July 24th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
I’m slightly dissapointed. Myself, along with fellow Christians around the world assumed the antichrist would rise from among the Middle Eastern Muslim nations. Being half right isn’t too bad though. Don’t you agree?
July 24th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
You conservatives prove yourselves wrong but are to stupid to see it.
If Obama was the Antichrist, everyone would love him, including conservatives.
July 24th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
Dave leave conservative alone. He is always right in his views.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
For the record I dont think Obama is a Muslim.. nor believe he’s the Antichrist, which is absurd.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
Dave,
Your theory of Christian theology is slightly off kilter, to the left maybe? Millions of Christians are aware of an antichrist.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Vince P,
Scripture mentions the antichrist and his rise to world power. Speaking in the same manner as Obama did this very day in Berlin. There is nothing absured if there’s a possibility is there? Even if you do find my comment to be slightly absurd, I would have thought you would at least had found some humor there.
However, I respect your citicism.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
I dont know about you conservative, but I have read Revelation. And the Antichrist according to Christian Theology, will be loved by everyone, and will unite the world. Not just unite a bunch of liberials.
I love how you people point to the bible when you have no idea what is in it.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
Well Dave, you might be wrong there, it also states that those who do not receive the mark of the antichrist will suffer. So that would mean not everyone will fall in love with him.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
LV that comes later when its revealed what he is.
But at first he is loved by all.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
But think of his meteoric ride to where he is now. He beat out Hillary, which everyone was convinced would be the next president. He draws crowds that no one has ever drawn, even overseas. It’s not because he’s saying something of substance. Any time he says something of substance it’s something that JFK or Reagan already said. A couple of times he went further back in history even.
Honestly, I wish she were still in the race. I would vote for her in a sec.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
Dave,
Wrong again Dave. Even if it said by all, “all” would be a reference to the unbelievers of Christ.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:22 pm
The Antichrist comes from the land of the ancient Macedonian/Greek Empire.. When Alexander the Great died, the empire was split into 4 kingdoms. The Antichrist will come from Seleucid Empire, which controlled the land of today’s Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran.
Daniel 8:21 The male goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between its eyes is the first king. The horn that was broken and in whose place there arose four others stands for four kingdoms that will arise from his nation, though they will not have his strength.Toward the end of their rule, when rebellious acts are complete, a rash and deceitful king will arise.
In Revelation the Empire from which the Antichrist comes is revealed here
Rev 17:9 (This requires a mind that has wisdom.) The seven heads are seven mountains the woman sits on. They are also seven kings: five have fallen; one is, and the other has not yet come, but whenever he does come, he must remain for only a brief time. The beast that was, and is not, is himself an eighth king and yet is one of the seven, and is going to destruction
In the Bible, a mountain stands for an Empire. When John wrote this, the five fallen Empires which controlled Jerusalem were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece.
The 6th Empire to control Jerusalem, the one that was around when this was written, was Rome.
That means there are still two more Empires, a 7th and 8th. The 8th being the End Time Empire.
John writes that the 7th Empire has not yet come.. so it cannot be Rome. The 8th Empire is one that “was” but is not “is”. That means the 8th Empire cannot be the 6th Empire , because Rome “is” at the time of John. Each of the first 6 empires destroyed the empire that preceded it.
The next empire to control Jeruslaem also destroyed Rome. The 7th Empire is the Islamic Caliphate which destroyed Rome in 1453 when Rome’s capital Constantinople fell to the Ottomans.
No other empire destroyed the Islamic Caliphate. The Turk Republic abolished the office of the Caliph in 1922 and the 7th Empire ended.
The 8th Empire will be the restoration of the Caliphate.
The Antichrst will be the future Islamic Caliph, the Mahdi. Iran believes this person to be the 12th Imam.
Elsewhere in the Bible, the Antichrist is given the titles of King of Babylon. The Assyrian, Phoreoh of Egypt, King of Trye. Gog of Magog (Magog is Turkey).
All these places are Islamic nations today.
And in the Book of Isaiah, the word the KJV translated to be “Lucifer” in arabic means “Crescent moon and Morning Star”. the Islamic emblem.
The Antichrist comes from Syria or Turkey. And he is a Muslim.. the inheritors of the ancient religion of Sumer , whose high god was Sin, Crescent moon god of war.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:23 pm
Obama looked very presidential overe there.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:23 pm
Let me just say, I have watched Obama since he first came to my attention on Oprah. I fell for him and that is REALLY not me. I watched him for a few months and thought wow, he’s great. Then something made me mute him speaking one day. I watched the TV without listening and something creepy came over me. I did it a few more times after that. I never got over that creepy feeling.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
Conservitive,
Have you been reading the Bill Clinton play book? You want to argure what is, is.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:29 pm
LV, so your never taken with anyone on T.V.?
So you were not taken with say, Brad Pitt or any of the other pretty boys?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:31 pm
have you all heard about the community college campus shooting in AZ? this is so sad.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:31 pm
LV could that creepy feeling be because…Gasp!!! He’s Black?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
Hi All…just listening
July 24th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
And before you write me off as a nut, I am christian but not a fanatic. I was raised and schooled a catholic. I don’t preach and try not to force my opinion on others. It’s just something about him. That’s why I wish Hillary were still in it. Not that McCain would have a better chance against her, I don’t believe that. Just because I have this awful feeling that I’m gonna be one of the sufferers and I’m a bit chicken about it. I’ll go through it cause I won’t denounce Jesus, but I don’t really want to.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
LV- interesting story about you and Obama. that’s funny bc i feel that way too, sometimes. sometimes i really dig him and he inspires me. then at other times i’m just not interested in his message. i don’t always feel that he’s specific enough.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
“And the Antichrist according to Christian Theology, will be loved by everyone, and will unite the world.”
This theory is incorrect. As someone else said, there will be resistance.
The bible was employing some use of hyperbole to stress how powerful he will be. The Antichrist will be quite busy in the Middle East. The bible doesn’t concern itself with things going on in other parts of the world.
By the way.. how many of you have heard this.. in the Greek, the “666″ is written using specific glyphs/”letters”
Two of the glyphs are identical to Arabic script which reads “In the Name of Allah”, and the 3rd glyphs looks exactly like two swords crossing each other, like on Saudi Arabia’s flag.
