Let’s look at the “Abortion Cycle?” If all babies begin with the blessings of God, then they all start out at God’s side. In the time it takes to develop, the baby is watched and loved by God. Birth takes that baby away from God and places responsibility on a Mother who may or may not love the baby. I read a few of these comments, and it told me all I need to know. No wonder you made light of it with the title “Love Is In The Air.”
I’ve been listening to your show since May. And I subscribe to the podcast. Very informative. And enjoyable. The freaks who call in—and a number of them posting here—enhance the entertainment. Even at the expense of whatever pain you may experience from them. (It is clear to me you’re tough, Alan, and I applaud you for that.)
I am a Swing Voter who—in Election 2008—will not give his vote to the Republican Party. The Democratic Party will get my vote. Yes, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) will get my vote over Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona). Their differences in perceptions and policies over economy and the Iraq War—as well as healthcare—has determined my decision.
In 2000, I voted for McCain to win the GOP nomination in my state’s [open] primary. I was disappointed he didn’t emerge as the Republicans’ nominee. But in 2008, he is even a “sellout,” having so clearly “appeased” his consituency by securing the support of his party’s conservative base. McCain is not conservative in the ways the Conservative Republicans want; but he is the party’s nominee and they automatically support.
For Sen. Obama and the drama over his winning the Democrats’ nomination over Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-New York): Much of it is coming across as suspect. I tune in and see what is possibly manufactured sub-drama. I don’t believe the Clintons are anti-Obama. (Oh, it’s no love-affair between them.) What the Clintons do not want—should Obama lose—is for Hillary to be considered the catalyst if McCain wins. So the sheer stupidity of the attention-craving, pro-Hillary/anti-Obama/now-pro-McCain sector may be all for nothing. Yes, Obama will lose a considerable percentage, in November, of those so clearly fixated on Hillary (you know—the ones who don’t give a damn about the fact that Hillary’s and Obama’s policies and goals are similar). A considerable percentage will come down to earth and realize they can’t vote for McCain (due to his policies). Just like the 2000 anti-George W. Bush Republican voters did when they were disappointed McCain hadn’t emerged with nomination.

my belief in my interpretation? this is the process of understanding what the bible says, applying a method of exegesis to understand the literal writing as it exists and to identify what is solid, foundational and absolute; then the hermeneutics which applies the written word in its time period and to the audience to whom it was originally written with the customs and traditions of the day when the Scripture passages were written.
So Im applying in a fair way the effort to understand Scripture.
If you or someone else does NOT apply that effort and simply reads bible passages or sentence fragments with no reference point except from not knowing much about the bible? then the meaning can be very foggy or impossible to lock down, anything could mean anything, in that case of applied ignorance and lack of effort? then any interpretation made is random to anyone else and I am unfair to hold my belief because others who read in ignorance and no effort come up with different meanings based on their unique life experiences and level of understanding of language or religion.
If God really tracks every last word everybody ever says and holds every one of us accountable for what words we say?? then if thats true, and I think it is, if I or anyone quotes a bible passage and applies some interpretation to it? the truth or lack of truth is something we will be held accountable for.
So anyone who is a Rev must be held to a higher standard by God if the Rev teaches falsely and leads people looking for Gods truth into sin? that Rev will be held accountable. Likewise it should be considered a blessing for someone to share the truth of Gods word in the fear of God and do so very carefully after having considered what is being said.
If I make a statement about a bible passage, its not me who wrote the passage 1000s of years ago, but I point to what is written. And I say to you that I have asked Christ to be my Savior, and I do consider myself to be a Christian.
This as opposed to some professors who may have read many texts and wail about bible passages but personally are not saved, nor do they claim to be Christian.

Almost every time Jesus speaks, he uses the figurative meaning which he admits, and explains to his deciples in John 16:25-31. Jesus in no way expects any christian to raise a hand against anyone who verbally slanders, persecutes, or threatens. This is what he meant by turning the other cheek. He expects us to always avoid a physical confrontation and I do. I trained for six years in the martial art of Ishynryu and my instructor, a christian himself, always taught us to avoid physical confrontation. To run if there’s a way out, because the best fight was no fight at all. The only injury sustained by anyone would be the injury of pride. However, if there was no way to avoid a confrontation he made sure to train his students to end it swiftly and decisively. Believe me, his training was rigorous, and brutal.
