What the hell is wrong with you Alan? Do you truly believe the crap that comes out of your mouth? Nobody likes you. You are a petty weezle that people just tolerate. You must have been a lunch money victim. I know this e-mail doesn’t give specifics. Frankly, I don’t have the time nor would I waste much more of it than this to explain the many reasons why you are an idiot. You know… Tevo is awesome! Sean, You are a great American!! Rock on!!!

Responses to this post...

  1. A hug from Jerry. [HUG].

  2. All I ever hear about is how hateful the left is on message boards like the Huffington Post. I mean I hear people like Hannity say that a lot so I’m not sure if it even has anything to do with reality. But some of these posts to Alan are pretty terrible…

  3. Alan:
What did you ever do to these people? I am a relatively new viewer of Hannity and Colmes and enjoy it very much for it’s equal time on the issues and the accountability to which you hold your guests. I applaud Fox for allowing at least one opinion from the left.

  4. MARK: I’m sure you have read, seen, and heard all the garbage liberals have been throwing at Sarah Palin. What has she ever done to you guys. But thats different, I’m sure.

  5. Uhhh… yeah, I’ve heard criticisms of Sarah Palin. What does that have to do with taking personal shots at Alan Colmes? I’m intrigued by constructive political debate but what’s the point in posting disparaging remarks? Humor?

  6. Allan I think you are great, love your radio program, you are inspiring, funny and you know how to handle those right wingers. Love your sense of humor when you deal with people. Much respect and I am so glad I can hear you on my radio because I cannot tune in to fox, it makes me get sick LOL, cant listen to all the crap they have in that fox and I watch enough crap at cnn and msnbc. Keep them hating, at least that keeps them busy, maybe they will forget to vote?

  7. SOooo, just who is saul lewinsky?
    Any relation to Monica?

  8. I’ve been known to bandy about the word “disgusting” now and again.

Then I read these “person’s” hateful missives.

Now I have to find a way to expand my vocabulary. I’m running out of adjectives.

  9. “Uhhh… yeah, I’ve heard criticisms of Sarah Palin. What does that have to do with taking personal shots at Alan Colmes?”

Some people don’t like Sarah Palin so they take personal shots at her. Some people don’t like Colmes so they take personal shots at him. Check around and you might find the ones taken at Palin by the far left are as bad, and sometimes worse, that any taken at Colmes.

  10. Alan, have you gone of your meds again? It seems all you do is whine any more.

  11. Yes, I keep hearing how much those of us on the left hate those on the right.

It is good of you to let us know how you all feel too.

  12. Wow, that’s embarrassing. Don’t worry, Al. I’m not a democrat but I’d never say things like that to you. You probably should just ignore your hatemail unless they have something constructive to say. You’re not one of the people on the left who smear people, so it doesn’t make sense that people would wanna insult you like that.

  13. The fact that people take the time and effort to write these venomous letters shows a deep insecurity in the righteousness of their own world view.

One does not go to these lengths to besmirch someone who simply challenges their point of view.

  14. If I had the attitude of these right wingers who write these vile pieces to Alan, I certainly would not tell people I was a conservative. Product of your environment – yep, products of right wing radio talkshow hosts. GIGO.

  15. Gosh Alan,

I never knew that the righties were filled with such evil hatred for fellow human beings! I thought those down home Christian folk were filled with the Jesus Love. So much for the truth! Isn’t it amazing and frightening that the low I.Q. states may be responsible for electing the next set of morons to govern this nation? Yeesh. Now we know what abstinence only education really means…multiply like rabbits so you can vote Republican!

  16. yeah they took a whole 3 minutes to write a quick nasty sentence.. oh it’s War and Peace!

  17. jodi: What’s with your religious bigotry?

  18. OMG DJ’s comment is the best. He says he doesn’t have the time to tell Alan he’s an idiot… by the way i’m taking the time to write to alan and tell him that he’s an idiot… and also, Sean Hannity, have my children because you are a great American.

  19. To the Hannity fans:

In YOUR eyes. what makes him a “better American” than Alan Colmes?

Because many people think that the opposite is true.

  20. I am shocked to read all the hate emails directed at Alan. People, why are you scared of reading the truth. No wonder foreign countries think that Americans are ignorant. When they read these emails, I don’t blame them at all. Going to school is not just enough, you need to travel and see how other people live. The whole world is just a global village.

McCain should be ashamed of himself for picking Sarah Palin. I pray everyday for God to strengthen our economy because when the US economy is strong, the rest of the world will benefit including the other super powers. I know that God will give us the leaders (Obama/Biden) who will clean up the system and keep America on top, as it should be.