And how many people knew that when Muslim armies would go to war that the Muslim would wear badges on their forheads that say “In the Name of Allah”.
Look at any picture of a HAMAS or Hezbellah rally, and you’ll see them with the Arabic script written on some cloth that they wrap around thier forehead.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
You know why it’s creepy to see Obama speak and not hear his words.
Because his face is angry. This is an angry man on a mission. He has the face of a demagogue.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:35 pm
Dave, really his skin color has no bearing on that. I’ve gone through all that with myself. I tried my damnest to get down to why I have this feeling about him.
And I think Brad Pitt is gorgeous and would do him in a second. But I’ve never had that kind of feeling about anyone. I can’t explain it to myself or anyone else.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:35 pm
hey, Mary.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:36 pm
what’s this about becky and sam buying apples?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:37 pm
Now I don’t see anger in him Vince, I do see a beautiful man image.
And Cheryl it’s so strange how I can’t explain it. I even try to see it in McCain but I can’t. I say oh his eyes are very dark but that don’t cut it.
It’s just something about Obama and not his skin color. Like I said, I tried to go that route with myself. It’s just not me and I’ve known myself for many many years.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:39 pm
Vince I see you bought Haggee’s tapes.
The point is moot, people have been crying, “Oh Lord! He’s the Antichrist”
This has been said of Popes to Presidents. And furthermore, its a recent trend in Christian thought that in order to justify their belief, the try to manifest the Antichrist.
I’m just glad I’m not arragont enough to think I know the designs and thoughts of an omnipotent being…
July 24th, 2008 at 10:39 pm
There’s an over abundance of posts of a headache-inducing length around LL.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:41 pm
LV! i just read what you said about “doing” Brad Pitt. LOL
July 24th, 2008 at 10:41 pm
I do my best to ignore those particular posts, WFG. Apparently there aren’t enough anti-Muslim and anti-Black racist angry blogs for Vince to hang out at. So he hangs out here.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:41 pm
In my case it’s not arrogance. It’s just something I cannot explain. Before that all I ever knew about Revelations was the 666 and the antichrist. It still upsets me to read through that part of the bible. I started doing research about end times though and I don’t like what I read. And I’ve even tried to explain to myself that it’s happened before in history, blah blah blah. It hasn’t worked.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:43 pm
It’s not even the content, it’s the length. I don’t come here for commenters dissertations, or whatever.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:43 pm
Hahah Cheryl…and that’s even after he hooked up with that bitch he’s with! I can’t believe how he did Jennifer so bad.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
Dave: Sorry to disappoint you but I never bought any tapes from Hagee.
And btw: are you incapable of discussing something without inventing “facts” about other people.. you did it to LV and you did to me.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
“I’m just glad I’m not arragont enough to think I know the designs and thoughts of an omnipotent being…”
I hear you, Dave. Now, after studying the Bible you can grow confident that you understand the mind of God as layed out in the book. But interpretations vary. We have hundreds of denominations, and sects within denominations bc interpretations vary so much.
The same rule applies to any other holy book- to any other book or document period. People have different interpretations of our Constitution. Is it meant to change as we change, or remain the same as it was originally written? How do you properly interpret the 2nd Amendment? Does the 1st Amendment guarantee free speech at all times and in all situations?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
As an enlightened being, I interpret it more in favor of the pro gun side.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
Hi to you Cheryl! Hey Dave…I’m there with you!
July 24th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
Good point Cheryl.
OMG this guy said he was calling about the ad and I instantly thought, man this guy is calling about a job?
July 24th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
I wonder if Iraqis in Anbar call a snooze alarm a McCain alarm. Eitherway, they can’t be awake until it buzzes.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
I like the way we interact on this blog. You guys are the best
July 24th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
Wow,, Cheryl is getting deep.. different people have different interpetations.
Wow.. such insight! I love how intellectual you guys get. Finally.. someone stating the obvious!
July 24th, 2008 at 10:49 pm
LV just inspired something. Few moments to see if it pans out.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:49 pm
Vince be nice,,,Cheryls my gal
July 24th, 2008 at 10:50 pm
WFG if you say you’re headed to the toilet then I’m insulted!
July 24th, 2008 at 10:50 pm
WFG- It’s BOTH. He’s CRAZY.
LV- I felt bad for Jen, but I think they broke up bc she didn’t want kids and he wanted about 50 million of them. He comes from a large family, too.
For the last time, Alan- we need to be drilling AND developing renewable fuel.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:51 pm
Thank youuuuu. If we don’t drill for our own oil we’re screwed. Any other options are too far out time wise to do us any good.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:52 pm
“OMG this guy said he was calling about the ad and I instantly thought, man this guy is calling about a job?”
LOL
LV- Vince is a disgusting bigot. But thanks. :0)

July 24th, 2008 at 10:53 pm
It’s utter stupidity to say that we shouldn’t work on drilling bc there will not be an immediate relief in oil prices. Guess what? 7-10 years from now, I bet I’ll be damned glad that we started drilling NOW. This isn’t a one solution problem.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
WFG, I can’t check the link. I’m on an old laptop, and I can’t risk moving off this page. Plus, videos don’t load properly for me.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
That’s what I wish Reid and Menendez would realize. Specially Harry. He’s pissing me off with his god complex. His beliefs are destroying Vegas but I think he wants that. Anyone from Searchlite has Vegas envy.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:56 pm
I couldn’t get it to load either and I’m on my desktop.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
music video of you’re the best by joe esposito.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:58 pm
Vince,
Inventing facts? No.
Bad jokes? maybe.
And I wasnt really talking about anybody on the blog just christian thought in general.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:59 pm
Also, Cheryl, since you like Red Eye, sadly, E has yet to see the light, you should see the first edition of Today in Mr. Perfect segment. RedEyeRecap at youtube has it, and the panel’s responses.
July 24th, 2008 at 10:59 pm
In the name of all that is good, no more %^#@^$#@^&@ Dane Cook!
July 24th, 2008 at 11:00 pm
I love Dane Cook!!
July 24th, 2008 at 11:00 pm
I’m a bigot for being against cliterectomies.
