Straight Talk Express Crashes. Literally.
Not only that, it did so while making a right turn. Earlier, when we said the Straight Talk Express was sinking, it was a figure of speech, but if this actual event isn’t a metaphor for John McCain’s candidacy, I don’t know what is.

It tried to make a right turn from the left lane. Now, it would be more metaphorically correct had it made a left turn from the center lane, but still. A minivan was destroyed in the process. See? Move to the right and hurt the litte people.

First of all the bus was not at fault.
second, your other ad portrays a bus that plunged into deep waters killing everyone on board. well not just any bus, the McCain bus. It was not a figure of speech, it was portrayed in a way that reminds people of friends and family who died in a bus accident. Its over the top and offensive.
What is it with you people and wanting to attack John McCain?
August 7th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
um, bradley, look at the photo. it’s clearly turning from a “left-turn only” lane.
What’s with you people and wanting to attack Barack Obama?

Lol Sky… 8)

“… the bus was not at fault …”
But officer, I didn’t hit the tree!!! The tree jumped out and hit ME!!!
August 7th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
Re;The photo of the sinking bus:
Why wouldn’t you just assume that the passengers all jumped off the sinking ship?
Why would you assume that ALL the people on board were killed?
August 7th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
I can’t take anymore silliness from McCain. I really can’t.
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
August 7th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
Re: sinking ship: no kidding.
Are you implying that followers of McCain are stupid, Bradley? Too dumb to jump off a sinking ship? Sheesh. The lengths people will go to to put down conservatives. I mean, really.
August 7th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
No one infers what you have from the bus sinking image what you have, Brad. Its purpose was to illustrate the description Alan, et al, was giving of the campaign. It’s wordplay, and Alan does not intend for McCain’s people to drown. We know that, and you do, too, I assume. Maybe you really are character, I don’t know.
August 7th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
The bus was definitely at fault. I understand that a bus that big has to make a wide turn to turn right, but the driver apparently didn’t bother to look if there was a car in the right lane in the way before making that turn.
August 7th, 2008 at 9:11 pm
Bradley~ you are taking the sinking bus too seriously, man. It’s a joke. You know? To make you laugh?
August 7th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
LOL. 87% of Fox News viewers are going to vote for McCain this November. Eighty-seven percent.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/news_you_watch_says_a_lot_about_how_you_ll_vote
You’re pathetic, Alan. You’re a kiss-ass that was hired to appeal to Republicans. And you know it.
August 7th, 2008 at 10:42 pm
“we assure you no buses were injured in this ad.” haaa haaa haaa funny story alan. i lol’d. thats what happens when you go from “left” to “right” you crash an burn.

I love this McCain commercial which consists of Democrats praising him:
DASCHLE: He can work with Democrats on key issues, whether it’s campaign finance reform or tobacco policy. He’s worked with us.
BIDEN: John McCain is a personal friend, a great friend, and I would be honored to run with or against John McCain.
KERRY: And I have enormous respect for him. He’s a courageous, patriotic American who stands up for what he believes.
DEAN: I admire Senator McCain greatly, and he’s one of the people we model our campaign on, because he is very direct, very blunt, and nobody has to guess at what he’s thinking.
FEINGOLD: I love John McCain, he’s a great guy.
OBAMA: Coming into Washington, I believed that the right approach begins with the proposal put forward by Senator Lieberman and Senator McCain.
HILLARY: I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience that he will bring to the White House and Senator Obama has a speech that he gave in 2002.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:46 am
That is quite funny, something similar happened to me I was on the right side and someone in the left turn lane pulled out onto me, thankfully my car wasn’t totaled, but I feel bad for the Minivan man/woman. In reality, the driver was just an un-attentive idiot that wasn’t paying attention, not really a good metaphor to use the straight talk express buss itself against neo-cons. Just a poor choice in driver; NOW THAT PART could be related to the NeoCons in DC. When you had Bush for 8 years choosing most of his cabinet members whom are blundering idiots one of which is showing some promise that being Mrs. Rice, cause you have to give her credit, shes put up with a great deal of BS from Bush (Although Bush sounds like a great person to drink with HAHA), But she really is Trying I will give her that, but She had big shoes to fill anyway with Powell leaving. Even as a Socialist with tendencies to look at both sides of any situation and make my own decision, Powell did a great job and the NeoCons were scared of him running for President, so Im willing to bet they paid him off to make sure he didnt.

