Boy, Does The AP Hate Lieberman

August 19th, 2008, 6:08 PM EDT

Or maybe it’s just a typo.

[McCain's] top contenders [for VP] are said to include Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. Less traditional choices mentioned include former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, an abortion-rights supporter, and Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Democratic vice presidential prick in 2000 who now is an independent.

  1. Tom Ridge would be a good choice. He’s the guy that suggested to our enemies that they might try attacking us through the food supply.

    Good job, Brownie.

  2. I hate to be so petty, but Lieberman sounds like Marvin the Martian from the old Bugs Bunny cartoons.

  3. I wish I sounded that good, OL.

  9. At least Joe is consistent. Doubt that the real conservatives would flock to support him or Ridge for that matter. They sure wouldn’t want a woman with a choice!

  10. Joe the Joweled One…

  11. This statement says it all:

“Sen. Lieberman, the Democratic vice presidential PRICK in 2000 who now is an independent.”

  12. Oh, I read past that. Thanks, TDRO.

Odd, but I consider being called a prick a compliment, mostly because it sounds nice.

  13. I think McCain’s best choice would be Gov. Mitt Romney he is a safe choice and brings a lot to the table.I think Hannity and Rove are right Sen. Joe Lieberman could be his secretary of state if he wins.

  14. I say he should go with Pawlenty.

  15. Great beautiful site Alan!!!! <:-)

Has Lieberman ever known what planet he’s on?

  17. I pick Liebermann for McCain’s VP. They go together like gasoline and fire.

  18. “They go together like gasoline and fire.”

That’s funny, gasoline and fire = black smog

    TDRO,
Except for the war, what do you disagree with liebermann about.

  20. I might vote for McCain if Lieberman’s chosen (technically, I suppose, he’s already a Chosen Person, being Jewish. Then again, he might have to go through the Ann Coulter “perfection” process to actually be accepted by the Neocon Party).

If pretty-boy Mormon Romney’s the p(r)ick, I’ll definitely go for Obama, bringing my faithful-Republican husband with me.

  21. I can hear the discussion at old-time general stores throughout the south. “So which is it Billy Bob, the black or the Jew?” This must be a really hard year in some quarters. Like getting smacked in the face by the future.

  22. “Except for the war, what do you disagree with liebermann about”

I just said I think Liebermann should be McCain’s choice. It could be a compliment, you know.

Are you assuming a McCain/Liebermann ticket would be a bad thing?

  23. With Liberman on the ticket with McSame, the racists won’t know who to vote against.
The KKK and the Skinheads would realy have fits.
Vote against the black guy or the Jewish guy; what a pickle!

  24. Well since he has gone against the Dem party line and the MSM is acting as Press Secretary for the Dems it’s not surprising they’d call Joe a prick.

  25. “Sen. Lieberman, the Democratic vice presidential PRICK in 2000 who now is an independent.”

I just can’t believe the liberal biased media has no shame about being so obviously biased.