Go figure.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
The only reason I have ever watched Red-Eye, was that it was like a wreck on the interstate. Its so terrible its hard to look away.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
Loathe him highly, one of the most annoying “comics” ever.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
Dare we talk about the torture issue again? I saw a story online tonight that the ACLU released an 18 page memo (with 10 full pages redacted) they got from the CIA using the Freedom of Information Act.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
Lo, but two people need to see the light.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
How about that guy in Texas? Killed his 2 daughters for becoming too western. He married an American and raised his girls in America and kills them because they dated American guys.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
LOL, Dave about Red Eye.
I saw Dane Cook live last year. He’s HILARIOUS.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
Dave: Other than the gratitious hagee comment, I tend to agree with what you had said.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
I have no comment on the torture issue, sorry.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:03 pm
I think I heard about that. He’s a Sharia Law Muslim right?
July 24th, 2008 at 11:03 pm
cliterectomies? I must have missed something… Who said you were a bigot for being against this barbaric practice?
July 24th, 2008 at 11:03 pm
Disturbing, LV.
I think I shall never fail to regret bringing up Cook.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:03 pm
I didn’t hear what sect, just that he’s Egyptian
July 24th, 2008 at 11:03 pm
The big deal about the torture memo is that it shows that the CIA was authorized to torture prisoners.
I don’t have a problem with torture that is within the Geneva Convention guidelines.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:04 pm
Hahahah WFG, ok how bout Lewis Black?
July 24th, 2008 at 11:04 pm
Lewis is good.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:05 pm
Vince. Thats just what I thought of when you posted that bing list, reminded me of Hagee with his end times powerpoint. Cracks me up.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:05 pm
Dave- Vince’s statement was designed to present himself in a better light by saying he was against that specifically, versus all of Islam.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:05 pm
I don’t mind the torture aspect as long as it doesn’t leave scars, marks or broken bones.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:05 pm
My dog and cat have become needy and it’s getting annoying
July 24th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
I’m reminded of Pat Robertson now.
Again, why do PETA and Robertson hate Virginia so much?
July 24th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
This man’s argument that you need something spiritual to hang on to to survive life is an argument that atheists use against religion.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:10 pm
I’m having a hard time following him
July 24th, 2008 at 11:12 pm
i’m not paying attention
July 24th, 2008 at 11:13 pm
Hahah I wasn’t at first which is probably why I couldn’t follow him. But now he’s talking about what we were talking about I think.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:14 pm
“… the Antichrist according to Christian Theology, will be loved by everyone, and will unite the world.”
Elvis!? He’s not dead, you know.
Roy is an odd duck. Another odd duck. It’s nice to see nutjob Jews and nutjob Christians (Hagee, et al)can agree on something: massive death from successful terrorist strikes and if they get “lucky”, the end of the world.
You know, there was a time when these strange people were “fringe”. They seem to be more mainstream than ever. They are only self fulfulling prophets.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
dunno. i don’t feel good, so i’m going to go. send pity thoughts.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
feel better fast
July 24th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
Pity thoughts~~~~~~~~~
July 24th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
Was’nt Jews Gods chosen people?
July 24th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
There was just an attempted Honor Killing last week
1
Afghan immigrant accused of trying to kill sister
Infuriated because his younger sister was going to clubs, wearing immodest clothing and planning to leave her family for a new life in New York City, Waheed Allah Mohammad stabbed her outside their Henrietta home, prosecutors allege.
Afterward, he told Monroe County sheriff’s investigators that he attacked his sister because she had disgraced their family and was a “bad Muslim girl,” according to court documents.
Mohammad, 22, is scheduled to appear Friday in Monroe County Court on charges of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault in the May 8 attack on Fauzia A. Mohammad, 19.

and more
2
A Georgia man facing charges that he killed his daughter for disgracing his family declared his innocence.
“I have done nothing wrong,” Chaudhry Rashid told Chief Magistrate Daphne Walker at his Tuesday hearing through interpreter Younis Farhat, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
During Tuesday’s hearing, Rashid told the judge he wanted to observe his Muslim beliefs while in jail, including a diet that forbids the consumption of pork, the paper said.

July 24th, 2008 at 11:18 pm
This guy is talking about the prophecy given to Abraham after the birth of his son Isaac. Ishmael was born first. From Ishmael we supposedly get the Muslim line, from Isaac the Jewish/Christian.
Considering that Arabs have tried to invade the region that we think of as the Roman Empire a couple of times during ancient history, it’s not necessary to conclude that the Bible is referring to end times prophecy vs. prophecy based on an established pattern of cultural relations in the region.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
Yes, Dave. The Jews are God’s “chosen people” by which he planned to work out salvation for the world. According to the Bible.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:20 pm
oops I looked at the wrong date on the website for the first story.. it was in may , not last week
July 24th, 2008 at 11:20 pm
‘Mouse- you should really take a look at the work of Kevin Phillips. He’s a political commentator.
Figures Noel would call in about this. I’m sure he’ll also drop by and leave a comment to further drive home his point, as that’s the only time he comments here anymore.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:21 pm
No peace in the Middle East bc too many people take their holy book literally.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:22 pm
This man speaks the truth about the Zionist plot, Alan seeks to appear to refute him to perpetuate the hoax and make you doubt! You are a liar and a fraud Colmes and we hear the agreement in your voice as you cover for the Zionists. Afro-Leninist Obama chose to speak in the land of socialist repression where those who point out the Zionist agenda are jailed, its all becoming very evident and only the foolish slaves continue to walk into the chamber of death. Neuberger is proving the exact point and all of you who think he is crazy are ignoring at your own peril what they seek to do to control the entire world. Colmes is an accomplice, denounce them all. Stop them in their tracks so we can have peace on earth.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:22 pm
I’m not going to defend fundamentalism of any stripe. But it is worked into Islam and Christianity that there will be a great battle between good and evil. And each side thinks the other side is the evil one.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:23 pm
Warren Jeffs was told by God that his were the chosen people. Yearning for Zion. All others are pretenders.
Plural underage brides for EVERYBODY!!!!
July 24th, 2008 at 11:23 pm
It is through the nation of Israel, that God reveals himself to the world. For a time God had favored Israel, contingent on their adherence to the covenent with Moses (the Law)
Having failed to live up to those expectations, God placed upon Israel the penalties the Law called for.. which was exile from their land.
During this time, God focuses his plan of redemption onto the Non-Jewish people. God says he is doing this to make Israel jealous and also to show Israel that God is forgiving.. because look, God is forgiving the Gentiles.
