Hey Allen, I understand that you desperately want to help Obama move into the White House, but you don’t have to resort to lies in doing so. You attributed a quote which was written by Mike Barnacle against Sarah Palin and you said he “Barnacle” was a conservative. He’s not! I have lost all respect for you; you didn’t have to resort to lying. Shame…Shame
[...] Palin has foreign policy experience, even more than Obama does, because Alaska is near Russia. Cindy McCain pushed this ridiculous argument. And Tyler Harber was on FNC having this laughable [...]
Broken any homes up lately, Cindy ? What a dumb skank.
OBAMA IS A GOOD SPEAKER. SO WHAT! SO WAS HITLER. WHAT HAS HE ACCOMPLISHED?

Alan,
I heard that you posted a comment about Sarah Palin that asked whether Sarah took good enough care of her unborn baby – the implication being that she was responsible for the disability of her baby.
Are you nuts! That is an evil thought and comment. If you are not careful (I mean liberals generally) you guys are going to say so many evil things that you will all be discredited and not listened to any more.
I personally think we need you speaking for unfettered freedom of speech and the rights of the accused – all of the Bill of Rights. We need you. Please don’t destroy yourselves for Obama’s elction. Be true and good instead.

Well that TEARS it! I’m definitely not voting for Cindy McCain!
And good on you, Alan, for practicing what you’ve preached Ad Nauseam to anyone who disagrees with you anywhere and keeping the politicians’ wives OUT of it!
Oh wait…never mind that last sentence. I LOVE the smell of hypocrisy in the evening.
And for all you brainiacs who don’t think dealing with a bordering country is NOT foreign policy experience? Uh yeah, handling politics along those borders just doesn’t mean a dang thing, does it? I weep for your wilful stupidity…or I would if it mattered.
Off-topic: this is the slowest blog I’ve ever experienced, and I’m not just referring to the site’s owner. While I can understand the time it takes to get from one screen to another is advantageous to some of the liberal commenters who need time to collect their marching orders, it’s problematic for those of us who self-cogitate.

The Sarah Palin comments seals the deal. You have exposed yourself as being more then a partisan hack. Now, the words delusional spiteful hypocrite accurately describe your “contributions” to any discussion.
If you had any degree of integrity or self respect, you would resign from your post on Hannity and Colmes, but like most liberals, you care only about your money and the politics of personal destruction are a joke.
Grow Up already, punk.

From the blog:
http://www.blackfive.net/main/2008/08/commanding-the.html
“Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It’s on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.
As governor of Alaska, Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden’s.
She’s also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security’s counterterrorism plans.
Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country’s defense. Given Alaska’s proximity to Russia, she may have security clearances we don’t even know about.”
Alan maybe it’s a possibility that if you did a little research and stop knee jerking every issue that came across the internet that someone migth actually take you seriously.
Is this website a joke for you? Do you just post things that you think will make Conservatives angry? I think that you do.

Alan,
I am not one that agrees with you very often but have always defended you for at least being fair. That has been in question for a while but the Palin story questioning her prenatal care of her down syndrome son really goes over the line.
For someone that finds know issue with late term abortion (murder) and infantcide as does your Democrat candidate I find your concern for Sarah Palins care for her son quite authentic and touching. I am sure if she aborted her son you would have had nothing but praise for her “courage”.
Why don’t you just call your blog DailyKOS 2? Pathetic. This is the kind of stuff that will make every woman in America vote McCain/Palin. I guess I should thank you, but the comments were so gross I can’t.
September 1st, 2008 at 12:50 am
Alan,
You just don’t know when to stop. There is not a chance that your remarks about the honorable Gov Palin and her doctor’s decision related to her “prenatal care” is going to go away. Thank you for your support of the McCain/Palin ticket. Your insulting remarks of liberal women(heck, just women in general) are just going to turn off so many women to “liberal beliefs”. As a fellow liberal journalist posted on Sunday “We(liberals)just need to shut up!”
Oh….did I hear Cindy McCain say “I never was proud of my country until….”?
I don’t think so Alan!
September 1st, 2008 at 12:56 am
Not as bad as you agreeing that Obama has foreign policy experience because he’s traveled to foreign countries in his youth. Oh yes I remember that one!
September 1st, 2008 at 1:10 am
What more do you expect from Cindy McCain; the most complex part of her day is juggling boob job appointments and botox injections.

