  7. I’m slightly dissapointed. Myself, along with fellow Christians around the world assumed the antichrist would rise from among the Middle Eastern Muslim nations. Being half right isn’t too bad though. Don’t you agree?

  9. Dave leave conservative alone. He is always right in his views.

  10. For the record I dont think Obama is a Muslim.. nor believe he’s the Antichrist, which is absurd.

  11. Dave,
Your theory of Christian theology is slightly off kilter, to the left maybe? Millions of Christians are aware of an antichrist.

  12. Vince P,
Scripture mentions the antichrist and his rise to world power. Speaking in the same manner as Obama did this very day in Berlin. There is nothing absured if there’s a possibility is there? Even if you do find my comment to be slightly absurd, I would have thought you would at least had found some humor there.
    However, I respect your citicism.

  16. But think of his meteoric ride to where he is now. He beat out Hillary, which everyone was convinced would be the next president. He draws crowds that no one has ever drawn, even overseas. It’s not because he’s saying something of substance. Any time he says something of substance it’s something that JFK or Reagan already said. A couple of times he went further back in history even.

Honestly, I wish she were still in the race. I would vote for her in a sec.

  18. The Antichrist comes from the land of the ancient Macedonian/Greek Empire.. When Alexander the Great died, the empire was split into 4 kingdoms. The Antichrist will come from Seleucid Empire, which controlled the land of today’s Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran.

Daniel 8:21 The male goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between its eyes is the first king. The horn that was broken and in whose place there arose four others stands for four kingdoms that will arise from his nation, though they will not have his strength.Toward the end of their rule, when rebellious acts are complete, a rash and deceitful king will arise.

In Revelation the Empire from which the Antichrist comes is revealed here

Rev 17:9 (This requires a mind that has wisdom.) The seven heads are seven mountains the woman sits on. They are also seven kings: five have fallen; one is, and the other has not yet come, but whenever he does come, he must remain for only a brief time. The beast that was, and is not, is himself an eighth king and yet is one of the seven, and is going to destruction

In the Bible, a mountain stands for an Empire. When John wrote this, the five fallen Empires which controlled Jerusalem were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece.

The 6th Empire to control Jerusalem, the one that was around when this was written, was Rome.

That means there are still two more Empires, a 7th and 8th. The 8th being the End Time Empire.

John writes that the 7th Empire has not yet come.. so it cannot be Rome. The 8th Empire is one that “was” but is not “is”. That means the 8th Empire cannot be the 6th Empire , because Rome “is” at the time of John. Each of the first 6 empires destroyed the empire that preceded it.

The next empire to control Jeruslaem also destroyed Rome. The 7th Empire is the Islamic Caliphate which destroyed Rome in 1453 when Rome’s capital Constantinople fell to the Ottomans.

No other empire destroyed the Islamic Caliphate. The Turk Republic abolished the office of the Caliph in 1922 and the 7th Empire ended.

The 8th Empire will be the restoration of the Caliphate.

The Antichrst will be the future Islamic Caliph, the Mahdi. Iran believes this person to be the 12th Imam.

Elsewhere in the Bible, the Antichrist is given the titles of King of Babylon. The Assyrian, Phoreoh of Egypt, King of Trye. Gog of Magog (Magog is Turkey).

All these places are Islamic nations today.

And in the Book of Isaiah, the word the KJV translated to be “Lucifer” in arabic means “Crescent moon and Morning Star”. the Islamic emblem.

The Antichrist comes from Syria or Turkey. And he is a Muslim.. the inheritors of the ancient religion of Sumer , whose high god was Sin, Crescent moon god of war.

  27. LV- interesting story about you and Obama. that’s funny bc i feel that way too, sometimes. sometimes i really dig him and he inspires me. then at other times i’m just not interested in his message. i don’t always feel that he’s specific enough.

  28. “And the Antichrist according to Christian Theology, will be loved by everyone, and will unite the world.”

This theory is incorrect. As someone else said, there will be resistance.

The bible was employing some use of hyperbole to stress how powerful he will be. The Antichrist will be quite busy in the Middle East. The bible doesn’t concern itself with things going on in other parts of the world.

