What Does It Say When A Sitting VP Doesn’t Attend The GOP Convention?
It says plenty. For one thing, it shows that McCain can’t get far enough away from this administraiton, even as he touts some of its policies. It certainly speaks to the popularity of Cheney. If they could find a way to not have Bush appear, I bet they’d do that, too.
The conservative American Spectator is reporting that sources in Cheney’s office say he will not attend the convention.
McCain and Cheney famously do not get along, and with McCain’s focus being almost exclusively on attracting independents and women to the polls, it’s not a surprise that engaging Cheney isn’t on the top of his list.
According to CNN, this is an effort to “turn the page on the Bush-Cheney years.” Of course, a much better way to turn the page on these years is to not vote for someone who will continue the war these people started, or their economic, environmental, health and energy policies.

That says it all. Let’s hope the page does turn. I’m awfully suspicious of the intentions of the GOP and this administration to do anything in their power to see another GOP led administration.

What it says is that Mr. Cheney views himself as superior to the political process, and therefore he will not waste his time with something so frivolous as a “convention” where “people” nominate a candidate for political office.

Darth Vader won’t be at the GOP convention? Maybe he’s meeting Larry Craig in the airport bathroom…

McCain does not want to be charged with associating with a known criminal! So he avoids phots with the President and Vice-President….three is a crowd for impeachment.

Mr. Cheney was converted to a cyborg several years ago.
It’s no accident that he never wanders far from home. He can only travel as far as his extension cord will reach.

McCain just can’t win with you socialist scumbags.
Except the truth is Cheney has more in common with his cousin than McCain, who voted for Cheney’s energy bill and agrees with the veep that the gas tax is a hoax. Truly great (criminal) minds think alike, huh?

And at last someone makes it apparent that when they say “socialist” what they really mean is “scumbag.”
Well at least it’s honest.

I saw a bumper sticker about an hour ago that said “IMPEACH BUSH-TORTURE CHENEY”. I can’t decide which phrase is more appealing to me.
He’s not going to the convention bc he doesn’t give a shit about the political process (unless it directly benefits him). The beef between him and McCain is totally secondary. (Furthermore, if going to the convention would financially benefit him, he would still go.) This man just doesn’t care.
This is just one more reason why Bush and Co. SHOULD be impeached. Psychologically and financially, our nation cannot handle another pair like this.

It tells me that Sen. McCain is still the presumptive nominee until the convention ends. Dick Cheney in the House would almost guarantee nothing bad would happen because his security would provide “Double Top Secret Protection.” With Cheney not going, he is free to watch the events unfold from an undisclosed secret location. If I were McCain, I’d have Dick Cheney tasting my food. I’d have a Bush ride everywhere I go. Joe Lieberman is the one I’d keep my eye on if he’s my VP selection. Can he be trusted? The man seems to have sold his soul for access to power. I pray nothing happens as the so called “October Surprise”, but anything is possible. We need to consider in advance why things this unusual happened. We can’t trust this administration. They spied domestically and broke the Constitution.

Lieberman is a Zionist!

Right on, Fury. Duke needs to be consistent with his anti-Zionist rants.