Once God’s work with the Gentiles is accomplished, God said he would return the Jews from their Exile and bring about the fullfillment of his promises to the Jews but not before Satan through his agent the Antichrist, bring calamity to the world and God judges the nations that come against Israel. After God himself defeats Israel’s enemies, God will directly rule the world from israel, and all suriving nations will worship God by going to the land of the Jews.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:25 pm
Cheryl: The difference between Jew/Christian End Time beliefs and Muslims is this.
Mostly everything I said above starts with “God will .. ” in other words… the Jew/Christian is passive. He does not control the events. The events are pretty much out of control and overwhelimg them.
However, a Muslim faith is different. They believe THEY , the human Muslims, must fight in aggressive, offensive warfare. THey must go out and conquer lands and peoples.
So you see they have totally opposite views on should behavior be motivated by these beliefs.
The Muslim is under religious mandate to come under the leadership of soemone who will claim to be their eschatological leader and then go out and start slaughtering people.
CHristians and jews believe they themselves are the slaughtered.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
Okay, the religion of ISLAM did not exist during the time of the Old Testament but the Arab nations DID.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
Vince, you already know I’m not reading anything you write so I don’t even know why you took the time to type that.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
I’m an angry black woman and ignorant slut, therefore I am unable to read your comments.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:31 pm
yeah Islam was founded around 700 CE.
Before that Arabs were pagan.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:31 pm
Every religion has a battle between good and evil forces in their book.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:31 pm
Yeah, My book like that is Lord of the Rings, its alot better written and the bad guys were nasty orcs.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:33 pm
I wanted to ask that man about unfulfilled Old Testament prophecies that were supposed to happen in the time of the O.T., and why weren’t those fulfilled? Hmmmm???
July 24th, 2008 at 11:33 pm
LOL, Dave.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:33 pm
“Warren Jeffs was told by God that his were the chosen people. Yearning for Zion. All others are pretenders.

July 24th, 2008 at 11:40 pm
But we haven’t had one yet to make fun of.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Hannity says “I love America” and everyone who thinks like him is a “great American,” so much that it means nothing.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:42 pm
Kevin Phillips. American Theocracy: The Peril and Politics of Radical Religion, Oil, and Borrowed Money in the 21stCentury.
I’ve got it in my “pile of things to read” but I haven’t gotten down to it yet. Religion, oil and debt. The foundation of modern society.
The dangerous thing about the wackjob devout is that they can’t be happy keeping this stuff to themselves. They’re driven to proselytize. Some of that religious fervor is on display right here.
If Cheryl is going to be a radio regular, you need a nickname.
I had a dream last night. That Jewish bakers were trying to control us all through deceit and theft and forcing us to only consume unleavened bread. Thanks a lot, David Duke.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
I haven’t been able to get myself to listen to him.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
You should have just called her a great American Alan, it works for the Hanninites.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
I got tons of books that are waiting to be read, guess I’m a bit of a biblophile.
But lately I’ve been reading alot of stuff for classes, last semester I read 4 books on reformation, but pontificating (pardon the pun) about it here would just bore everyone.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
The best thing Roy said was that if we choose war, we will have it. If we choose peace, we will have it.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
But of all the shit I read, Martain Luther’s tresties were interesting. He was a venemous bigot, who called for the genocide of the serfs in German.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:54 pm
And he quit reforming after he got married, which shows that he had some repressed sexual frustration, due to the Church.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
Vince P,
In Daniel, his description you mention is of both Antiochus IV Epiphanes and the antichrist at the end of human history.
Rev 17:9-11 Here John is refering to Rome, the city famous for it’s seven hills. The city of Rome symbolized all evil in the world. Whatever view is taken of the seven hills and seven kings, this section of scripture indicates the climax of Satan’s struggle against God.
Rev 17:12 The ten horns represent kings of nations yet to rise. Some may very well exist at this time.
Rev 17:16 The prostitute mentioned to be destroyed by her allies could be the United States. It seems we may be the prostitute nation when you consider our trillions in debt to the world. She is refereded to again in Rev 17:18
Rev 17:18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth. The great prostitute represents the seductiveness of the government system that uses immoral means to gain its own pleasure, prosterity, and advantage in the world. Does this “great city” sound somewhat like our own? We’ve prostituted ourselves and aquired a world debt we cannot repay.
As for the antichrist, it remains unclear from which country he will rise out of. However, I have no doubt he will be Muslim as you mention. The counterfeit of Christ. He will unite the world under his leadership. Obama made that very statement today in Berlin. People will be awed by his powers and miracles. This again is happening with Obama. People are impressed by power and will follow those who dispay it confidently and forcefully or offer it to their followers. All of which Obama has done on a world stage today.
I believe he is a Muslim in disguise. Scipture isn’t specific as from which country he rises from, only that he will rule the world for a brief time among the middle eastern nations.
This is why I refer to Obama as the antichrist. He may not be, however I could not ignore the resmblence for reasons that I’ve mentioned. Tell me, does it really sound that absurd to you now my friend?
July 24th, 2008 at 11:57 pm
Still sounds absurd to me.
July 24th, 2008 at 11:59 pm
I could get out my book of Norse mythology and prove that Ragnarok is coming, and that would also be absurd.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:01 am
i’m back. i’m going to catch up on comments.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:02 am
Very absurd, Conservative
July 25th, 2008 at 12:02 am
I was just pontificating, and along comes the zelots..
Saying Obamas the antichrist.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:03 am
You mention Rome as the great enemy of God, but with Constantain proved that wrong by converting the Roman Empire, which gave us the Holy Roman Empire. Which spread Christianity by the sword, through much of the world.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:06 am
‘Mouse, I just started reading AMERICAN THEOCRACY. I commented on it here: http://liberalland.com/2008/07/22/rice-not-mccain-responsible-for-higher-oil-prices/#comments
I don’t care if the Jewish bakers control us, as long as they bake good bread. I love bread.
I call in to the show when someone or something pisses me off. I don’t know what would be a good nickname. I’ve asked you guys about it before. I was going to pretend that I lived in a dif city to get better alliteration, like “Cheryl in Syracuse”.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:06 am
At least with all this theorizing that Obama is the Anti-Christ, Alan is not being accused of it anymore.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:07 am
LOL good one Cheryl.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:08 am
Let’s talk about Liberal Land, then.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:08 am
Thanks, Dave.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:09 am
Well tonight is kinda slow.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:10 am
I’ll call in tomorrow and answer this guy. Why blacks should love this country.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:10 am
Call in now its slow.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:10 am
I mean, as in the website. I think that Alan should have a section on the new site that gives the basics of Liberalism in America. He does a great job discussing it in his book.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:11 am
I can’t call in, I already called in tonight. I think you can only do it once a night.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:11 am
LOL I know that saying, its in an old blues song.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:12 am
do you think they’d turn you down if you called again?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:12 am
If your white your alright, if your brown stick around, if your black get back.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:12 am
Damn if I knew where the case was I’d tell you how it was.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:13 am
Who recorded it that is.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:13 am
I’ve never tried to call twice, so I don’t know. But the guy said that he’s about to get off work so he can’t hear any responses tonight anyway.
For God’s sake, this guy is saying the Bible can’t be disproven. He lives in “uninformed” land.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:14 am
Cheryl, I don’t know why you are wanting a nickname?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:14 am
Its on album called defiance blues.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:14 am
No offense to those who hold the Bible to be the inerrant word of God. It’s not inerrant, which is why it should not be taken literally.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:15 am
What’s up with the LLC tonight?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:15 am
The question was respecfully directed at Vince P. Not you liberal lefties. I already know what your replies to any question of substance would be.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:15 am
The Conservative.. you’re right.. Daniel chapter 11, is a dual prophecy. Daniel describes the wars between Secuelid and Ptomely Kingdoms, culminating with Antiochus IV Epiphanes .. Daniel 11:5 – 35 are describing the past, and then verse 36 onwards is the future.
Regarding your Rev 17 viewpoint. I disagree. You’re adhereing to a culturally dominate viewpoint that most christians have but its’ wrong. For one, those aren’t hills the city is on.. it’s mountains. Mountains are empires.
Also, all of the prophecies have to reconicle with one another.
The place to start is in the Old Testament with the literal prophecies. All the literal prophecies speak of God judging various nations.. every single nation he calls by name in the Old Testament for destruction is Muslim today.
Westerners do not appreciate that the Bible is an Eastern book. Westernerns do not appreciate the significance of all the literal prophecies beign against Eastern Muslim nations.
You start with the literal.. and when you get to allogiries or metaphors, you use the literal as a guide to decode them.
Once you do that, you realize that Rome has no role to play at all.
In fact John in Revelation went out of his way to emphasis that Rome is not the future empire. Notice how he uses the strange phrase “is not” when describing the future beast.
He is saying “is not” because Rome is the “is”. Rome is the empire of his day. he’s saying his empire is NOT the one in the future.
Rev 17:8 The beast you saw was, and is not, but is about to come up from the abyss and then go to destruction
The inhabitants of the earth will be astounded when they see that the beast was, and is not, but is to come
17:10 five have fallen; one is, and the other has not yet come, but whenever he does come, he must remain for only a brief time
17:11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself an eighth king and yet is one of the seven
===
So John is saying again and again.. the 6th Empire, Rome, is not the 7th Empire and it is not the 8th.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:16 am
There are regular callers with cool names like- Southern Pride, Bob in Vegas, John the Trucker, Elmo. I don’t really want one, ‘Mouse just mentioned it above.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:16 am
I love substances!!! Like the kind you can drink and smoke!
July 25th, 2008 at 12:17 am
Do you guys even know who wrote the book of Revelation?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:17 am
Never mind. You two carry on in your happy little Revelation world.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:18 am
Big Bill Broonzy, Black Brown and White
July 25th, 2008 at 12:18 am
hey Pooh! I just saw your comment. I’m actually thinking about turning in. I’ve had a long day, and Vince and The Conservative are blowing me.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:19 am
Epiphany made a really good point the other day. Those on the far-right are not going to stop visiting the site and spewing their nastiness. I personally like to hear all points of view, but the way it’s presented by them (with the exception of Flap) is disgusting. There’s no interest in an actual discussion with them.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:21 am
what was with that brown black mocha color call earlier?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:22 am
LOL. “liberal good, conservative bad”.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:22 am
Cheryl…I Believe Alan named Bob & John with these. Started with “Steve the Trucker” (my favorite caller).
I enjoyed hearing your call. Wish Alan had given you more time…but guess he didn’t have it so close to the break.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:22 am
that was a black man, Dave in Manhattan i think, calling to invite Alan’s black listeners to explain to him how they could possibly love this country.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:22 am
I think other then writing disertations on why Obama is not the antichrist, has not been bigoted.
Of all the Christian ideas I think forgiveness is the most powerful.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:23 am
Globalists & Socialists…give me a break!
July 25th, 2008 at 12:24 am
Thanks, Mary. As we all know Alan moves really fast, and he was at the end of the segment with that guy and also going into a break.
I wasn’t calling to bash the guy, although I vehemently disagreed with what he was saying.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:24 am
um…well i’m a black guy and i happen to love this country because it’s the best place for me on the planet…the annoying racism we deal with now is nothing compared to what generations before had to go through…don’t like it, make a road trip to Sudan and see what hell is like
July 25th, 2008 at 12:25 am
I see Cheryl, thats why you should have called.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:25 am
you’ve missed his other posts, Dave. you know me well enough to know that i’m a very fair person. i wouldn’t have come to the conclusion that he’s a bigot without having taken a close look at his website, his comments, and after attempting peaceful and intelligent discussion with him.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:25 am
I’ve seen some really open racism in Europe and Mexico too, but I’m a white woman so I don’t think I can really say
July 25th, 2008 at 12:26 am
By the way.. with the decline of American wealth, the near future fall of Europe and the largest transfer of wealth in the history of mankind to Arabia, it’s very easy to see Arabia fitting the description of Babylon in Rev 17 and 18. Islam’s origin as a religion is from Babylon. that’s where the moon god came from before finding its way into mecca as Allah.
Islam’s holy texts were canonized in Baghdad. The Caliphate capital was Baghdad at one time… and then it was moved elsewhere and then eventually to the conquered capital of Rome.. Constantinople.
All throughtout the Old Testament there is a heavy emphasis on Turkey/Syria as being the specific location of the Antichrist’s rise to power.
Israel and Syria are the only land-mass that all 7 of the Empires of Revelation and Daniel all held in common.
The Gog Magog prophecy is also emphasising Turkey… and it also emphasis the current-day lands of Shiia Islam.
Here is the chapter, I’m putting the current day location in brackets:
Ezekiel 38:1 The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, turn toward Gog, of the land of Magog [central Turkey], the chief prince of Meshech [Central/Western Turkey] and Tubal [Central/Western Turkey] . Prophesy against him and say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal [Central/Western Turkey] .I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and bring you out with all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them fully armed, a great company with shields of different types, all of them armed with swords. Persia [Iran], Ethiopia [Sudan/Somalia], and Put [Libya] are with them, all of them with shields and helmets. They are joined by Gomer [Eastern Turkey, Kurdistan] with all its troops, and by Beth Togarmah [Caucuses] from the remote parts of the north with all its troops – many peoples are with you
July 25th, 2008 at 12:26 am
dave- i don’t understand? why should i have called?
pooh- i feel you, but i think that blacks and other minorities who live in urban areas have a very different perspective of America.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:26 am
I see.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:26 am
To tell him why you love this country.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:27 am
Sure you can, LV! We’re all welcome to comment on the race issue. In fact, we all NEED to comment on it. It’s imperative that we all grow to understand each other’s perspective.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:27 am
I come from the most poverty striken area of the country, I know what its like to be under the thumb.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:28 am
i have to agree with that, but we also as individuals (not as a race) have to assume more person responsibility…a guy i worked with for about six months was a new orleans resident…sent to the waco tx area and worked three jobs to make cash to get back on his feet…he didn’t believe that fema or the government was going to help him…extreme example but i hope you get what i’m saying
July 25th, 2008 at 12:28 am
I’ve also said before that just bc I know him to be a nasty little bigot, doesn’t mean that I think other people shouldn’t engage in discourse with him. I’ve previously asked him not to direct any comments towards me, which he continues to do bc he’s an unrelenting idiot. However, since you talk to him I’d appreciate if you tell him to stop typing those long ass posts. He has his own website, he can type the first paragraph and link to the rest.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:29 am
Vince write it on your website and link the rest.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:30 am
i feel you, pooh and dave. but poverty effects people differently. some people give up during adolescence, and live their whole lives with an apathetic attitude. others, like myself, decide that they want more and try to work themselves out of it.
i personally have 2 health issues that make it a really tough challenge. sometimes i care about improving my situation, other times i’m so bogged down about my health that i just say fuck it.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:31 am
Thanks, Dave. LOL
July 25th, 2008 at 12:32 am
I don’t understand the racist mind. As I’ve said before an asshole is an asshole, no matter what color their skin. Now at times I guess I have what I can call an elistist attitude towards ignorance and lack of education but that isn’t associated with race to me.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:32 am
My puter has been playing little tricks on me tonight..like a little while go it spontaneously shifted to Crooks & Liars while I was typing to Cheryl. Weird, huh?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:33 am
i worked for an insurance company here for 5 years and they fired me in November. the reason i was fired was bullshit, so i got unemployment (you have to qualify for unemployment, you don’t just get it). that ran out last week. bc bush extended it by 13 weeks, i MAY be eligible for more money, but that’s only up to HALF of what my unemployment was.
to top it off, i haven’t been able to fully dedicate myself to find a new job bc of my health, and i don’t have health insurance anymore. it sucks.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:34 am
I have terrible health, I smoke, drink, have a terrible lifestyle, bar bands are the lowest form of life to alot of people.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:35 am
I feel you, LV. I’m like that myself. However, I try to remember that there’s a difference between someone who hasn’t had access to education, and someone who CHOOSES not to educate themself.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:35 am
I wasnt’ ignoring you Cheryl.. do you know how long it takes to write what I did?
Whether or not I take the Bible literal isn’t the question.. my question is … what does it say.
pretend it’s a book from aliens.. the text still says what it says. The only way to make sense of somethign is to read it at its face value and try not to use your own cultural bais in trying to give things you dont understand meaning. (i’m not saying you specifically)
Christians in the West viewed many of things written in the old testament through the lens of thier cultural bias. They never imagined that the Jews would literally return to Israel. That’s when the “spiritualizing” of prophecy started. It was because they couldn’t accept it at face value and had to come up wiht some other explanation.
I think that approach doesn’t work well. When i realized i was reading it all wrong and I started to read it again.. trying to be objective.. trying to pretend I have never read it before and try to get the fresh meaning.. a lot of thigns began to make sense.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:35 am
Very true Cheryl. I had shitty role models as parents. I pulled myself out of their way of life. I don’t abuse my children and don’t tolerate others doing it to their own. All my siblings are the same when it comes to that. Only 1 didn’t make it,,,he was killed in NYC in a barfight about 20 years ago as a heroin addict. It’s all personal responsibility.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:36 am
I WANT you to ignore me, Vince. For God’s sake.
Dave- tell Vince to LEAVE ME ALONE.
God, I feel like we’re in Middle School but whatever it takes to get it through his damned head. If he stays in his corner of the playground I’ll stay in mine.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:36 am
I’m sorry to hear that, LV. That reminds me of my parents. I have an aunt who died a couple of years ago who’d spent her life as an addict, but she was really getting her shit together towards the end. That made her passing harder.
My mom used to beat me so bad that when I was in the 6th grade the Social Services people got involved. But her parents were alcoholics and used to beat her, and so she thought it was “normal”.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:37 am
Good for you, LV. It’s not easy, is it?
Mary- what were you trying to tell me before you were hijacked to Crooks and Liars?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:38 am
Vince P,
I’ll would ask that you respect the wisdom and knowledge afforded me through the Holy Spirit as I do you. It’s not important as to whether we agree or disagree about minor details, even if they may be open for debate. I just wanted you to understand why I refer to Barack Obama as I do. I had no intention of getting into a verbal argument with you.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:38 am
If we start segregating here its gonna be nothing but bathrooms.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:39 am
Dave- why do you have such bad health? You’d better be careful! You’re not even 30 yet! Why do people there think that playing in bars is “lowlife”?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:39 am
Yeah, my ex was like that until I went to court and had the kids taken away from him for a while. I still remember the humiliation. A child should never feel that. My little sister got it so bad once that her friends parents called social services. Back then I guess it was different then because they never took her from the home.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:39 am
Dave- I don’t get that statement? Are you high again? LOL
July 25th, 2008 at 12:40 am
I hope Alan works out or something to deal with the stress these folks give him…
July 25th, 2008 at 12:41 am
Do sudden death to this caller!!!