Well, Juneau’s location is much, much closer to British Columbia, Canada than it is to Russia. I don’t imagine foreign policy plays much of a role in Alaska unless it’s in trade. Actually, we are talking about someone who wants to wipe out the polar bear population for a little bit of oil that won’t be shipped here, but to Japan.

Actually Palin is qualified because of time she spent in the PTA. LOL!
September 1st, 2008 at 2:06 am
Alan, I used to enjoy the balance you bring to H&C. But now your constant whining in utter desperation is beyond the pale:
1) I played the video twice; I did NOT hear Cindy say anything near “…experience BECAUSE Alaska….” I did hear her say, “So it’s not as if she doesn’t understand what’s at stake here.” Did you perhaps upload audio different from the video? Or are you just making things up–as usual? The more you make up stuff, the more I realize you’re scared.
2) I literally had to laugh Friday night when the best you could come up with was your whining about “wasn’t McCain being ‘reactive instead of proactive’?” … Say WHAT??? If that was your best shot right out of the box, we’re in excellent shape!
3) Since when can an ardent supporter of abortion concern him/herself with how/where a woman chooses to give birth? At least she didn’t do it in an abortion clinic; that’s your real problem, isn’t it? It’s OK to crush their little heads in utero, but not to get on a plane? Sick, sick, sick!!! (Ask Ted Koppel if he wishes they had aborted their Downs child. He’ll probably give you the look you deserve.)
4) As one whose water broke while I was shopping, I did not go to the hospital until much later; I went home, stayed a while, then drove myself to the hospital, and did not go into labor until 8 hours after water broke. And I probably would have done the same thing Palin did were I in her circumstances. It’s called sucking it up, Alan, and being where you want to be when your child is born–especially to be near those who knew the circumstances/history instead of among total strangers.
5) I’ll take Palin’s judgment any day over a man who takes two darling little daughters to hear an anti-American preacher spew hatred of the country they live in every Sunday of their young, impressionable lives. That’s not JUST poor judgment; it’s child abuse!
6) Even if McCain were–God forbid–to drop dead right after his inauguration and Palin became #1, I trust her ANY DAY more than I trust the Alinsky-acolyte, Marxist Obama.
McCain/Palin
2008
P.S. to “Danielle” re “the most complex part of her day is juggling boob job appointments and botox injections” You really ought to look up some actual information on her before you expose your utter ignorance even more.
September 1st, 2008 at 2:15 am
Alan’s a tool of the Daily Kos kooks. I doubt he even has any original thoughts anymore with the way he keeps spewing their talking points.
September 1st, 2008 at 3:29 am
This invites the question of whether blond jokes are sexist by definition.
September 1st, 2008 at 4:45 am
Alan.. the Alaskan Home guard has nothing to do with the governor, it is a federal matter and as such, they dont even consult her unless its to do with domestic emergencies. Cindy McCain is a total non start.. A total air headed android. As a true patriot, its your responsibility to challenge these bubble headed people and their stupid assertions. Judgement and Experience first so that’s Obama/Biden. The conservatives are trying to sell rotten fish heads as caviar.Keep up the good work or else we’ll have a 4 more years of foolishness.
September 1st, 2008 at 5:37 am
Suzanne..if you would trust palin with the top job.. then your just a bitter, stone faced, typical frustrated republican woman.. Thank god that half of the population is educated.. vote on policy’s, not personality’s.. if your a true patriot and wants the best for the country.. you would vote obama 08..

