Was it something Alan said?

September 4th, 2008, 6:07 PM EDT

On last night’s radio show, Alan interviewed actor – and former liberal – Jon Voight at the Republican Convention in St. Paul. As we soon learned, the Academy Award winner doesn’t exactly support Alan’s views on the war in Iraq.

Fortunately the show airs on an eight-second delay, as some of Voight’s language would be frowned upon by the FCC.

Here’s the audio. They semed to make up by the end… I think.

  1. Voight…blaming the peace movement for the aftermath of Vietnam?
The US began its involvement as “military advisors” during the early 50’s (Eisenhower years). The French had bailed out because they knew it was a hopeless mess. Yet it took the US more than twenty years to cease the bombing (use of napalm & agent orange, etc.), jungle warfare, cultural rape, and over 50,000 dead troops to finally end it. How about placing blame on the political leaders who started it!

  2. Also…Jon’s potty mouth was condescending & arrogant toward you, Alan. Invite him back & I’ll give him an earful!

  3. Yeah!! Bring the old guy back so Mary can rip him a new one!!

Given that Voight is splitsville from his daughter (Angelina Jolie), I wish someone would identify what’s in the water these rightwingers drink that makes most of their families go disfunctional. They can’t even run their own family affairs, where do they get off trying to set the bar for everyone else’s family values?

Jon Voight in his yard as the neighbor kids come by to visit: “get off my grass, you damned kids!!!”

  4. Voight was right on. Alan is so hyperpartisan with no wisdom or analysis… he’s a simpleton.

  5. Good point, Anonymouse.

  6. Alan, why don’t you lay off anyone that disagrees with you. Voight makes a very good point and all we hear from you is the tearing down of the Administration!!! Dee from Texas