And so my advise – Do not hate on Alan. He is just telling it as it is. Sarah Palin is not smart enough and she does not represent me in any way as a woman. I am a very strong conservative but I am not like Palin. She and others like her are HYPOCRITES and BIGOTS.

    May God bless us all.

Please do not respond to my comment because I am not going to respond to yours either.

    Peace and Light.
    M

  21. Peace and light. Rigth. Exactly how is she a hypocrite and bigot? when you talk about wanting our economy to be strong so other economies will benefit that sounds a lot like a one world economy? Do you also want a one world government? If so, obama is your man.

Governor Palin was smart enough to become Governor, which actually requires that you make tough decisions on a daily basis, not just vote “present”.

How is obama going to clean up the system? Is he going to take advice from William Ayers or Tony Rezko? How about his spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright? What exactly were his responsibilites/accomplishments as a community organizer?

She may not represent you as a woman, but she represents millions of other women.

  22. Peace and light is entitled to her opinion and free to express her freedom of speech. I also support her argument. It is about time we focus on something relevant which is the economy and how to move the country forward.

After the elections, we are all Americans. Lets not burn our bridges because of this closely contested elections.

    S.

  23. She is absolutely free to express her opinion. I find it amusing that when democrats envoke the name of God and talk about “truth” they are entitled to their opinion. When Republicans do the same, we are religious fanatics furthering a right wing conspiracy, or simply “holding onto our guns and religion).

her opinion that she is a liar, hypocrite and bigot is exactly just that…OPINION.

  24. “Do you also want a one world government? If so, obama is your man.
    ……………………………………….

Funny, that’s EXACTLY what the left says about the Milton Friedman free marketers from the Republican side:

One world government ruled by multi national corporations who socialize the risks and loses, while privatizing the profits.
    ………

Voting “present” is voting ‘no’ with an explaination.
    …………………….

Is mccain going to take advice from lobbyists running his campaign? How about his “spiritual guide”,(his words), Rod Parsley?

How about Palin’s ‘end times are comming’ preacher?

Starting at age 23, Obama ran a faith-based charity called the Developing Communities Project.

It was made up of eight Catholic parishes when he got there and had one staff member. He was its director, meaning he was in charge. He made decisions about it, including staffing, budgets, etc. And when he left in 1988 to go to law school, he had grown its budget from $70,000 to $400,000, its staff from 1 to 13 people. More important, he created a job training program for this community and a college prep tutoring program.

  25. In other words, he ran what would be a small business, while Governor Palin has run a state.

If running a small business, tutoring students, and training people on the job is all it takes to be qualified, maybe I should run for President.

I think Joe Biden’s son was a lobbyist for special interest groups until late last week? very convenient.

What about Palin’s end times minister? She isn’t allowed to attend church? At least her minister doesn’t condemn the very country we live in. How about Obama’s pastor and spiritual leader who he suddenly dropped like a hot coal? How about all the democrats and far left wingers who are comparing Obama to the Messiah?

  26. T. Mason, why are you so bitter? She directed her comments about the McCain-Palin ticket and not to you, that is no reason to be disrespectful. I guess you are an expect on discrimination against women. You are one of those who want to see women restricted to the kitchen with no opinions of themseleves. We have come a long way as women and when we see someone who is actually a woman, trying to set us back to those days, it will not do justice to the women who suffered to get us to where we are today. When you say Palin represents millions of women in this country, of course I believe her – women like Palin of course.

However, I don’t blame you, your entry says a lot about the kind of person you are – male chauvinist.

Can you see that she never responded to your entries and you keep going on and on. I guess when you don’t have anything to do except sit by your computer and visit all the blog sites to type in your entry, you will have the time for this nonsense.

Hope this entry will make your day.

    S.

  27. To T Mason: This next entry from you shows that you are very uneducated. Go to school first, travel around the world, meet other people, experience different cultures, and then come back and make educated entries.

When I read these words from T. mason, I wonder!!!
    S.

  28. “In other words, he ran what would be a small business, while Governor Palin has run a state.”
    ……………………………..

No, Obama was an organizer between college and law school, at the same time in Palin’s life, she was flitting between colleges, and a beauty pagent.

SHE was a governor (of the state with the smallest population: I didn’t like Rudi, but his job of mayor was more demanding than gov. of Alaska.), when Obama was in the US Senate.