By the way.. how many of you have heard this.. in the Greek, the “666″ is written using specific glyphs/”letters”

Two of the glyphs are identical to Arabic script which reads “In the Name of Allah”, and the 3rd glyphs looks exactly like two swords crossing each other, like on Saudi Arabia’s flag.

And how many people knew that when Muslim armies would go to war that the Muslim would wear badges on their forheads that say “In the Name of Allah”.

Look at any picture of a HAMAS or Hezbellah rally, and you’ll see them with the Arabic script written on some cloth that they wrap around thier forehead.

  29. You know why it’s creepy to see Obama speak and not hear his words.

Because his face is angry. This is an angry man on a mission. He has the face of a demagogue.

  30. Dave, really his skin color has no bearing on that. I’ve gone through all that with myself. I tried my damnest to get down to why I have this feeling about him.

And I think Brad Pitt is gorgeous and would do him in a second. But I’ve never had that kind of feeling about anyone. I can’t explain it to myself or anyone else.

And Cheryl it’s so strange how I can’t explain it. I even try to see it in McCain but I can’t. I say oh his eyes are very dark but that don’t cut it.

It’s just something about Obama and not his skin color. Like I said, I tried to go that route with myself. It’s just not me and I’ve known myself for many many years.

The point is moot, people have been crying, “Oh Lord! He’s the Antichrist”

This has been said of Popes to Presidents. And furthermore, its a recent trend in Christian thought that in order to justify their belief, the try to manifest the Antichrist.

I’m just glad I’m not arragont enough to think I know the designs and thoughts of an omnipotent being…

  38. In my case it’s not arrogance. It’s just something I cannot explain. Before that all I ever knew about Revelations was the 666 and the antichrist. It still upsets me to read through that part of the bible. I started doing research about end times though and I don’t like what I read. 42. “I’m just glad I’m not arragont enough to think I know the designs and thoughts of an omnipotent being…”

I hear you, Dave. Now, after studying the Bible you can grow confident that you understand the mind of God as layed out in the book. But interpretations vary. We have hundreds of denominations, and sects within denominations bc interpretations vary so much.

The same rule applies to any other holy book- to any other book or document period. People have different interpretations of our Constitution. Is it meant to change as we change, or remain the same as it was originally written? How do you properly interpret the 2nd Amendment? Does the 1st Amendment guarantee free speech at all times and in all situations?

  43. As an enlightened being, I interpret it more in favor of the pro gun side.

  95. There was just an attempted Honor Killing last week

    1
Afghan immigrant accused of trying to kill sister

Infuriated because his younger sister was going to clubs, wearing immodest clothing and planning to leave her family for a new life in New York City, Waheed Allah Mohammad stabbed her outside their Henrietta home, prosecutors allege.

Afterward, he told Monroe County sheriff’s investigators that he attacked his sister because she had disgraced their family and was a “bad Muslim girl,” according to court documents.

Mohammad, 22, is scheduled to appear Friday in Monroe County Court on charges of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault in the May 8 attack on Fauzia A. Mohammad, 19.

    and more

    2
A Georgia man facing charges that he killed his daughter for disgracing his family declared his innocence.

“I have done nothing wrong,” Chaudhry Rashid told Chief Magistrate Daphne Walker at his Tuesday hearing through interpreter Younis Farhat, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

During Tuesday’s hearing, Rashid told the judge he wanted to observe his Muslim beliefs while in jail, including a diet that forbids the consumption of pork, the paper said.

  96. This guy is talking about the prophecy given to Abraham after the birth of his son Isaac. Ishmael was born first. From Ishmael we supposedly get the Muslim line, from Isaac the Jewish/Christian.

Considering that Arabs have tried to invade the region that we think of as the Roman Empire a couple of times during ancient history, it’s not necessary to conclude that the Bible is referring to end times prophecy vs. prophecy based on an established pattern of cultural relations in the region.

  97. Yes, Dave. The Jews are God’s “chosen people” by which he planned to work out salvation for the world. According to the Bible.

