Some children, ignored by society, also lead horrible lives that can result in their demise. We are the guardians of our furry friends. We put animals to death so we can eat them, so there’s probably nothing wrong with putting them to death out of their misery.
Aunt Sally might want to die because she is clinically depressed and that needs to be treated. Very difficult issue. I think euthanasia of human beings is a different subject than animals, but if someone *wants* to die it’s hard to make a blanket statement saying they cannot.
If there is no ultimate moral standard or ruler then yeah, who is to say? That’s why I don’t understand the pluralism that a lot of libs seem to gravitate to. We can question everything, really, RC. Our moral decisions are arbitrary.

did you guys hear that Bud Day of the McCain camp said that “the Muslims have said either we kneel, or they’re going to kill us”? the problem is of course that he failed to differentiate between “the Muslims” and “the radical Muslims”. McCain’s people released a statement saying that “The threat we face is from radical Islamic extremism”.
I saw the story on CNN (which totally SUCKS compared to FOX news, of course). here’s a comment from the blog post of this article. i thought it was funny bc it sounds like something someone here would say:
