Muslim As A Three Dollar Bill

August 27th, 2008, 2:47 PM EDT

The head of the Snohomish County, WA Republican party had to apologize Tuesday when they got caught selling three dollar bills mocking Obama in Arab headgear and featuring a camel, at their fair booth.  The lovely creation also has mock signatures of Al Sharpton as “New Spiritual Advisor”  and “Teddy” Kennedy “Chief Socialism Advisor”.    Party officals blame volunteers and claim this does not represent the views of the party, itself.

Besides, if you’re going to do a “three dollar bill” joke, doesn’t that connote something entirely different?

  5. WTF? Don’t these people understand, we’re supposed to LOVE muslims! That’s why we’re building factories, schools, roads and bridges over THERE, and building the Bridge to Nowhere over HERE!

If Republicans want to boast about all the “good” we’re doing over there for the Muslims, then it would be a total turn-on if Obama was Muslim (instead of Christian American), wouldn’t it?

  6. We’d love them to stay where they are, we don’t want them and their backwards religion here. If they like their sharia that much practice it there, don’t bring that sh!t here.

  7. “We’d love them to stay where they are, we don’t want them and their backwards religion here. If they like their sharia that much practice it there, don’t bring that sh!t here.”

AND PEOPLE ASK WHY THERE ARE WARS IN THIS WORLD?
ITS SIMPLE. IGNORANT OLD MEN START WARS, THE YOUNG AND INNOCENT GO OUT AND FIGHT THEIR WARS..

    incredible.

  8. More politics of fear.

  9. “We’d love them to stay where they are, we don’t want them and their backwards religion here. If they like their sharia that much practice it there, don’t bring that sh!t here.”

I’m not a fan of fundamentalist religion in any form, be it Christianity or Islam, so I’m inclined to agree with you. Unfortunately, as Old Lefty has pointed out, we seldom put into power anyone who’s truly interested in Democratic capitalism in their country, and meanwhile we’re making a society that hates us, even stronger.

I’m always amazed when Neocons say “If we fight them over THERE, then they’ll leave us alone over HERE!”

Like our American men and women are meat-decoys out there, sacrificial lambs to keep the enemies busy while we continue to import oil (to drive our cars and heat our 7 houses) from nations funding the people who are shooting at them.

  10. RC FROM SMITHTOWN,
Your “politics of fear” is a liberal political metaphor used against conservatives in conjunction with intolerance. To the contrary, it is fear of the opposition which leads to tolerance. This fear results in the tolerance liberals subsrcibe to with respect to our Muslim enemies. This liberal tolerance is nothing short of genuine stupidity, and highly dangerous.

  11. “Your “politics of fear”…”

It’s not a metaphor at all. It’s a deliberate psychological tactic used by the Republicans in an attempt to get elected. And apparently they’re aware that, according to the science of the day, warnings about horrible consequences carry more weight in the human psyche than promises of progress and benefits.

“…fear of the opposition which leads to tolerance.”

I’m far more concerned with what might happen to the world if Dark Vader and the Imperial Republicans get another term in the white house than with anything any radical muslims might do, if they can actually agree on what to do, and find the means to do it.

“…liberal tolerance is nothing short of genuine stupidity…”

Well, if you’re going to shoot everyone you don’t like then you better get yourself a whole bunch of bullets, and, oh, by the way, I can’t swear to it but I heard recently that the bullets our military uses are no longer made in the USA. Good job, Brownie.

  12. WOW!!

Republicans talking about the “politics of fear”??

George Orwell as a how-to manual!

“The ideal set up by the Party was something huge, terrible, and glittering—a world of steel and concrete, of monstrous machines and terrifying weapons—a nation of warriors and fanatics, marching forward in perfect unity, all thinking the same thoughts and shouting the same slogans, perpetually working, fighting, triumphing, persecuting—three hundred million people all with the same face.”

