Robert Klein’s Choice For McCain’s VP

Rumors are flying out of the John McCain camp that a surprising and seemingly counterintuitive choice for the vice presidential running mate is imminent. There may be a proposal afoot among Republicans to name Senator Larry Craig of Idaho McCain’s running mate. The theory being that if, as expected in November, after eight years of Bush incompetence the party’s chances go into the toilet; Senator Craig is, among his party, the most well acquainted with the territory.

  1. The Republican choice for VP has been so obvious that it’s not news worthy. Rudy Guiliani and McCain offer the only chance of a Conservative Victory without dumping President Bush under the bus. Rudy puts New York in play and cuts into Hillary’s angry base. Rudy is a “National Hero” and McCain is an “American War Hero.” All the Republicans have to offer is “Life in a Post 9-11 World.” I think President Bush reading “My Pet Goat” as the world changed is good reason to demand we change it back. The truth about what McCain, Bush, and America knew prior to the event hasn’t been shared. Republicans hope to manipulate the electorate with fear and hate. We’re sick of it. Joe Biden beat Rudy with “A Noun, Verb, and 9-11.” Joe Biden can be the Dick Cheney of the Democratic Party by paving the way for Hillary after Obama. It’s a strong strategy. We can win.

  3. McCain obvious choice for VP should be Roger Ailes, the CEO of the Fox News Channel. Ailes and Fox News are campaigning harder for McCain than the RNC, so McCain owes him the VP slot, lol.

  5. To be honest, I don’t have any idea who McCain will pick, but I doubt it would be a Senator from Idaho. He’s probably already got Idaho in the bag, and it’s not that big of a state anyway.