Buckaroo: Asking Alan to actually research something so that he could get a bit knoweldgable about it is beyond his paygrade. If it’s not the printout from Think Progress he’s not going to know.
September 1st, 2008 at 6:26 am
Buckaroo John –
Have you noticed that the nice visitors to this blog do not actually discuss the issues? They dropby to pontificate and display their ignorance and try to present themselves as “holier than thou” people. I would say these folks are head over heels in debt and they keep the talking heads and the other conservative pundits that say “if you work hard you can make it in America.” Well, working hard ain’t making it anymore in the USA. They do not think for themselves. They do not stop to think that it is fairly easy for numbnut behind a microphone who is pulling in millions each year to make those kind of insipid statements. It amazes me how many people are totally controlled by what Rush, Sean, Neal, Glenn, and the many other hypocrites talking, spill into the airwaves each day. T
September 1st, 2008 at 7:09 am
I hate to argue with these right wingers, because on the internet you don’t know who you are talking to…..
I DON’T want to get into a fight with a 12 year old.
Yesterday I asked:
Between ALL of those in McCain’s circle: the other candidates, congress people who agree with his policies, present and former administration people…..
Is he saying that over all of these long time colleagues…. THIS young woman with NO experience outside of Alaska, and no expressed interest in world affairs, is REALLY the SECOND MOST QUALIFIED person in ALL of the entire United states of America to be the president??
The responses are all basically, Alan is despicable, vile, ignorant human being, and liberals are poopyheads who want to kill babies.
It seems that EVERYTHING that conservatives accuse their opposition of is mostly true of them.
It IS true projection.
I don’t know who is worse, those know better, and still spread nonsense, or those who are just so easily manipulated.
September 1st, 2008 at 9:01 am
“it’s child abuse!”
LoL. It’s hilarious.
September 1st, 2008 at 9:05 am
Palin has so many more accomplishments than Obama. What has Obama ever accomplished? Making speaches, that’s all.
Has Obama ever stood up to peope in his own party? Has he ever actually run anything? He was Chairman of the Senate’s subcommittee on European Affairs, but he never held a single meeting. I guess he was too busy running for President.
September 1st, 2008 at 10:05 am
Kalamari,
Of course a vice presidential pick should be, in your mind the second most qualified person you can find.
That Obama is not qualified is YOUR opinion, and is NO more valid than MY opinion that McCain has shown that he lacks the judgment to be qualified.
You would Like to believe that it is based on touchy feelies, but that is EXACTLY what they say about YOUR side.
What does Edwards have to do with anything…..he wasn’t nominated and do you REALLY want to point to an affair when the only Republican who did NOT cheat was Romney? (and nit picking at WHEN the affair occurred is desperate and sad).
Of course he is going after the Hillary votes.
He met her only six months ago and spoke just once on the phone about the position before offering it in person earlier this week.
I doubt he gave it any more thought than, ‘what will take attention away from Obama’s speech’??, (which is a legitimate political stunt)
It seems to be an act of desperation.
As for the maverick fantasy, just because you repeat it over and over again, doesn’t make it true.
“McCain not a maverick.” That was the headline in May in the Arizona Republic, McCain’s hometown paper. “When it matters the most, he seldom bucks his own party.” Examining his Senate record, the Republic found that since 1999 McCain almost never strayed from the Republican Party line.
As for misogyny:
PLEASE!!
Between the hideous joke about Chelsea and Hillary, laughing at calling Hillary the Bitch, the guerilla joke…..
Spare me!
Anyway, Kucinich is more qualified to be president than McCain!

