Dobson: Relativism Is For Liberals
After claiming he’d not vote for John McCain, under any circumstances, Focus on the Family head James Dobson then said he would consider voting for him before outright endorsing him.
Dobson also has preached about how working mothers could go over the edge:
The most difficult aspect of this lifestyle is the consistency of the load. Most of us could maintain such a schedule for a week or two, but the working mother must do it month after month for years on end. On weekends, there’s housecleaning to do, clothes to be ironed and pants to be mended. And this is the pace she maintains when things are going right. She has no reserve of time or energy when a member of the family gets sick or the car breaks down or marital problems develop. A little push in any direction and she could go over the edge.
That is, unless you’re John McCain’s running mate. On Laura Ingraham’s radio show Dobson had this to say about his favorite political ticket when asked about Palin’s ability to balance a large family with being Vice President of the United States.
DOBSON: I think that is her choice. That’s a personal matter that’s in her own family. And she seems to be doing it well. She loves her kids, she loves her family. … When she was elected governor, she eliminated the position of chef at the mansion because she wanted to do the cooking for her own family. I mean, this is a very unique, special lady.
Oh, and Dr. Dobson is at the forefront of accusing liberals of moral relativism.
This is what has you guys in sheer panic. The GOP Base has finally unified again and the voters are energized.

National Review Online has an extensive article on this relationship. They are just beginning to review the papers released. I feel certain there will be much more about this radical relationship come to the surface.

Alan, I do not believe that you believe a word you write or say in regards to this election. I believe that you are a better person, than you project. After all, a job is a job, and the format of your show with Hannity requires that you offer the “other side”.
But Alan, I know that your heart is not in this election. I know that you struggle with what you are saying and who you are supporting. It would be better, Alan, if you just quit trying so hard, to act like you really support Obama. Because even though you try, your efforts are not credible. And you are making some very critical errors in judgment. Is Obama worth your reputation too?

Alan, from my reading of the article on working mother’s, I don’t see the level of hypocrisy you do. I can understand how Dobon’s comments can be seen as demeaning, but that doesn’t apear to be his intent. As for Palin, albeit he might not know her well, but she is an actual person, as opposed to an ambiguous hypothetical representation, thus he can’t refer to her abilities as mother and Alaska’s Governor without being challenged by actual contrary evidence.

And guess what.. Laura asked why is he supporting McCain now when he was adament about not voting for him last year.
Alan raises that point here, as a criticism. But the thing, he knows the answer.. so why would he remind all of you about what Dobson said last year but then withhold the explaination?
It’s another classic manipulation by Alan.
BTW: The asnwer was to the effect that last year he didnt know that Obama would be the nominee.. and at that time no one knew the extent of Obama’s radicalness. He didn’t use those terms but it’s effectively what he meant.
And I totally agree with him because I went through the same process myself.

I do not agree with the artical or claims. I have plenty of Dems/Libs as friends and they are moral. HOWEVER, the treatment of Sarah Palin as it comes to her family is immoral. Not only of her but of Hillary. By no means am I a Hillary supporter but come on. Obviously we have not come very far as it comes to women. The media is ridiculous and appalling. I do not see them hitting Obama for his marijuana and cocaine use. Or attacking Biden for the federal indictment of his son and brother. Such a slanted view. Obama “The Manchurian Candidate”.

for those who dont know, moral relativism is a totally different thing from making a relativistic comment or having a relatively arbitrary viewpoint.
Dobson is correct when he says liberals push moral relativism, or a reason to hate God and hate the Bible and want Christianity to be abolished. moral relativists at the core are the opposed absolutely to the existence of Christianity.
But James Dobson of focus on the family is not an upstanding Christian by any stretch of the imagination, he may peddle in Christianity, he may have a powerful and proud following, he may even use bible events and passages to back up what he says.
But I do not see any evidence that Dr James Dobson is a genuinely saved Christian.

Inexperience, lies, associations, and empty speeches are what he offers us. This has been one of the worse races for President in history. I have to say the Gov. Palin has added a little character to the Republicans that doesn’t exist in the Democrats right now. Each day their character shows in the respect for our country, troops, officials and the American people in general. They are a selfess group, wanting only for themselves and benefits promised to them by their lying party. I think most of American will see all of this before voting day. It’s interesting to just ot sit back and watch the Democratic Party commit suicide with their comments and ads.

Actually, I wouldn’t mind paying more in taxes to cover health care and education.
What I DON’T like is paying trillions for an unnecessary war. I DON’T like my government spying on me and using the excuse “fighting terrorism” (funny, this administratian was spying on Americans since January 2001 and STILL couldn’t prevent 9/11 – go figure).
If it makes me Marxist because I prefer helping the poor with their health care and education, so be it. It’s a title I accept proudly. After all, that would make Jesus a Marxist, too.