July 25th, 2008 at 12:42 am
Hahaha he eats ice cream
July 25th, 2008 at 12:42 am
I didn’t get taken from my parents, either.
My son is 4 and can be out of control at times. I didn’t used to spank him bc of what I went through. However, I did come to the realization that there’s a dif between spanking and beating. So I spank his butt, but don’t beat him. You may not believe in spanking, but I do. Physical disipline is not the primary means of punishment, but depending on the situation it can be a good one.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:42 am
See, this is the mindset I just don’t understand.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:42 am
Epiphany said that he likes to run. I’ve never heard him say that, but she’s literally been listening to him for decades.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:43 am
yeah Im high.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:43 am
Cheryl, Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Hoping you will find an opportunity for some good changes. From reading your posts, you are a terric lady!
July 25th, 2008 at 12:43 am
TC: I wasn’t arguing with you. I was just giving my opinion and the reasons why I have it. You’re free to think as you like…
Now if i was Cherly, I’d be calling a racist bigot for disagreeing with me and generally conduct myself as if i was little 5 year old brat.. you know like asking someone a question and then complain they’re ignoring you, and then when they do answer, you pretend as if you’re actually being harassed?
Feminism + Infantilism.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:43 am
I believe in spanking and discussion. I had to swat them on the butt a few times hahahah. The ex though, hit my oldest with one of those real thick back support belts for weight lifters. Bruised her from knee to hip. That was the last straw for me.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:44 am
yeah…i’ve been listening to alan since about ‘92 or so when he had another show that followed rush in my market…the radio station called it “the liberal answer to limbaugh”
July 25th, 2008 at 12:44 am
The “be grateful for the slave ships” mindset? Yeah, that’s ridiculous.
Last Saturday I partied in downtown Fredericksburg. I live downtown, so me and my friends walked to the bar we were going to. They were white, I was black. I haven’t walked in the area we went through before. We walked by an Auction Block, which is now a historical site for our city. I was drunk, but the irony that I was walking to go party with my white friends, past a place where hundreds of slaves were sold, was not lost on me.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:45 am
Ooops! My dyslexia kicked in …meant to say “terrific lady!
July 25th, 2008 at 12:45 am
See, Vince? This is why you’re a fucking moron and the only people here that “like” you only feel that way bc they haven’t seen you show your true colors yet.
And you ARE a fucking bigot.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:46 am
that has got to be a hard reminder Cheryl.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:46 am
Thanks, Mary. You sweetheart, you! :-)
July 25th, 2008 at 12:47 am
Vince, knock it off.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:47 am
Berea College, which is in Berea, where Tony Snow was born. Was one of the first Abolitionist colleges in the south. Its 10 minutes from where I live now.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:47 am
Founded in the 1850s.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:48 am
LV- yeah, things like that really suck sometimes.
I totally understand what you’re saying about your ex. That’s NUTS. I don’t know why parents think it’s okay to bruise their children. My son gets spanked when he does something that could effect his life, like running into the street.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:48 am
That’s cool, Dave. See a lot of times blacks forget that whites were not ALL against them. They can lump whites into one category just like blacks can be lumped into one category.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:49 am
I really don’t care if you think I’m a bigot or not.. I can’t control your shallow mind and how it “thinks”
What I’m concerned about is the truth. Have I said anythign untrue. So far no. Not that anyone has pointed out .. other than to fall back into their indoctrination warfare training and unleash a barrage of “you’re a racist”. Since the objective isn’t to find the truth , but to destroy anyone you disagree with.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:49 am
LOL “Go ‘head, speak to the black people”. LOL
July 25th, 2008 at 12:49 am
My kids have seen me calm so much that their only memory of me losing it is once I threw a chair and a cooler into a wall. Learned my lesson though because I had to fix the damned wall after that.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:49 am
Feminism + Infantilism = GO FUCK YOURSELF
July 25th, 2008 at 12:50 am
shhhhh cheryl….we’re being spoken to…..shhhhhh!
July 25th, 2008 at 12:51 am
LOL, LV! that’s crazy! what did they do? lol i’ve had my mommy moments like that
July 25th, 2008 at 12:51 am
Hasn’t anybody noticed that almost everytime a politician goes on tv for an interview or speech the trend is to have at least 6 to 10 American flags in the background. Like maybe one is not sufficient?
I think the patriotism crap is gettin’ as deep as the religious fanaticism!
July 25th, 2008 at 12:51 am
Pooh- LOL LOL LOL LOL
July 25th, 2008 at 12:51 am
LV, you are so DEAD ON.
Here’s a tip for you guys. Bc liberals are not as popular as conservatives, you can get Alan’s book dirt cheap on Amazon, especially if it’s used.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:52 am
You know Cheryl, I don’t even remember. They were probably fighting. I’m so glad they’re almost grown. It’s easier now, just more worry.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:52 am
I recommend getting the book bc all of that is discussed there.
Alan, do you care if I quote a couple of paragraphs for the ladies tomorrow? Just a couple of paragraphs from the book.
That way you guys can enjoy a taste of it.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:53 am
You think he would let me sneak in a semi-colon?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:53 am
Mary, based on what you just said I know that you’d like the book.
I didn’t mean that I’m only quoting the book for the “ladies”, I just mean bc me LV and Mary are the ones discussing this right now. Dave is MIA, and Pooh is lurking, as usual.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:54 am
A long ass Thomas Jefferson sentance?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:54 am
I really want Alan to kind of summarize the religious fundamentalism and patriotic issues on his new website.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:55 am
I like his music choices tonight.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:57 am
You guys gonna be here tomorrow night? It’s Friday! Friday nights me and LV like to get our drink on.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:57 am
Alan has got to have some great self-esteem. At least I hope he does. Some of these people are brutal.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:57 am
Hahaha I’ll be here. I might crack open the orange stolis tomorrow.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:58 am
You know one of the things I like about Alan? I can hear it in his voice when he’s bothered by something racist or nasty that someone says when they call into Graffiti.
