On Thursday’s Radio Show…

September 11th, 2008, 6:00 PM EDT

• A momentary end to political attacks. The nation – and its presidential candidates – remembers the horrific terrorist attacks of seven years ago.

Ellis Henican joins Alan to discuss tonight’s forum at Columbia University featuring Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama.

• Sarah Palin speaks! The Alaskan governor tells ABC’s Charlie Gibson that she’s not only experienced enough to be Vice President but also President, if need be.

Responses to this post...

  1. Good for her. Go Sarah.

  2. Agreed! Go Sarah, go! You go, girl!

Go, close the door, go and never return.

  3. Aww. John. Be civil. It’s 9/11 and we’re putting a temporary cease-fire on political hatred for just today.

  4. Tee hee SP… tried telling that to Bradley, Ad Rem, Working Mom and the rest?

  10. She is technically correct in that if a Nato member nation is attacked the others are supposed to respond in defense. At least knew what the NATO doctrine was even if she knew not of The Shrub Doctrine..

  11. now she’s blaming the mission from God statement on “honest abe”. God help us all!!!

  12. Why do so many liberals who claim to be the party of acceptance for all, have such an issue when someone mentions the word God? Her answer as to why she made that statement makes perfect sense to anyone with even a little bit of faith. Anytime you are in a leadership position where you are sending young men and women to battle, you hope and pray that what you are doing IS God’s will. That doesn’t mean you think you are on MISSION from God. Palin didn’t coin the phrase…check your history books.

  13. Sorry to break it to you, Tenika, but Mrs Palin’s god is no less ludicrous than Obama’s, Ghandhi’s, the Dalai Lama’s or the Ayotollahs’. Make-believe mumbo jumbo with no basis in reality – and the ideal justification for whatever you want to do or say.

Someone once said “The idea of a god is so attractive we would have invented him even if he didn’t exist”. And ever since man’s brain developed to the stage where he could ask “What’s the point if this is all there is?” we have invented god over and over and over again. Primitive nonsense.

  14. This country was founded on Judaeo-Christian beliefs/ideaologies, and it is the right of millions of Americans to believe in God. Just as it is your right to choose not to believe in God.

The ironic part is, the ones who don’t believe in God want to infringe on everyone else’s freedom to believe, and are ALWAYS the ones protesting the loudest and most vehemently.

I don’t see anyone on the far left questioning Joe Biden’s or obama’s relgious beliefs, only those of Governor Palin.

  15. What i want to know? Does Mr. Colmes have H.I.V. he do look like it.
