  1. This is like saying the problem with rain is bad weather. Sure there’s a psychological element to what’s happening with the economy. Ask anyone who plays the horses, or Wall Street. But the problem is there’s a real flesh and blood horse out there on the track and if it’s had crap for feed it ain’t gonna run like a Derby winner no matter how hard you whip it.

    And the Republican message is getting to be like whipping a dead horse.
