Alan truth is with out you being on Hannity’s & Colmes show there would not be a show. . . because if was just Sean bashing Liberals all the time fair minded people would just go over to msnbc and watch Countdown with Kieth Olberman who actually makes sence when he attacks the Right for being egg heads. Keep up the good work and go after more republicans when they come on the show as the hard question that o’riley and Hannity ask to ever democrate. By the way Sean’s a dipshit who doesn’t know jack about young voters!!!

The letter about redistibution of tax dollars,has all ready being done by this PRESIDENT,AND CONGRESS.The Homeowners are being bailed out,with tax dollars.Pres.Bush even said it was socialist,he did not want to do it,he had to.Millions will still lose their homes.No Offense to these families but I would not call the upper middle class LAZY,GETTO BUMS.

12. Day in the Life of Joe Middle-Class Republican
    By John Gray Cincinnati, Ohio

    Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised.

    All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

    Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

    Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some liberal didn’t think he should loose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

    Its noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression.

    Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his life-time.

    Joe is home from work, he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dads; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn’t have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republican’s would still be sitting in the dark)

    He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home.
    He turns on a radio talk show, the host’s keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. (He doesn’t tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day) Joe agrees, “We don’t need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I’m a self made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have”.

13. Wow Old Lefty. I wish I lived in Joe’s liberal world cause the liberal world we live in now in 2008 is nothing like that. This liberal world says let’s support all those illegals with your tax dollars, oh and the welfare mom with 17 kids too! I know she’s a crack head, but only the last 15 of her kids are. And that’s ok if you can’t get medical attention because the hospitals are going bankrupt. Oh and this unjustified war we are fighting (ya know after our government attacked and killed over 3,000 of it’s own citizens with fake planes) with hardly any troops because that was the only way a liberal could balance the budget. And don’t expect to see your old parents because you can’t afford the gas to put in that car. And when the mortgage comes due with Fannie and Freddy, that’s ok because your tax dollars will bail out the banks and the homeowners who got the no-doc loans because everyone should have a house, whether you can afford it or not.

    I’d go on but I don’t feel like it,,,at least this world isn’t so liberal that I’ve lost my freedom of speech. Yet

    So live on in your CONSERVATIVE world while the rest of us live in reality.

    I only say that because conservatives REALLY seem to be so suprised to learn that liberals feel pretty much the same about them:

    We haven’t lived in a ‘Liberal’ world since the 80s.
    As for those illegals :
    There are fors AND agins on BOTH sides…..Liberals who want stronger labor union (with proof of citizenship), who think we should put pressure on Mexico to be more like America, AND corporate conservatives who want cheap labor, and who would like AMerica to be more like Mexico.
    I am All for unions and going after employers, but there IS the one nagging question… Are you willing to pay more for American labor?

    As for “welfare Queens”
    Only 8% of the budget goes to welfare and only one third are on for more than three years. Of those many are handicapped or cannot work due to family illness . Only a small portion are cheaters, but why do you have no problem with the CORPORATE WELFARE QUEENS? Bush dishes out Billions in no bid contracts at cost plus, with NO accountability, and much of the work nerver gets done. They cost us much more.

    And we DIDN”T go to war with the people who attacked us on 9/11.

    And Fannie and Freddy: It was Laissez-faire deregulation that allowed them to run the business into the ground, now you want to punish the little people who relied on these “experts” to tell them whether or not they could afford a mortgage.

    And if we had listened to Jimmy Carter back in the 70s, we could have avoided this energy crisis…unless you don’t believe in good old American ingenuity.

17. I like the way you say “you” to me. My power is in the ballot box. Carter was a frigging idiot who told us to wear sweaters. He made himself look like a worse fool than he was in the position. He may have had good intentions and is probably a very nice man…but again, someone who shouldn’t have had that job.

    And I don’t know what publication you get your welfare queens stats from, but the majority of them do not go to work because they could not earn enough to pay for the child care for their 17 children with 14 different daddies. So the 4 oldest go out and gang bang to bring mommy money.

    I do not agree with Bush, did not ever vote for him and think his administration is a bunch of idiotic crooks. But the same could be said of Clinton in his 2nd term.