You are a liar and a fraud Colmes and we hear the agreement in your voice as you cover for the Zionists. 104. It is through the nation of Israel, that God reveals himself to the world. For a time God had favored Israel, contingent on their adherence to the covenent with Moses (the Law)

Having failed to live up to those expectations, God placed upon Israel the penalties the Law called for.. which was exile from their land.

During this time, God focuses his plan of redemption onto the Non-Jewish people. God says he is doing this to make Israel jealous and also to show Israel that God is forgiving.. because look, God is forgiving the Gentiles.

Once God’s work with the Gentiles is accomplished, God said he would return the Jews from their Exile and bring about the fullfillment of his promises to the Jews but not before Satan through his agent the Antichrist, bring calamity to the world and God judges the nations that come against Israel. After God himself defeats Israel’s enemies, God will directly rule the world from israel, and all suriving nations will worship God by going to the land of the Jews.

  105. Cheryl: The difference between Jew/Christian End Time beliefs and Muslims is this.

Mostly everything I said above starts with “God will .. ” in other words… the Jew/Christian is passive. He does not control the events. The events are pretty much out of control and overwhelimg them.

However, a Muslim faith is different. They believe THEY , the human Muslims, must fight in aggressive, offensive warfare. THey must go out and conquer lands and peoples.

So you see they have totally opposite views on should behavior be motivated by these beliefs.

The Muslim is under religious mandate to come under the leadership of soemone who will claim to be their eschatological leader and then go out and start slaughtering people.

CHristians and jews believe they themselves are the slaughtered.

  106. Okay, the religion of ISLAM did not exist during the time of the Old Testament but the Arab nations DID.

I’ve got it in my “pile of things to read” but I haven’t gotten down to it yet. Religion, oil and debt. The foundation of modern society.

The dangerous thing about the wackjob devout is that they can’t be happy keeping this stuff to themselves. They’re driven to proselytize. Some of that religious fervor is on display right here.

  128. Vince P,
In Daniel, his description you mention is of both Antiochus IV Epiphanes and the antichrist at the end of human history.

Rev 17:9-11 Here John is refering to Rome, the city famous for it’s seven hills. The city of Rome symbolized all evil in the world. Whatever view is taken of the seven hills and seven kings, this section of scripture indicates the climax of Satan’s struggle against God.

Rev 17:12 The ten horns represent kings of nations yet to rise. Some may very well exist at this time.

Rev 17:16 The prostitute mentioned to be destroyed by her allies could be the United States. It seems we may be the prostitute nation when you consider our trillions in debt to the world. She is refereded to again in Rev 17:18

Rev 17:18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth. The great prostitute represents the seductiveness of the government system that uses immoral means to gain its own pleasure, prosterity, and advantage in the world. Does this “great city” sound somewhat like our own? We’ve prostituted ourselves and aquired a world debt we cannot repay.

As for the antichrist, it remains unclear from which country he will rise out of. However, I have no doubt he will be Muslim as you mention. The counterfeit of Christ. He will unite the world under his leadership. Obama made that very statement today in Berlin. People will be awed by his powers and miracles. This again is happening with Obama. People are impressed by power and will follow those who dispay it confidently and forcefully or offer it to their followers. All of which Obama has done on a world stage today.

I believe he is a Muslim in disguise. Scipture isn’t specific as from which country he rises from, only that he will rule the world for a brief time among the middle eastern nations.

This is why I refer to Obama as the antichrist. He may not be, however I could not ignore the resmblence for reasons that I’ve mentioned. Tell me, does it really sound that absurd to you now my friend?

  156. The Conservative.. you’re right.. Daniel chapter 11, is a dual prophecy. Daniel describes the wars between Secuelid and Ptomely Kingdoms, culminating with Antiochus IV Epiphanes .. Daniel 11:5 – 35 are describing the past, and then verse 36 onwards is the future.

Regarding your Rev 17 viewpoint. I disagree. You’re adhereing to a culturally dominate viewpoint that most christians have but its’ wrong. For one, those aren’t hills the city is on.. it’s mountains. Mountains are empires.