Of course she’s allowed to go to church. I just don’t want her belief in the end of the world to make foreign policy for the rest of us.

The ONLY difference between Rev Wright’s Comments and those of the right wing pastors is that Rev Wright is angry that the government uses it’s awesome power to, in his opinion, hurt the little people, and the right wing pastors are angry that the government does NOT use it’s awesome power to keep the little people, according to THEIR beliefs, in line.
If only because McCain wants the votes of their followers, I think that THEY have a lot more influence over him than Wright over Obama.

  30. Its people like oldlefty, sade, and mary that if we let them will destroy this great country.

  31. Her view of the end of the world will not influence foreign policy. I think everyone has a view on the end of the world? Including Barry Soetoro, aka Barry Obama, aka Barry Dunham, aka Barack Hussein Obama. I am sure Joe biden does as well?

I think we have checks and balances, not a dictatorship. It is not as if one person rules the government.

Reverend Wright BLAMED the U.S. for the 9/11 attacks. I don’t care which side of the aisle you are on, we did not deserve that attack nor did we provoke it. I might add that the church Obama attended chose Louis Farrakahm as it’s person of the year not long ago. Interesting.

You act as if Christians are mindless creatures following blindly. I guess you are considered an intelligent Christian if you sit in a pew for over 20 years listening to sermon after sermon and claim to not have a clue that your pastor was full of hate. And then of course denounce him.

  32. Sade, I am the proud mother of 2 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Cum Laude, and also a small business owner.I have just as much right to express my opinion as you.

I am am not sure why you think or assume women who support Palin, or men who support the McCain/Palin ticket are chauvenistic? I am also not sure how you think a woman who is the mother of 5, and a Governor would set us back? She and Hillary Clinton have a lot in common other than their views on reproduction, and if you notice they will not attack each other because they have mutual respect for their accomplishments.

I have lived in this country my whole life and have visited abroad, and quite frankly do not need the influences of other cultures to guide me in my decision on who to vote for.

  33. To T.MAson

I don’t think S. Palin has anything in common with Hillary except same xx-chromosome. A lot of people have said that already. I suggest you read New York times and other professional and credible print media instead of listening to Rush radio and other extreme right radio talk shows who are obviously biased and prejudiced. I was a former Hillary Clinton supporter. For one thing, Hillary understood the US constitution back to back, she is an accomplished attorney and has achieved a lot. Unlike Ms. Palin who finally obtained a degree in JOURNALISM after jumping from one college to the other. Whose Judgement is better? Hillary also has foreign policy experience as well. And so the difference couldn’t be clearer.

Obama on the other hand is a law professor and an accomplished lawyer and senator in his own right. He knows and understood the US constitution back to back. He has met heads of state from other countries and they respect him. He has passed a lot of legislation in both the state senate and also in DC. His wife is a smart intelligent and humble woman and a mother of two lovely girls.

Good for you on being a nurse with two kids. I don’t have anything against Sarah being a mom and I never brought that into this conversation. you did! I respect and admire men and women in public service in this country especially the military, police, firefighters and nurses, but that does not mean that I have to agree with you. You need to do more research on the candidates instead of blinding follwoing party lines.

I am also in one of the prestigious US universities for my Phd in political science and so I have better political view than you do.

Other cultures will not influence your one minded and narrow way of life and thinking process rather, it will shape and enlighten you. You will appreciate what we have in this country when you travel abroad.

Please like light and peace, do not respond. This is not healthy anymore. We should not exchange words over McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden tickets. They don’t even know that we exist.

  34. “I suggest you read New York times and other professional and credible print media ..”

  36. Sade,

Actually you brought gender, education, etc. into this conversation by calling me a male chauvenist, lol. You don’t have to agree with me, that is the beauty of this great country we live in.

I appreciate what I have, and have WORKED HARD for. I have a real problem with a candidate who wants to create the largest expansion in government size and income redistribution since LBJ. Even the Harvard economics department agrees that what Obama is calling “refundable” tax credits is actually going to amount to a HUGE tax hike on tax-paying Americans, and he would redistribute that income to non-tax paying Americans. That is not good for the economy, and it is socialism.

I find it ironic that the candidate who criticized John McCain for being in Washington too long and claims to be for CHANGE chose Joe Biden as his running mate. I also find it ironic that the party who CLAIMS to care about women’s rights passed over Hillary and is now attacking GOVERNOR Palin in a clearly sexist manner. Why won’t the democrats ask Barack if he can be a good father while acting as President?