    George Orwell, 1984

  13. SARAH,
OldLefty promotes moronism. Along with Louie The Liberal, and RC From Smithtown. By the way, the three dollar bill is hysterical. An official stamp on the bill using a pair of dirty feet would have enhanced the effect.

  14. It sure would be easier if I could just call everyone I disagree with names, because THAT really strengthens your argument.

  15. In Washington State, of all places.

Gee, you sound just like the innocent liberal hypocrite that you are. Oh, the honesty is killing me.

  18. Oldlefty,
Your Orwell post could also apply to the opposition, or anyone else for that matter. However, you wouldn’t have given that a thought. You’re so easy I sometimes sit waiting for your next thought of brilliant stupidity.

  20. People know Hussein Obama took the oath to be a muslim, and Christians know Obama was involved in a false watered down church where the bible is not used for 20 years so he could stay a muslim to make islamic leaders happy and pretend to call himself a Christian to give the appearance of being loyal to the American flag.

Liberals say Bush lied when he never did, they say the Irak war was not legal or proper when it was and is; the left calls the sitting US president a liar, calling for his imprisonment and execution that are beyond the level of proof of treason, yet those liberals are not in prison. those are far more serious events.

The $3 bill is purile but the thing is, let Obama deny it!! let him deny, let Barack Hussein Obama deny that he is a muslim, and that he has taken the oath to be a muslim and that he rejects islam.

why is that important? because the islamic doctrine says that a person is to fight against the enemy (United States of America) whether by sword or by deception like the “American” soldier who tossed the grenade and murdered fellow soldiers at the start of the Irak war?

that guy didnt say he needed to back out and felt religious conflict and couldnt be part of the Irak invasion. he kept quiet and murdered US Service persons in cold blood to help terrorists.

we dont know how loyal Hussein Obama is to the USA or to islam. he lied to Bill OReilly but Michelle Obama said that he and she are people of their word?

so Obama is a liar and hides his muslim past and has belonged to a fake Christian church where there is no accountability, so we cannot know if he is a Christian or its all fake.

islam says you must lie convincingly to your enemy, (the United States). so Obama could be as evil as the traitor who tossed the grenade in 2003 who’se plan for change means taking down the American flag for a sickle and star

  21. It’s “Iraq”, not Irak.

  22. I remember news photos of Obama wrapping his arms around a Saudi prince and giving him a big wet kiss while strolling together through a meadow of Texas Bluebonnets.

Oh, I’m sorry. That was Mr. Bush.

    Never mind.

  23. Again, I regret reading anywhere near a full sentence from conservatives on here.

  24. From 1984:

“The Principles of Newspeak” is an academic essay appended to the novel. It describes the development of Newspeak, the Party’s minimalist artificial language meant to ideologically align thought and action with the principles of Ingsoc by making “all other modes of thought impossible”.

“We are at war with Eurasia. We have always been at war with Eurasia.”

    Some similarities:

    “Osama bin Ladin… Osama bin Ladin… Sadaam …Sadaam Hussein…..The problem is Iran…

In true INGSOC fashion, the administration has used Newspeak to spin a story broken by The New York Times about the domestic-spying program run by the NSA and approved by executive order soon AFTER 9/11 into a necessary program needed to weed out the deeply integrated terrorists living next door.

-Total Information Awareness Project creeped people out, so it became…. “Terrorist Information Awareness program”

    – MERCENARIES and SOLDIERS OF FORTUNE = Contractors

    – Clear Skies = Unregulated polluters

    – Healthy Forests Initiatives = lobbyists for the logging industry head up the Forestry department

    Food insecurity = Hunger

    Enhanced interrogation = Torture

  25. OldLety,
The New York Times, a left wing newspaper is proof of some sort of conspiracy? Has the thought of obtaining information from an unbiased source ever crossed your mind? Don’t you think by doing so, readers might give the trash you post a bit more credibility?…….. Don’t bother with the questions. I already know the answer.

  26. Bad taste.

  27. It’s “Iraq”, not Irak.

And … try to use a few caps … the shift key is your friend.

