Lieberman Says Surge Was “Against The Enemies Who Attacked America On 9-11″
That’s what he said when he and Lindsey Graham announced a proposed Senate resolution praising the surge.
LIEBERMAN: That’s why Senator Graham and I are introducing a resolution recognizing the strategic success that the surge has achieved in a central front – the central front of the war on terror against the enemies who attacked America on 9/11/01, and expressing our thanks to our troops who’ve made that success possible.
Think Progress notes that sending our limited resources to Iraq prevented them being directed to the real front in the war on terror, and the place from which 9/11 was launched, Afghanistan.
Is this really the man who was Al Gore’s running mate?

It’s bad enough that he’s supporting the Republican candidate. But he throws oil on the fire when he misstates what happened on 9/11, pro-actively campaigns for McCain, and considers making a keynote address at the GOP convention. Why even pretend you’re a Democrat at this point?

This might be way out there, but I head Cheech and Chong are getting back together to do a movie, or go on tour, something like that. Well, I assume that they reconciled sometime ago, so I wonder if they might not have partied with Lieberman and McCain at some point, or at least if they and Chong did. Something’s in the smoke covered water those men are drinking.

“Why even pretend [Joe is] a Democrat at this point?”
Joe is a Likud conservative. Which is fine, but it’s time for a little truth in advertising.
Perhaps Joe will pull a Zell Miller with Chris Matthews at the Repuke convention …
“I wish we lived in the day where you could challenge a person to a duel.”

Lieberman is the perfect example of everything I’ve told you about. A Jew will always side with AIPAC over party, which is a lie because the Zionists control this nation, and Iraq is nothing more than another Jew war for the Zionist Occupational Government. You filthy Bolsheviks will sacrifice the blood of innocent Americans no matter what, its people like you Alan Colmes who put Lon Horiuchi and the evil ATF up to butchering Vicki Weaver and innocent children in Waco for speaking the truth, that the government is an evil power doing the bidding of its Wall Street overlords. Afro-Leninist Obama and AZTLAN lover McCain will butcher innocent American women and children and Muslim babies in Iran and Pakistan for the bidding of cowardly socialists like the demonic bastard Alan Colmes and the blood of the true America will be met with the response of that of the tyrants. You are nothing but pure unadulterated evil who hates this nation and God who gave us our freedom, this is why you will ultimately lose. Gott Mit Uns.

The Surge was a bipartisan effort to support our troops that began with Sen. McCain’s opposition, but it didn’t grow from it. Sen. McCain was whining like a Democrat in opposition to the Bush administration like the rest of us until President Bush reached out for help from across the isle. The Surge idea was sold as “The Hurricane.” Inside the eye of a hurricane, there is a calm the all can see. If America could expand the eye of the hurricane across Iraq, then peace could take hold. Our troops could come home when we reached the borders. President Bush took the concept and embedded our troops preparing for an endless occupation. McCain supported the occupation, not the removal and return of our troops. Under McCain, our troops could be in Iraq for over 100 years. We pushed for the Surge as Americans because our troops have no voice. We were trying to “Get her done!” That’s the only way our troops can ever come home. Don’t think they don’t want to come home after the victory. Endless war means “There is no victory only an endless fight until something stupid happens.” Obama has it right.

Lieberman has been confused since the Clinton impeachment. He backed Clinton and now he supports Bush. Clinton was impeached and Bush should be. What does that say for Joe?