On the topic of what print media I read, I can assure you it goes much farther and broader than the NYT.

As far as Obama’s legislative experience goes, which legislation in particular did he write/help get passed that helped the general public?

Whether or not your political view is “better” than mine, I don’t know how you gauge that? You are obviously coming from the far left and have no desire to meet in the middle, as journalists who were digging up “dirt” on Governor Palin have discovered she has done in her own state so many times.

  37. In response to:
“Reverend Wright BLAMED the U.S. for the 9/11 attacks.”
    …………………………………………….

So did Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson. It’s just that they were white, and NOT wearing a dashiki when they said it.

I don’t know how you can get the vapors over Louis Farrakahn, when McCain has lobbyists for defense contractors, is using the SAME people who smeared and dishonored HIS family and military service in 2000, and Sarah Palin sat in a church while they preached that Jews bring on terrorist attacks themselves.

    As for:
“I guess you are considered an intelligent Christian if you sit in a pew for over 20 years listening to sermon after sermon and claim to not have a clue that your pastor was full of hate.”
    ……………………………………………..

#1. While the right likes to act as though what they saw of Rev. Wright was 100% of his preaching career, it ACTUALLY was about 0.01%.
Obama bashers know this, they just won’t let the facts get in the way.

#2 I don’t find Rev Wright NEARLY as hateful as:

~ On July 19, 2006, at a CUFI’s Washington DC inaugural event, with GOP Party head Ken Mehlman and US GOP Senators Sam Brownback, Rick Santorum, Kay Bailey-Hutchinson and John Cronyn in attendance (President George W. Bush sent recorded greetings to the event ) , Pastor John Hagee declared:

“The United States must join Israel in a pre-emptive military strike against Iran to fulfill God’s plan for both Israel and the West… a biblically prophesied end-time confrontation with Iran, which will lead to the Rapture, Tribulation [...] and [the] Second Coming of Christ.”

    OR

    ~ Frank Schaffer:
“Religious Right leader Francis Schaeffer — denounced America and even called for the violent overthrow of the US government, he was invited to lunch with presidents Ford, Reagan and Bush, Sr.

Every Sunday thousands of right wing white preachers (following in my father’s footsteps) rail against America’s sins from tens of thousands of pulpits. They tell us that America is complicit in the “murder of the unborn,” has become “Sodom” by coddling gays, and that our public schools are sinful places full of evolutionists and sex educators hell-bent on corrupting children. They say, as my dad often did, that we are, “under the judgment of God.” They call America evil and warn of immanent destruction. By comparison Obama’s minister’s shouted “controversial” comments were mild. All he said was that God should damn America for our racism and violence and that no one had ever used the N-word about Hillary Clinton.”

Again, when white preachers blame America for the ‘immorality of it’s people’ it’s treated as mainstream religion.
When a black preacher blames America for the ‘immorality of it’s government’, it’s treated as scary, angry black people.

  38. This isn’t a white or black issue, so why make it one? I find it disgusting when members of either race spew hatred for the best country in the world.

I sit in a pew week after week and can say that my minister has never said america has brought anything on themselves, and would certainly never say “not God Bless America,” “Gd America”. Either way, my point was, you can’t sit in a church…republican OR democrat for over 20 years and deny that you knew your minister felt that way.

I don’t think that any of the senators you mentioned are currently running for President or VP, and George Bush Sr. or Junior are not running for re-elction either.

And I would argue, that yes, if you take the life of an unborn child it is murder. That is my opinion based on my religious beliefs and that is my “choice”.

I don’t view his comments as coming from “scary, angry black people”…your words. I view them as comments from a man who is using the pulpit to demonstrate his disdain for the country and military who give him the right to say whatever he wants, while placing blame on Americans for an unprovoked act of war carried out by islamic fundamentalists on Sept 11.

  39. T. Mason said of Rev. Wright:

view them as comments from a man who is using the pulpit to demonstrate his disdain for the country and military who give him the right to say whatever he wants, while placing blame on Americans for an unprovoked act of war carried out by islamic fundamentalists on Sept 11.

Rev. Wright was in the military himself, both as a Marine, and in the Navy. He even served on the medical team responsible for the care of President Johnson. I don’t know what evidence you have that he has disdain for them, and I think a man who has honorably served his country in such a way deserves a bit more respect than you have shown him.

At Palin’s church, on 6-22-08, part of the sermon was this:

So I go to Nahum and I find encouragement. And the encouragement is this—the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. There will not be one atrocity, there will be not one act of unjust violence, that God does not deal with. God will deal—whether it’s a huge nation like Assyria, a corrupt African nation, or a slipping-sliding country like the US of A—the Lord will leave no one unpunished.