When so many refuse to use proper grammar you require me to use caps? fixing that kind of nonsense is what a word processor program is for.

with all the high technology in whatever year this is, it should be built in to the website.

Or you can pay me money for writing here and Ill use perfect whatever

  28. MUSLIM as a THREE DOLLAR BILL AND QUEER TOO!!!!!!

  29. The Conservative,

What are YOUR UNBIASED sources? Perhaps the Washington Times, Moonie’s paper?

    Do you quote ANY sources?

The NYT sure printed up EVERYTHING that Chalabi and Scooter told Judith Miller about Iraq.

The NYT, obtained THEIR NSA story from the NSA, and the Bush administration never denied it.

    By the way,
“Has the thought of obtaining information from an unbiased source ever crossed YOUR mind? Don’t YOU think by doing so, readers might give the trash YOU post a bit more credibility?”

  30. Suntan – there’s only one person on these blogs who I really wish ill upon. Someone the world would really be better off without. Someone who probably has a cupboard full of guns. Someone who should use one of them on himself this very evening.

John that was a very vile and offensive thing you wrote. you should make an effort to get such sociopathic thoughts out of your mind, then you should apologize for writing that.

  32. No chance Bradley. I can put up with your idiotic religious drivel and your complete blindness when it comes to the horrendous sins done in your name by the Bush/Rove/Cheney gang. You have an affliction and I feel terribly sorry for you.

Assuming he isn’t just a freak with a twisted sense of humour, Suntan, on the other hand, is a blight on the world. Suicide is the only answer.

NO WONDER WHY YOU NEOCONS CANT GET A SINGLE MINORITY TO VOTE REPUBLICAN.
THIS BILL JUST SHOWS HOW YOU ON THE RADICAL FAR RIGHT ARE ALL RACISTS HYPOCRITES.

  34. “And Behold A Pale Horse And He Who Rode On Him Was Death” That is what will befall those who fail to heed the warnings of Almighty God, and John you one such person. I don’t wear the rose colored glasses like you and your tie-dyed, sandal wearing, odorus crew. I wear amber color lenses so that I can distinguish between targets. Sure, I cling to my guns and faith, as they are the only things that are capable of protecting from niggers and spics (criminals)and leftist, flag burning, nation hating, tube steak sucking, weenies like yourself.

  35. Hey Alan! Nice site update! I’m impressed.
Anyway, like Louie said, this is why McCain has only a 5% approval rating with Blacks and only 35% with Whites.
    So much for party unity.

  36. Good grief… don’t be outraged. I have seen these political $3 bills around for several years. Matter of fact if you go to slick.com which claims to be: AMERICA’S PREMIERE POLITICAL LAMPOON
“Fully exercising our 1st Amendment rights since 1992″

You can buy these and ones about McCain and Hillary. It also states on their site that they were featured n NBC.

    Check it out.

Yet the polls are pretty much tied (within the margin of error). Go figure. It must say something about obama you don’t want to acknowledge.

If obama doesn’t distance himself from mcsame in the polls the next couple days it will be all over for obama. Obama is already the first candidate in recent history that failed to get a bounce from announcing their veep.

  40. How peculiar – Bradley and co clearly feel closer to the loathsome Suntan and his ilk than they do to reasonable people from the other side of the political fence. Sad.

Had a wee look at Greta’s site last night – hundreds of posts like the Fox blog sites had until they started ’selecting’ what they would allow leftists to say. Greta’s 40% rabid NoBamas, 15% fairly rational Republicans, 5% fairly rational Democrats, 40% people moaning about too much convention, not enough missing white child.

  48. Ha, ha this isn’t new in America as it’s a free country. Many Americans are fond of doing things without thinking of its negative views from the public arena. In fact the production of these controversial materials were made by the individual for publicity and as well as for financial gain. FYI, I still keep the 6 USDlr. Print “Sex Scandals” of a former US President as souvenirs, which I paid 5 bucks for it.