Also, all of the prophecies have to reconicle with one another.

The place to start is in the Old Testament with the literal prophecies. All the literal prophecies speak of God judging various nations.. every single nation he calls by name in the Old Testament for destruction is Muslim today.

Westerners do not appreciate that the Bible is an Eastern book. Westernerns do not appreciate the significance of all the literal prophecies beign against Eastern Muslim nations.

You start with the literal.. and when you get to allogiries or metaphors, you use the literal as a guide to decode them.

Once you do that, you realize that Rome has no role to play at all.

In fact John in Revelation went out of his way to emphasis that Rome is not the future empire. Notice how he uses the strange phrase “is not” when describing the future beast.

He is saying “is not” because Rome is the “is”. Rome is the empire of his day. he’s saying his empire is NOT the one in the future.

Rev 17:8 The beast you saw was, and is not, but is about to come up from the abyss and then go to destruction

The inhabitants of the earth will be astounded when they see that the beast was, and is not, but is to come

17:10 five have fallen; one is, and the other has not yet come, but whenever he does come, he must remain for only a brief time

17:11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself an eighth king and yet is one of the seven

    ===

So John is saying again and again.. the 6th Empire, Rome, is not the 7th Empire and it is not the 8th.

  157. There are regular callers with cool names like- Southern Pride, Bob in Vegas, John the Trucker, Elmo. I don’t really want one, ‘Mouse just mentioned it above.

  175. By the way.. with the decline of American wealth, the near future fall of Europe and the largest transfer of wealth in the history of mankind to Arabia, it’s very easy to see Arabia fitting the description of Babylon in Rev 17 and 18. Islam’s origin as a religion is from Babylon. that’s where the moon god came from before finding its way into mecca as Allah.

Islam’s holy texts were canonized in Baghdad. The Caliphate capital was Baghdad at one time… and then it was moved elsewhere and then eventually to the conquered capital of Rome.. Constantinople.

All throughtout the Old Testament there is a heavy emphasis on Turkey/Syria as being the specific location of the Antichrist’s rise to power.

Israel and Syria are the only land-mass that all 7 of the Empires of Revelation and Daniel all held in common.

The Gog Magog prophecy is also emphasising Turkey… and it also emphasis the current-day lands of Shiia Islam.

Here is the chapter, I’m putting the current day location in brackets:

Ezekiel 38:1 The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, turn toward Gog, of the land of Magog [central Turkey], the chief prince of Meshech [Central/Western Turkey] and Tubal [Central/Western Turkey] . Prophesy against him and say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal [Central/Western Turkey] .I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and bring you out with all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them fully armed, a great company with shields of different types, all of them armed with swords. Persia [Iran], Ethiopia [Sudan/Somalia], and Put [Libya] are with them, all of them with shields and helmets. They are joined by Gomer [Eastern Turkey, Kurdistan] with all its troops, and by Beth Togarmah [Caucuses] from the remote parts of the north with all its troops – many peoples are with you

  176. dave- i don’t understand? why should i have called?

  190. I feel you, LV. I’m like that myself. However, I try to remember that there’s a difference between someone who hasn’t had access to education, and someone who CHOOSES not to educate themself.

  191. I wasnt’ ignoring you Cheryl.. do you know how long it takes to write what I did?

Whether or not I take the Bible literal isn’t the question.. my question is … what does it say.

pretend it’s a book from aliens.. the text still says what it says. The only way to make sense of somethign is to read it at its face value and try not to use your own cultural bais in trying to give things you dont understand meaning. (i’m not saying you specifically)

Christians in the West viewed many of things written in the old testament through the lens of thier cultural bias. They never imagined that the Jews would literally return to Israel. That’s when the “spiritualizing” of prophecy started. It was because they couldn’t accept it at face value and had to come up wiht some other explanation.

I think that approach doesn’t work well. When i realized i was reading it all wrong and I started to read it again.. trying to be objective.. trying to pretend I have never read it before and try to get the fresh meaning.. a lot of thigns began to make sense.