Admittedly less colorful than Wright’s comment, but pretty much the same thing, right? It took me 5 minutes of research to find that quote (from the Church’s website, not a secondary source), I would not be surprised to find other similar comments.

  40. I agree 100% with UM CARA>

I would say to T MASON:

It IS a black or white issue. The media would be too frightened of accusations of ‘liberal bias’ and hatred of religion, if they showed the endless loops of these right wing , white preachers.

From Rod Parsley, (McCain’s “spiritual advisor”), who claims that America was founded to destroy Islam, to Palin’s preacher, to The founder of the Alaska Independence Party — a group that has been courted over the years by Sarah Palin, and one her husband was a member of for roughly seven years — once professed his “hatred for the American government” and cursed the American flag as a “damn flag.”
“The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government,” Vogler said in the interview, in which he talked extensively about his desire for Alaskan secession, the key goal of the AIP…..

These events would never be given the same amount of coverage as one little black man, in one church.

I’m sorry, but I think that Wright has shown much LESS disdain for this country than these others….Don’t confuse America with those who are powerful, and would abuse her.

I would argue, that if you drop bombs on people and use cluster bombs, that THAT is murder, even if you call it self defense, and call the victims “collateral damage”.

    Again, as you say,
”I don’t view his comments as coming from “scary, angry black people” I view them as comments from a man who is using the pulpit to demonstrate his disdain for the country…”
But the right counts on the fact that many white people DO view them EXACTLY that way, AND that no one will see that the preachers pulling the strings on the right are “using the pulpit to demonstrate THEIR disdain for the country , while placing blame on Americans for an unprovoked act of war carried out by islamic fundamentalists on Sept 11.

  41. It will remain a black and white issue as long as people say it is. Why does everything have to be about black or white? It doesn’t.

This issue is no different than pundits going on TV, or giving newspaper interviews claiming that if Obama doesn’t win the election, the US is still racist. WRONG. If he doesn’t win the election it means enough Americans disagreed with his political views.

Quite frankly I am tired of people playing the race card when it is convenient. Just because I, or anyone else for that matter is offended by his comments does not mean I am racist, nor does it mean I am offended simply because of his race.

You can spin it how you want to.

Either way, whichever party wins, Change will not happen overnight nor will it occur during one term. Either way, whoever wins history will have been made. Either a black male will be President, or a woman will be the VP.

  42. I love the last one from DJ. Oo! Ooo! I want to try it out (apologies, Alan, but it just looks like great fun!):

  43. “Why won’t the democrats ask Barack if he can be a good father while acting as President?”

Because Michelle, like most women in America (married or not) have become the primary caregivers in America.

That’s not to say Mr. Palin can’t care for their very small daughter and special-needs son, but he doesn’t seem to have made that his priority they way Michelle Obama has.

The effects of Palin’s divided attention have obviously taken a toll on her family as well, since her son has purportedly used drugs, and her 17-year-old daughter accidentally got knocked up and was reportedly packed off to her aunt’s for a time.

As for “wealth redistribution,” I always find it amazing that the rich get richer, and the poor and middle class seem to get poorer under Republican presidents. At least, that’s what my Republican father has observed.

    How’s that for wealth redistribution?

  44. Sarah writes a hilarious email to Alan:

    Dear Alan Doody-head,

You think you are so cool, but you are NOT!

Eat worms, Colmes! See you at 2nd recess.

    Your worst enemy ever!!! Ever!!!!
    –Sarah

You crack me up Sarah : )

But I have found the real life wackos on this blog can out crazy even the craziest parody I, you, or any other semi normal person can come up with.

But you did make me laugh, thanks!

  45. I noticed T Mason said she had a choice… its nice to have a choice isnt it.

  46. If you are willing to ask a female how can she effectively do her job while having children, even though she has a spouse, you should be ready to ask a male candidate with small children and a spouse the same question and expect an answer. Otherwise, you have a double standard.

As far as her children go, I assumed children were supposed to be off limits during elections? What their children have done in the past has nothing to do with their ability to perform a job.

I don’t think her son’s drug use should be a campaign issue. If you want to bring up drug use then focus on Obama’s admitted drug use since he is the one running for office.