Alan, Just thought I’d let you know that you are truely an idiot! You belong on MSNBC with all those other goofs, that is if on the air at all.
When you were a Hillary supporter you weren’t that bad, but since you joined the Obama bandwagon/cult you are unacceptable. You don’t sound educated, you just come across as an extreme liberal Robot. You cut off and talk over every guest that comes on the show that does not share your views. It’s rude to your guests and the viewers. I want to change the channel when you have the air time. Most of your talking points make no sense and you come across as a school yard bully that didn’t get his way. If you don’t get your way you get upset and become ignorant. You gonna take your toys and go home? Grow up!
Obama’s past associations on every level are very important to this election and the Presidency. You are truely an idiot if you think the American people are that stupid not to evaluate these issues. Corruption and racial hatred tends to follow everyone he associates with. That is a strong message to the character that he truely is, not that political act that he puts on in the public eye. A speech is nothing more than a speech. His actions through out his life tells me his speechs are BS. I don’t care what any poll says. The people will speek in November!
I unfortunately missed it, but if what I’m reading is true about your comments about Palin and her child. The FOX news network needs to deal with you and you deserve to be pulled from the air.
September 1st, 2008 at 11:22 am

Ha ha. This cracks me up. Normally I don’t watch Cindy MaCain speak, she reminds me of Jabba the Hutts sidekick. You know the guy whose head bends around his neck, but this was just too good to miss.
Talk about desperation. Next thing you know they’ll be saying she has foreign policy experience because she lives next door to polar bears.
God damn talk about desperation!
I love the way you get republicans all hot and bothered Alan.
Keep up the good work.
September 1st, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Ah! Checked back this morning to see what ignoramuses would respond to my post–Buckaroo didn’t take long.
The thousands of college adults I’ve taught over the years think of me as happy rather than “bitter”; always smiling rather than “stone faced”; and far from “frustrated.” And my half of the population is educated enough to know the following:
The plural of “policy” is “policies”–not spelled with an apostrophe as in …y’s.
The plural of “personality” is “personalities”—not spelled with an apostrophe as in …y’s.
“Your” is a possessive pronoun as in “your car” or “your name”; the contracted form of “you are” is “you’re.”
Get some education; but then again—I notice that the most vociferous Obama supporters always exhibit in their posts that they are the most UNeducated.
People who would vote for Obama fall into one of two categories: 1) They are among our gimme-gimme-gimme populace, or 2) they are very wealthy liberals who wish to see the country become socialist so THEY can tell others how to live their lives—as long as THEY don’t have to live by the same rules/regulations they impose on the “little people.”
BTW—it IS child abuse—on the Lefty end of the spectrum opposite the “snake handler” sect—just different snakes.
Ta-Ta, folks; better things to do with my time, e.g., read intelligent policy articles rather than bile spewed from allegedly “tolerant” lefties. And I keep hoping Alan will learn that apples and cardboard boxes are NOT the same thing simply because they are both biodegradable—not much hope of that though.

Just imagine if McCain is elected and dies in office. We will have Sarah And Cindy in Office. What a country :)
I love you Alan. Do what you do as you see it fit, I love how you think and what you say and how you take all those hits for the other side. God bless America.
September 1st, 2008 at 3:52 pm
it was my first thought also, being in Alaska means being on high alert with the USSR (have they changed it back to calling themselves the USSR yet?)
but typical liberals, you would rather take the sides of any enemy of the USA
September 1st, 2008 at 7:46 pm
Why do all these haters bother to come on this site if they disagree with you so much?! I think I’ll start going to conservative websites and harassing them. And by the way Suzanne, I don’t fall into either one of the two categories for Obama supporters. Make a third category for people who are intelligent, thoughtful and patriotic….we actually care about what happens to country and everyone in it.

I didn’t mean Crumb, although having just checked him out I was amazed how much he looks like El Presidente, and how much Jabb the Hutt looks like fat boy Cheney.
After a bit of research, I’ve discovered that the person I mean is the Hutts Majordomo, Bib Fortuna ….check out the link below.
Have Cindy Mccain and Bib Fortuna been separated at birth or what? It sort of makes sense that if you’re gun luvin, gay hating, god deluded that you turn all twisted and freaky like a Starwars villain. I feel a great newspaper article coming on!
