father was killed all over again.”

    http://www.gwu.edu/~action/ads2/adnaacp.html

Now THAT was despicable. I don’t blame his daughter…she was being USED to create a horrible ad. This was a NATIONAL TV ad, too, not some yahoo “Pemberton County” ad.

    By the way:
    Pemberton County Population: 1,200

  13. No I am not a rich elitist, but I do know that I never got a job from a welfare recipient, low income worker or a dope addict. You tax the “rich” more and you will see more and more layoffs. Capitalism, not socialism has been the engine of this country. Speaking of the “poor”, I bet the vast majority of them may say they are “poor”, but they have a cell phone, cable or satelite tv, and two vehicles in the yard. You cannot tax in prospertity folks, like it or not, the wealthy provide the quality jobs in this country. The government cant run social security, how do you expect them to run the medical system. Liberal Bliss!

  14. James,
But you don’t have a problem with, say Halliburton, who gets no bid contracts (corporate welfare),even when they don’t deliver the goods,(cost plus),
AND moves its corporate headquarters to Dubai.
This means that while it’s board room is here, and it uses the roads and the fire and police departments, the burdan of paying for these public services is carried by the butcher, and the baker, NOT Halliburton because their headquaters are off shore, so they don’t have to pay taxes.

    Someone once said:
“I get my social security check on time, my driver’s lincense on time, and my passport on time.
It’s been over a year, and I’m still trying to get bogus charges off my phone bill, or getting my insurance company to pay the doctor bill that they are supposed to pay.

Actually. there are a lot of REALLY bright young MBAs
in India, who will work for much less than American ceos. Perhaps corporations can outsource THEIR jobs to save money for the shareholders.

  15. If the tax codes were not so punishing in this country, they may have stayed here.

I have a big problem with elitist who think they can spend my money better than I can. I really do believe when government (FDR) began to take over the roles filled by families, churches and charities.

I do not think someone who does not and will not work should eat or live as well as someone who does. As long as welfare pays more than an entry level job, you will have some of these messes. Health care would not be the mess it is today if the lawyers could not file all these phony and frivalous lawsuits. I speak of this first hand knowledge. Just watch TV during the day, when most of the welfarists are at home, and count the number of lawyer commercials encouraging people to sue sue sue!

I would love to see an honest debate on these issues, but no one has the fortitude to do it.

  16. This isn’t the thread to do that, James.
You are off base anyway though.
Perhaps if you had to go on welfare, especially if it’s more than a few weeks/months, you’d sing a different tune.
I’ve been there, it no fun.

  18. I have seen little to nothing from Barack Hussein Obama that indicates he loves America. Why all the contempt for successful Americans? I thought the American Dream was to better yourself. How is punishing people who take chances and succeed in the best interest of this country. How is taking money from a successful businessperson or someone who accumulates wealth and giving it to someone who is irresponsible or will not work “Loving America”. Actions speak louder than words, and I can hear out of Barack Hussein Obama is hot air and change. Change alright, change in your pocket.

  19. James said,
“I have seen little to nothing from Barack Hussein Obama that indicates he loves America.”

I guess you are not paying attention… He IS a successful American!
He has said many times that only in America could his story come true.

    You say:
“How is taking money from a successful businessperson or someone who accumulates wealth and giving it to someone who is irresponsible or will not work “Loving America”.

But that is EXACTLY what modern conservatives do to the middle class.
They take money from tax payers for jobs never or half done in Iraq so that we have 9 billion missing. They allow big corporations to go off shore so that the small businesses have to take up their share of the tax burden.
They let big business go overseas for cheap labor, but protect the drug companies from competition by not allowing us to buy from Canada at lower prices.

For conservatives, it is big government socialism for cronies and corporations, and the inclemency of the free market for the rest of us.

There’s a reason why old time republicans like Kevin Phillips who was a senior strategist for Richard Nixon’s 1968 campaign, and wrote the book, ‘The Emerging Republican Majority,’ which is widely regarded as one of the most influential recent works in political science have turned away from the party….

He said about the Bush family:
“— This is not a family that has a particularly strong commitment to American democracy. Its sense of how to win elections comes out of a CIA manual, not out of the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution.”

Obama is ten times the patriot these guy ever were.

  20. OldLefty: I agree with you on the loss of jobs, and I put that squarely on the US tax code and NAFTA and other so-called trade agreements. I guess I just cannot fathom how Obama claims he loves America if he is trying or promoting the destruction of one of the fabrics that makes us America. The more you Tax corporations, individuals and small business, the less jobs they will create or have. That is simple economics.

  21. James,
But they DON’T create jobs, they get MORE greedy and send them overseas.
Their goal is to force the people of the world to compete for the lowest wages.
When they can’t ship the jobs out, they want bring the cheap labor in.

The saddest thing is, in my opinion, is that they feel they no longer have to settle for mere millions, when they can get hundreds of millions or billions.

Coporations used to pay their share.
The ceo of Costco made ( 2 years ago), $500,000 and said that’s enough.
Warren Buffet and Bill Gates sr. both say that this country allowed to make their money and they SHOULD give back in the form of fair taxes.
Both maintain that the tax laws heavily favor coporations over regular people.