    We do not live in a world where Obama and his lets help other countries while we fall apart even more will work. We are at war and the other world super power is flexing his muscles. I’d rather go with the old white haired dude who is more liberal than most conservatives would like. But not as liberal as the baby killer Obama. I’m pro choice and I can’t believe what he approved through his vote!

    It’s not a democrat, liberal, republican, conservative issue. It’s all about power, which in case you haven’t noticed, we the people don’t have.

    You can make fun of his sweaters, but he called for more and more use of alternative energy while moving more and more away from oil.
    It wasn’t until the mid twentieth century that conspicuous consumption was seen as a good thing.
    That USED to be a conservative value.

    The welfare reform of the Clinton era:
    Reflecting the new federal mission, welfare rules now:
    Require most recipients to work within two years of receiving assistance,
    Limit most assistance to five years total, and
    Let states establish “family caps” to deny additional benefits to mothers for children born while the mothers are already on public assistance.

    While two thirds of welfare recipients are either on assistance only for a short time, or on-and-off, the remaining third have proven impervious to prior attempts to find them lasting work. For some, the problems are concrete and potentially addressable: lack of child care or transportation. For others, notably those who have never held a job, the problems are harder to tackle: poor health or lack of skills, desire or confidence.

    Again, it amazes me that conservatives are SO angry about welfare queen cheats who are poor, yet SO accepting of welfare queen cheats who are millionaires.

    This “born alive” bill is another phoney stunt designed to pander to the right wing base.
    It is ALREADY illegal to kill a baby, (or any patient for that matter),once it is born.

    The Illinois version of the bill that Obama opposed was also bundled with other proposals that would have put doctors at risk of prosecution, which led the Illinois State Medical Society to oppose the measure along with Obama.

    Illinois State Representative Rosemary Mulligan, a Republican who is supporting John McCain for president, but also worked with Obama back in 2001, described the first Illinois version of the Born Alive legislation as “a very onerous bill,” adding that “I think that the hardcore, hard right conservative Catholics overreach on this one.”

    It’s like the so called ban on “partial birth abortion”, when they won’t remove the clause about saving the life of the mother, when they know that’s the only time it is ever done.
    But it’s sure a good fundraiser!

    Welfare, like unemployment, should be time restricted. I thought Clinton came up with some very good bills.

    Big business tax breaks should also have time limits. Once they have CREATED jobs and have gotten the business on their feet, then the tax breaks need to stop.

    Tell me, aside from more government oversight, what jobs the poor welfare queens have created?

    They don’t create any more jobs than the corporate welfare queens send overseas.

    The difference is, the poor welfare queens are still poor while on the government dime, while the corporate welfare queens are richer than God while on thegovernment dime AND have the power to write the legislation.

As I read the right wing rants on this blog, a quote from one of the rights favorite convicted felons comes to mind: “In a battle of wits, they’re totally unarmed.” I’ll let them guess who said that, but it wasn’t the traitor to the Constitution, Oliver North -while he was a convicted felon, his cowering behind “use immunity” allowed him to escape the orange jumpsuit he so richly deserved. Nor was it the convicted liar Scooter Libby.

    In any event, perhaps, you on the right should take a good hard look at the convicted felons, adulterers and draft dodgers you look up to. Newt? How many times has that “moral” man been married? Didn’t he have his first wife sign the property settlement from her hospital bed where she was suffering from terminal cancer? Or maybe John McCain who cheated on his first wife and married the heiress – now that’s real character for you, a real self made man. Rush Limbaugh, a drug addict who’s on his fourth wife who lived off the goverment dole for a period of time. Ah, yes the heros of the “moral” right. We won’t even mention those who ran away from service to their country, nah, maybe we will – Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O, Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, George W. Bush (hiding in the Guard and not showing up doesn’t count as service, sorry),and on and on and on. Chicken hawks all.

    But keep following their advice and voting against your own interests. Why look how well the country’s done in the last 8 years, we squandred a projected $5 trillion suprlus, we have an endless war against a country that didn’t attack us, we’ve allowed the Taliban to regain a foothold in Afganistan, we’re in recession, forecolsures are at an all time high, oil prices are through the roof, we’ve lost the moral high ground in world affairs, the dollar is like a third world currency and the Constitution has been destroied. But all is well, cause your right wing handlers tell you it is.

    Alan, keep up the good fight, don’t let these grade school drop-outs get you down.