LV- he’s got thick skin.
July 25th, 2008 at 12:58 am
all right, girl! that’s how we like to celebrate our friday’s here! and pooh will have some ice cream

July 25th, 2008 at 1:02 am

July 25th, 2008 at 1:03 am
Tomorrow! TG&GN
July 25th, 2008 at 1:04 am
If anyone wants a good few reasons to reinvigorate your contempt for the Federal Government, check out this lecture by Dick Morris about his new book,
Fleeced: How Barack Obama, Media Mockery of Terrorist Threats, Liberals Who Want to Kill Talk Radio, the Do-Nothing Congress, Companies That Help Iran, and Washington Lobbyists for Foreign Governments Are Scamming Us…and What to Do About It
http://www.booktv.org/program.aspx?ProgramId=9631&SectionName=Politics&PlayMedia=No
His complaints are bipartisan.
Our govt is a disaster and not getting better.
July 25th, 2008 at 1:06 am
Dave,
You are a colon. Semi has nothing to do with it.
July 25th, 2008 at 1:11 am
Mary- the book is called RED, WHITE, & LIBERAL. Amazon is a reputable online store, so you can safely order from them. Here’s a link to the page:
http://www.amazon.com/Red-White-Liberal-Right-Wrong/dp/0060734337/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1216963939&sr=8-1
Let me know if you need any tips or help ordering.
July 25th, 2008 at 1:33 am
Colmes is a filthy Zionist pig.
July 25th, 2008 at 1:33 am
LV- what kind of diet are you doing? if it’s weight watchers, just budget it into your points. if it’s another diet, make your own sub at home using low fat wheat bread and low fat meats. pile on the veggies.

Hello~
Tonight’s show was interesting because it taps into a theme I see often where groups of intellectuals continue to prime us for the eventual middle east war that inevitably will consume the world.
Well, more or less as it goes…
So I find myself championing alternatives to the rhetoric that has taken hold of too many Americans.
“Most muslims have bad intent.”
“War is neccessary in the Middle East.”
“Republicans better understand the issues facing America today”
And I have to say it’s been immeasurably rewarding to look into these issues and many more while learning and changing as I mature alongside my beliefs and knowledge as they too diversify.
So I think everyone here can appreciate the complexity inherent in adult ideas, beliefs, and action.
But how frustrating it must be when we try to interject those complexities in a social forum!
How easily we allow our minds to dull and become ineffectual when faced with the adversity of our own historic influences and personal egos.
How easy it is to become a rampaging idiot the moment your passions are challenged.
Religion.
Politics.
Videogames. (ok that last one is subjective, but
some of you who know how
vicious these guys can be!)
I say this because tonight I asked Alan’s guest “What about peace?”
And he said “We’ll get what we want” essentially.
But that’s just the problem.
If it’s reasonable to say that our culture has become fixated on instant gratification, or preoccupation with self, then what the hell does “We’ll get what we want” mean?
I’m terrified by getting “what we want”.
If we get what “we want” I fear there will be little room for patience, little want for compromise, and small threshold for sacrifice.
I hope “what we want” is to realize “what we need”.
And what we all need is to learn to acknowledge and value each other’s arguments, seek a wider perspective, and attempt to see through the brilliant distortions, fantastic fabrications, and subversive fictions that bombard our minds every day.
After all, we’re playing for keeps here.
July 25th, 2008 at 1:39 am
Noel it all starts with people confusing their opinion as fact…and blah, blah, blah
July 25th, 2008 at 2:08 am
Well yeah, if you want to condense my whole post into a neat 15 word sentence.
But what the hell fun is that?
July 25th, 2008 at 2:11 am
:P
July 25th, 2008 at 2:11 am
Told you he’d comment tonight.
July 25th, 2008 at 2:14 am
Hey C.C.~
Sorry I don’t write much anymore. Who has time for all the arguing and fussing?
As much as I love insulting people and disagreeing with my best sensibilities, I can barely find the time to call Alan’s show.
(Which I do, while driving 80mph down 64 on my way back from work -not the easiest frame of mind to talk politics.)
But I do come in just to read you guys all the time. I gotta go now, thank god it’s friday…….
July 25th, 2008 at 2:17 am
Oh and before I crash, I hear you on the radio girrrl, good shit.
July 25th, 2008 at 2:21 am
I always know when you’re going to call in based on the subject, and you always post after you call.
I’m tired of the bickering, too. But unfortunately the really negative ones who come on here aren’t going anywhere. Epiphany disappears sometimes bc she gets sick of it. I usually just skip over the negative commenters, but they’re on my nerves, too. It’s great that people can get together and share differing opinions, but no one wants dicks in the mix ruining the fun. LOL
July 25th, 2008 at 2:35 am
Dicks in the mix..dicks in the mix?…wasn’t that MC Hammer’s last hit?
GOOD NIGHT.
July 25th, 2008 at 2:42 am
Cheryl is tired of bickering yet she can’t help herself but to bitch and complain in almost every comment.
July 25th, 2008 at 7:17 am
Some people claim that the Bible is proven or backed up by the existence of some historical events, which appear in the text. That is not evidence of anything if we actually think about it. I can write a novel or work of fiction that has real historical events within its fictional text. I can write a fiction book about World War Two but the only factual event would be the War. The characters, personal events, drama, plot; etc would be fictional even if the surrounding environment were World War Two Europe. Claiming that the Bible is justified, authentic, or the 100% accurate word of God because there is some actual historical aspects within it is not real evidence of anything. Many movies have correlations with actual historical events or locations but the story and characters are made up. Read a work of fiction and my point is made. Now there is a group of books that are entirely fictional, fantasy and science fiction. (Lord of the Rings or Star Wars series) The people claiming that the Bible is some how proven have not watched the X-Files. There is an FBI and unexplained events, There is an Area-51, but Scully and Mulder are not real, Ask your self a question; The movie JFK by Oliver Stone used some real history, would that mean that everything in the move then is fact of fiction?
July 25th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
You give me plenty to bitch and complain about. You leave a lot to be desired.
July 25th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
Frank Dogwood,
First, the bible has never been disproven. Second, it has more than one author. Third, if you say you can write than why aren’t you writing? Fourth, if you did write, you could never ever write anything as interesting as the bible. Have another hit of whatever and go back to your TV reruns.
