Joy Behar: You used to be more of the Maverick, then you sort of turned.
John McCain: In what way?
Behar: You became much more lockstep, I think, with your party, with George Bush’s policies. I don’t see the old John McCain who used to really buck the system as much. ‘Cause I understand why – you want to get elected.
McCain: I’ve been through this litany before, where I say, ‘Okay, what specific area have I quote changed?’ Nobody can name it…I am the same person and I have the same principles…I’m the same guy.
Crooks and Liars has some good links that illustrate how he’s not “the same guy”.
His whole point was that he is still a “maverick”. He hasn’t changed in this respect like she was trying to say.

Change? What change? I don’t know what you’re talking about! I just use that word in my campaign as a catchy little slogan, but it doesn’t mean I’ve changed! What me change? I’ll never change! To those of you who have family, friends, or relatives in the Armed Forces serving in Afghanistan or Iraq. It is imperative that I mention these facts below to you. I welcome you all to do your own research on this or Google it.
For a man to be an ex POW in Vietnam who has endured so much torture and punishment and who promotes “Country First” on his campaign, his history should lead him to do better for his fellow men and women in the Armed Forces but here are the FACTS below —
1) For every GI Bill that is proposed to Congress in favor of more spending for the protection of our troops, both in Afghanistan and Iraq, McCain has voted AGAINST it and Obama has voted FOR it.
2) For every GI Bill that is proposed to Congress in favor of deploying more armor and artillery for our troops, both in Afghanistan and Iraq, McCain has voted AGAINST it and Obama has voted FOR it.
3) For every GI Bill that is proposed to Congress in favor of giving more compensation and more medical benefits to our injured troops returning from Afghanistan and Iraq, McCain has voted AGAINST it and Obama has voted FOR it.
4) For every GI Bill that is proposed to Congress in favor of giving more compensation to our veterans of all the past wars, McCain has voted AGAINST it and Obama has voted FOR it.
Please look over these FACTS and do your own research. For a man to promote character, wisdom, and the love for his country; the facts don’t coincide with this man.
This Election 2008 is a colorless election. It is about two human beings that want to lead our country, either in the right direction or in the wrong direction. We have lived the wrong direction for 8 years and have been in the wrong side of history throughout that time. Do we want to live it again?

how dare you people!!!, he is a war hero,a pow, and palin a jockey mom and a maverick… just because they are empty of ideas, and have NO plan to shift the country in a different direction, does not mean that they are not ready or prepared to be president and vice president,
please remember to never question the record or stances of issues of a POW or a female mayor/governor… even if we are facing crisis here and abroad…
Bottom line is if you want to go to war with Russia and be drafted, if you want to pay a lot aof money for utilities, gas, groceries, healthcare, if you want your house to be in the slumps, then they are the right choice, otherwise, you can vote independant or not at all. After all who wants to vote for a Black Dude in a suit, right?

Even the 1% of honest liberals agree that the fat hideous angry man-hating cow, Joy Baher and suck ass Barbera Walters just jumped John McCain, even as he was trying to answer those pigs. It’s funny that when Obama and Michelle, (the women that really hates you stupid white crackers behind closed doors) as you support her (idiots) gets on the show and is not asked ONE TOUGH QUESTION. Was not jumped by 3 airhead Republicans (because they don’t exist)You liberals are the real problem of why this country is in decline.

Yes, McCain voted with President Bush 90% of the time. Senator Obama voted the Democrat party line 97% of the time. Yeah, McCain is Bush III; Obama is change.

Michelle Obama supposedly had a list of off-limit questions/topics when she went on the view. I am sure Barack is the same way. Cindy and John are open books…they don’t have ties to William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, etc. etc. etc.
And I don’t think Cindy McCain has ever said “for the first time in my adult life I am proud to be an American”. Most americans can name numerous times they have been proud.

He was differnt than Bush back then and he is still same “rabel rouser.” I believe Bush had change. 9/11 attack in NYC and Pentagon changed him. We were attacked aby terrorists. We all changed. Attacking America’s Money disrict and the pentagon. Stock market was closed on 9/12/2001. Our country’s economey and fighting thing were in desaster.The attack changed me. If I was young I would have joined the army. I remember CNN headline “AMERICA IS ATTACKED.” Broadway in NYC looked like war zone.
McCane is the same—–Bush changed. Hey! It was a choise betewwn Libarman (A libaral dude) or a Woman. We lucked uot, as a woman. I still think McCane is different than Bush.