  192. Very true Cheryl. I had shitty role models as parents. I pulled myself out of their way of life. I don’t abuse my children and don’t tolerate others doing it to their own. All my siblings are the same when it comes to that. Only 1 didn’t make it,,,he was killed in NYC in a barfight about 20 years ago as a heroin addict. It’s all personal responsibility.

  220. LV- yeah, things like that really suck sometimes.

I totally understand what you’re saying about your ex. That’s NUTS. I don’t know why parents think it’s okay to bruise their children. My son gets spanked when he does something that could effect his life, like running into the street.

  221. That’s cool, Dave. See a lot of times blacks forget that whites were not ALL against them. They can lump whites into one category just like blacks can be lumped into one category.

  222. I really don’t care if you think I’m a bigot or not.. I can’t control your shallow mind and how it “thinks”

What I’m concerned about is the truth. Have I said anythign untrue. So far no. Not that anyone has pointed out .. other than to fall back into their indoctrination warfare training and unleash a barrage of “you’re a racist”. Since the objective isn’t to find the truth , but to destroy anyone you disagree with.

  223. LOL “Go ‘head, speak to the black people”. LOL

  224. My kids have seen me calm so much that their only memory of me losing it is once I threw a chair and a cooler into a wall. Learned my lesson though because I had to fix the damned wall after that.

  227. LOL, LV! that’s crazy! what did they do? lol i’ve had my mommy moments like that

  228. Hasn’t anybody noticed that almost everytime a politician goes on tv for an interview or speech the trend is to have at least 6 to 10 American flags in the background. Like maybe one is not sufficient?
I think the patriotism crap is gettin’ as deep as the religious fanaticism!

  229. Pooh- LOL LOL LOL LOL

  230. LV, you are so DEAD ON.

Here’s a tip for you guys. Bc liberals are not as popular as conservatives, you can get Alan’s book dirt cheap on Amazon, especially if it’s used.

  231. You know Cheryl, I don’t even remember. They were probably fighting. I’m so glad they’re almost grown. It’s easier now, just more worry.

  232. I recommend getting the book bc all of that is discussed there.

Alan, do you care if I quote a couple of paragraphs for the ladies tomorrow? Just a couple of paragraphs from the book.

That way you guys can enjoy a taste of it.

  233. You think he would let me sneak in a semi-colon?

  234. Mary, based on what you just said I know that you’d like the book.

I didn’t mean that I’m only quoting the book for the “ladies”, I just mean bc me LV and Mary are the ones discussing this right now. Dave is MIA, and Pooh is lurking, as usual.

  235. A long ass Thomas Jefferson sentance?

  241. You know one of the things I like about Alan? I can hear it in his voice when he’s bothered by something racist or nasty that someone says when they call into Graffiti.

    LV- he’s got thick skin.

  242. all right, girl! that’s how we like to celebrate our friday’s here! and pooh will have some ice cream

  249. If anyone wants a good few reasons to reinvigorate your contempt for the Federal Government, check out this lecture by Dick Morris about his new book,

Fleeced: How Barack Obama, Media Mockery of Terrorist Threats, Liberals Who Want to Kill Talk Radio, the Do-Nothing Congress, Companies That Help Iran, and Washington Lobbyists for Foreign Governments Are Scamming Us…and What to Do About It

    His complaints are bipartisan.

Our govt is a disaster and not getting better.

  251. Mary- the book is called RED, WHITE, & LIBERAL. Amazon is a reputable online store, so you can safely order from them. Here’s a link to the page:

    http://www.amazon.com/Red-White-Liberal-Right-Wrong/dp/0060734337/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1216963939&sr=8-1

Let me know if you need any tips or help ordering.

  252. Colmes is a filthy Zionist pig.

  253. LV- what kind of diet are you doing? if it’s weight watchers, just budget it into your points. if it’s another diet, make your own sub at home using low fat wheat bread and low fat meats. pile on the veggies.

  254. Hello~

Tonight’s show was interesting because it taps into a theme I see often where groups of intellectuals continue to prime us for the eventual middle east war that inevitably will consume the world.

Well, more or less as it goes…

So I find myself championing alternatives to the rhetoric that has taken hold of too many Americans.