WFG and OldLefty, a bus does not float and does not belong in the water. when a bus is found in the water its usually because of falling off of a bridge, the impact of the crash would be so massive as to knock the occupants unconscious where they would subsequently drown, as has happened for decades.
For some people it brings back the reality of such a tragedy, but the liberal left doesnt care about people or people who were killed or people who lost family or friends in a bus accident.
it would be like an image of a crashed jet liner and you liberals saying oh, why didnt they just jump out? dont they have any common sense?
a bus doesnt travel in the water, and it doesnt float for hours and slowly sink giving the occupants time to get out.
this is a major difference, those of us on the political right dont make a habit of portraying the other side’s candidate being murdered, killed, in a deadly accident or having to face real bullets.
The people of Irak who had to endure torture camps, the liberal left said who cares about them? leave them to their fate its not worth our effort to help them, so dont go to war.
For attacking the evil and terrorism in that region, fools like Bugliosi take sides with the terrorists and want the sitting US President to be put to death for murder. oh and make up some mock trial to prove him guilty.
And some of you liberals wonder why you get accused of being pro terrorist? or hating America? its because of your actions and words

Brad
“For some people it brings back the reality of such a tragedy, but the liberal left doesnt care about people or people who were killed or people who lost family or friends in a bus accident.”
in reality people have lost loved ones in Iraq and everyday they get reminded of it becasue of the likes of you wanting to continue it, but the conservative right doesnt care about people or people who were killed or people who lost family or friends in Iraq.

Angry believes something is true just because he swaps the words around.. but it’s obvious that military loathe what the Left is doing.

“87% of Fox News viewers are going to vote for McCain…”
Okay, so that’s twelve old guys and a waloby from Arizona voting for McCain.
Well, actually, I just talked to the waloby and he might be hopping over toward Nader.

I don’t know the Miami Herald from nothing, but the online version claims Miami police say the driver of the van was at fault and was cited.

McCain abandons free market economy:
“Republican John McCain called Thursday for a federal investigation into plans by the DHL shipping company that could cost 10,000 jobs here, as he and his campaign manager took criticism for helping DHL complete a merger in 2003 that led to its current plans.”

angry, you wrote: “in reality people have lost loved ones in Iraq and everyday they get reminded of it becasue of the likes of you wanting to continue it, but the conservative right doesnt care about people or people who were killed or people who lost family or friends in Iraq.”
You do not appear to understand this concept right now, the fact that some people believe in dying for their country, to die while in battle defending their country has a meaning the liberal left simply does not fathom;
The people who die in battle and people on the conservative right like myself do care about people and justice, thats the reason we energetically want to stand up for what is right, to STOP the murderers who invade and kill the innocent.
You on the left keep saying its murder of soldiers? Or you spit on the troops saying they only attacked a soverign nation at peace, killing innocent Iraki people? wake up and get your facts straight.
What is it that I want to continue? putting a strategy to work that stops an evil force and gives freedom and justice to a nation.
Some of you liberals are just in an extreme fantasy world thinking the enemies are only upset because of some disagreement that you can settle by being their friend or giving them cash, or giving them land (Israel)
Since 2003 I gave you liberals too much credit thinking once you saw the facts on the ground you would support this war. The facts had no effect on the pro terrorist rhetoric, and if it was anti American and aired on al jazeera tv? you liberals would air it here and agree with it.
Some of you liberals say you want to get bin Laden? but the rest of terrorism is okay, just get the ring leader and everyone will be happy and at peace?
this totally deluded and unrealistic pov is proof that Hussein Obama is a threat to national security, and his refusal to visit the troops in Germany because he clearly hates the US military and plans that the US surrender to terrorists, and he must know how much wounded soldiers despise what (he)Hussein Obama represents they might have shouted obsenities and tried to spit on him. So Hussein the phoney simply made up some lame excuse that is indefensible.
it wouldnt suprise me if Hussein Obama conducts some secret American flag burning ceremony
August 8th, 2008 at 3:02 am
Think of all the lessons learned by McCain from the Democratic failures? When a plane crashes and burns, Democrats lose races. McCain’s wife flies him where he needs to be. McCain was never in any trouble taking his bus against an SUV. McCain is a smart old man who learned it’s never better to hurry anywhere on the campaign trail. The small crowds waiting for him will still get a discount at Denny’s or Sambos.

