Dear Mr Colmes,
I feel that you are not hard hitting enough on the ultra right / conservative guests you have on your show. Are you paid to make a weaker case for the left and therefore make it look like Hannity is the intelligent, reasonable guy of you two? If so, you are doing a heck of a job. Case in point, that interview with the so-called “Dr” Corsi.
He was on on Larry King Live and he was almost in tears because they were tearing him to pieces and showing him off as the LIAR he is. You could even see it on his face that he knew his book was all a pack of lies.
In your interview with him, you were just heckling him and that was only going to draw sympathy and support for him. Hannity, on the other hand, was helping make a case for his lies and doing so in a calm, approachable manner.
You need to step it up and maybe the hate mail against you will be really justified for showing Hannity out to be the condescending, patronising ***hole he is.

Quite frankly I have grown tired of Alan, but only because I don’t think he stands up enough for progressive causes. I spent two years clocking the show and Alan is bascially a guest on his own show. /shrug
But I have to admit I was impressed with his approach regarding McCain’s infidelity. I have seen sean at a loss many times outside of his show where he cannot control the strings, but rarely on his own show.

I read through these comments and have begun to wonder if you (Alan) are posting only the ones from those who write stupid things, in a effort to distort the perception of the Right. Most of these comments are made by idiots and do not represent the large marjority of conservatives. I sometimes listen to your radio show on the internet, and have seen you on H&C (don’t subscribe to cable so this is infrequent). I disagree with many of your views but respect and listen to your opinions for perspective. Why does everybody have to spread hate? BTW, the Left spreads plenty of it around too.

I disagree about hateful but I actually mean, that many on my side think the right hates America, is unpatriotic and are elitists, who hate the troops.
And those that don’t fit into that stereotype are toothless inbred racist rednecks that joined the military so they could kill people legally.

I long for the days when parents parented and didn’t rely on car/potable DVD players to occupy their kids.

These haters are small town, uneducated people who cling to their guns, bibles, confederate flags, and welfare checks. They are not the brightest lamp in the room.
These so-called conservative christians are nothing but pew warmers. They act holy on Sunday and head for the nightclubs during the weekend. They preach against adultery, yet cheat on their spouses. They advocate pro-life, but when their daughter is in trouble, they pay for her abortion to spare the family from embarrassment. They curse like a drunken sailor and will nickel and dime you if they can. They steal the church’s money and if you are lucky, you can spot them at the nearest casino. They will talk about you behind your back or worse, stab you in the back. They have to work two jobs, just to bail their son out of jail-again.
These so-called conservative christians cannot deny these comments, because they’ve seen this first hand.

Fyjimojo, the letters Colmes posted sure do accurately portray the Neocon views of my own immediate and extended family, including my fundamentalist in-laws (who enjoy peppering their conversations with analyses on “kikes” and “niggers”), 95% of whom are college-educated and well-to-do. And pious as the dickens.
I notice another last-resort argument (often used as a first-resort, come to think of it) by Conservatives is the, “Yeah, well Liberals are just as bad and often worse!” tactic.
The argument usually follows when Conservatives strike first blood, but when Liberals strike back, Conservatives whine, “Well you suck eggs more! How dare you accuse US of what we’re accusing YOU!”
Sad. Pathetic. Useless.