    “Most muslims have bad intent.”

“War is neccessary in the Middle East.”

“Republicans better understand the issues facing America today”

And I have to say it’s been immeasurably rewarding to look into these issues and many more while learning and changing as I mature alongside my beliefs and knowledge as they too diversify.

So I think everyone here can appreciate the complexity inherent in adult ideas, beliefs, and action.

But how frustrating it must be when we try to interject those complexities in a social forum!

How easily we allow our minds to dull and become ineffectual when faced with the adversity of our own historic influences and personal egos.

How easy it is to become a rampaging idiot the moment your passions are challenged.

    Religion.

    Politics.

Videogames. (ok that last one is subjective, but
some of you who know how
    vicious these guys can be!)

I say this because tonight I asked Alan’s guest “What about peace?”

And he said “We’ll get what we want” essentially.

    But that’s just the problem.

If it’s reasonable to say that our culture has become fixated on instant gratification, or preoccupation with self, then what the hell does “We’ll get what we want” mean?

I’m terrified by getting “what we want”.

If we get what “we want” I fear there will be little room for patience, little want for compromise, and small threshold for sacrifice.

I hope “what we want” is to realize “what we need”.

And what we all need is to learn to acknowledge and value each other’s arguments, seek a wider perspective, and attempt to see through the brilliant distortions, fantastic fabrications, and subversive fictions that bombard our minds every day.

After all, we’re playing for keeps here.

  255. Noel it all starts with people confusing their opinion as fact…and blah, blah, blah

  256. Well yeah, if you want to condense my whole post into a neat 15 word sentence.

But what the hell fun is that?

  257. :P

  258. Told you he’d comment tonight.

  259. Hey C.C.~

Sorry I don’t write much anymore. Who has time for all the arguing and fussing?

As much as I love insulting people and disagreeing with my best sensibilities, I can barely find the time to call Alan’s show.

(Which I do, while driving 80mph down 64 on my way back from work -not the easiest frame of mind to talk politics.)

But I do come in just to read you guys all the time. I gotta go now, thank god it’s friday…….

  260. Oh and before I crash, I hear you on the radio girrrl, good shit.

  261. I always know when you’re going to call in based on the subject, and you always post after you call.

I’m tired of the bickering, too. But unfortunately the really negative ones who come on here aren’t going anywhere. Epiphany disappears sometimes bc she gets sick of it. I usually just skip over the negative commenters, but they’re on my nerves, too. It’s great that people can get together and share differing opinions, but no one wants dicks in the mix ruining the fun. LOL

  262. Dicks in the mix..dicks in the mix?…wasn’t that MC Hammer’s last hit?

    GOOD NIGHT.

  263. Cheryl is tired of bickering yet she can’t help herself but to bitch and complain in almost every comment.

  264. Some people claim that the Bible is proven or backed up by the existence of some historical events, which appear in the text. That is not evidence of anything if we actually think about it. I can write a novel or work of fiction that has real historical events within its fictional text. I can write a fiction book about World War Two but the only factual event would be the War. The characters, personal events, drama, plot; etc would be fictional even if the surrounding environment were World War Two Europe. Claiming that the Bible is justified, authentic, or the 100% accurate word of God because there is some actual historical aspects within it is not real evidence of anything. Many movies have correlations with actual historical events or locations but the story and characters are made up. Read a work of fiction and my point is made. Now there is a group of books that are entirely fictional, fantasy and science fiction. (Lord of the Rings or Star Wars series) The people claiming that the Bible is some how proven have not watched the X-Files. There is an FBI and unexplained events, There is an Area-51, but Scully and Mulder are not real, Ask your self a question; The movie JFK by Oliver Stone used some real history, would that mean that everything in the move then is fact of fiction?

  265. You give me plenty to bitch and complain about. You leave a lot to be desired.

  266. Frank Dogwood,
First, the bible has never been disproven. Second, it has more than one author. Third, if you say you can write than why aren’t you writing? Fourth, if you did write, you could never ever write anything as interesting as the bible. Have another hit of whatever and go back to your TV reruns.