“”“87% of Fox News viewers are going to vote for McCain…””"
Wow, that surprises me. I thought Fox “News” was fair AND balanced?!
Please don’t tell me that readers of its sister paper, the National Enquirer, are also leaning right?
August 8th, 2008 at 5:18 am
It’s amazing to me how you lunatics pay so much attention to the motto of a cable channel.
August 8th, 2008 at 6:18 am
Brad, you can make all the pronouncements of moral superiority you want, and calling me a liberal is a compliment, especially since I don’t think myself deserving of such an honor, but I do wonder if you might just over think some things; I’ve been accused of that. Maybe your trying to analyze, or pay heed to, all of the causes for why a bus is in the water in the context of the image Alan used, is more than is necessary; is unhealthy. Besides, not all comedy is without some degree of offensiveness. Should we all run from that potential?
August 8th, 2008 at 8:54 am
“…some people believe in dying for their country…”
I wonder what George S. Patton Jr. would say.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.”
“Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory.”
“If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn’t thinking.”
A failure of leadership, a failure of imagination, and a failure of strategic thinking–that summarizes the Bush contribution to the past eight years.

Keep telling yourself that, Vinnie. You may start to believe it yourself.

Beck is playing Obama speeches with laugh track behind them.. it’s hysterical because it sounds like he’s doing a comedy routine.
Poor Barry. That brittle self-serious man cannot take a joke.. and cannot stand being dismissed.
This is his weakness and I think you’ll see a lot of mocking of him.
August 8th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
I think Patton also said something about it not being your job to die for your country, but instead to make the other poor b*****d die for his.
August 8th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Bradley, you spelled “Iraq” like a Mexican or any other Spanish-speaking person would spell it. You spell it “Irak” with a K.

“You do not appear to understand this concept right now, the fact that some people believe in dying for their country, to die while in battle defending their country has a meaning the liberal left simply does not fathom;”
excuse me? EXCUSE ME!? i was there ass! i was supposed to be there for 6 months but ended up there for 16 months. how dare you! how dare you question my knowledge on this concept. go sign up jerk. bye. see ya later. go support. let me ask you. do you know what burning flesh smells like? i do. i smell it over a bowl of cereal. i smell it after a kiss from my wife. why? why do i have to live the rest of my life like this? because of pigs like you who say
“people on the conservative right like myself do care about people and justice, thats the reason we energetically want to stand up for what is right, to STOP the murderers who invade and kill the innocent.”
we are doing that now. oh ya i see….collateral damage right? have you ever seen bits an pieces of children rip along a dirt road next to rusty pots an pans? i wake up 5 times a week with nightmares of those children in my head. my kids end up being those kids in my nightmares. i have nightmares of my kids being dead. so i dont sleep. WAKE UP BRAD! enjoy your sweet normal life you jerk. you sir care about a war NOT about the troops. i bet your little yellow sticker makes you sleep well at night?
“Or you spit on the troops saying they only attacked a soverign nation at peace, killing innocent Iraki people? wake up and get your facts straight.”
wow thats amazing. the troops are not at fault my brother. it is the leaderships fault. i blame the man who USED to be my boss. i have my facts straight, do you?
Vince’
“Angry believes something is true just because he swaps the words around.. but it’s obvious that military loathe what the Left is doing.”
you are the same way. how you are soooo wrong on the latter…….so wrong.
August 9th, 2008 at 2:33 am
Brad, you can make all the pronouncements of moral superiority you want, and calling me a liberal is a compliment
WFG, I put the phrase ‘liberal’ out there for whomever wants the title; the moral issue? this one is a big deal that separates left and right more than most anything else.
So you dont have a problem with the image of McCains bus falling into very deep waters? if the image was perhaps the bus backing into a lake? that would have been different. but the Ted Kennedy style of a land vehicle in the deep waters suggests something else.
Well I said my reasons about why the image is offensive;
as for morality? those on the left believe there is no single moral truth and its certainly not the Christian bible! the only morality comes from intellectual atheists who have collectively figured out what is best for humanity, so that is the center of the universe. Those of us on the political right tend to say the Christian bible is the ONLY source of morality. so a person can be informed of moral things by studying the bible;
the left says the Christian faith in fact any religion is just ceremonial or fluff, it may be okay to be religious but dont take it seriously, anyone who really believes the bible, according to the majority of those on the left? is insane and is a threat to society.
so is that your opinion? do you agree with this observation? wsy?