I am part of a middle class family, and I have no issue with Americans working hard and doing better for themselves. I don’t want Bill Gates or any other well to do who has worked hard for their money to share it with me. I didn’t earn it, I don’t deserve it. And I don’t want to share what I have earned with Joe blow down the street who wants to sit at home in his jammies all day.

  47. I might add, when you go for a job interview, your prospective employer is not allowed to ask about your prospective reproductive plans OR your parenting ability.

  48. But you don’t mind forking it over to the welfare queens at Halliburton, Titan and CaCi international, even when they don’t deliver the goods, and over 9 billion go missing?

  49. Um Cara: “But I have found the real life wackos on this blog can out crazy even the craziest parody I, you, or any other semi normal person can come up with.”

    Egad, that’s an understatement.

T Mason: “If you are willing to ask a female how can she effectively do her job while having children, even though she has a spouse, you should be ready to ask a male candidate with small children and a spouse the same question and expect an answer. Otherwise, you have a double standard.”
–Don’t look at me. Phyllis Schlaffley’s part of YOUR party. Betty Ford took a lot of GOP flak when she supported the ERA. But you missed the point: If HE’S not watching the kids, and SHE’S not watching the kids, then WHO is watching the kids? I hope they hire a good nanny, anyway.

“As far as her children go, I assumed children were supposed to be off limits during elections? What their children have done in the past has nothing to do with their ability to perform a job.”
–Except that parenting should be Job #1.

“I don’t think her son’s drug use should be a campaign issue.”
–You’re the one making it a campaign issue. I’m pointing to it as a parenting issue. Palin is hard-core anti-abortion, and she’s trotted out her children under the microscope/spotlight to be seen as pro-family. I have no doubt she loves her family, it’s just that five kids under the age of 19 still require quite a bit of attention.

“I am part of a middle class family, and I have no issue with Americans working hard and doing better for themselves.”
–Who does? Unless it’s at the expense of others, of course.

“I don’t want Bill Gates or any other well to do who has worked hard for their money to share it with me. I didn’t earn it, I don’t deserve it. And I don’t want to share what I have earned with Joe blow down the street who wants to sit at home in his jammies all day.”

–Who does? Shoot, I’d like to know where I can phone in disability scammers in my locale. There was that Republican jerk I knew who collected disability for a bad back, and also got a nice settlement from the gov’t that allowed him to go scuba diving in Jamaica, for instance. And the Republican doctor who cheated Medicare and Medicaid for years and years. And then there’s the farmer who got paid for not planting anything.

I applaud those who worked hard, amassed wealth, etc. And as long as they pay their fair share to support the nation that made it possible for them (and that continues to help them amass great wealth), that’s great. As long as they’re responsible stewards of their company, their workers, their shareholders (the three don’t have to be mutually exclusive), then they’ll be great assets to the nation.

    But here’s what I resent:

    1) I resent the health care industry for stealing part of whatever measly COLA raise I get.

    2) I resent the oil industry (and our shortsighted “leaders”) for taking the other part of my measly raise.

    3) I resent elitists who call low-paying jobs “just for students and young people,” like they’re not real jobs that make a real difference in society (which explains the crappy service. Why excel at a job no one takes — or pays– seriously?).

    4) I resent educational institutions who have made frills necessities, and blow billions of dollars every year, while jacking up college tuition beyond reasonable repayment.

    5) I resent fat-cat CEOs who destroy companies, only to be given golden parachutes to destroy other companies upon their landing.

    6) I resent that the rich have gotten a helluva lot richer in this country, not by working harder, or smarter, but by compromising their ethics, overthrowing their integrity, laughing at civic stewardship, and valuing a quick buck for shareholders, over building a lasting business that reinvests and makes over itself. (Hello, Big Three.)

  50. Sarah, I agree with a lot of your gripes. parenting should be job #1 for BOTH parents, not just women (Obama should be under scrutiny too). Who says neither one of them are watching their kids (I am assuming you are talking about the Palin’s)?

As far as people of wealth paying their fair share, if I am not mistaken they are consistently paying more than their fair share in taxes.

The fact is, and Economic professors at Harvard agree (according to the Wall Street Journal)….Obama is proposing the largest government growth and income redistribution since LBJ. He is proposing one of the steepest increases in taxes in modern history.

Obama will be taking money from tax-paying Americans and handing the money to non-tax paying americans in the forms of “refundable” tax credits.

Most people involved in politics, on both sides of the aisle….EVEN Obama and Biden are the elite you are speaking of.

I think maybe some of the blame you are placing on the healthcare industry should also lie with the insurance companies.

  51. T Mason and others, why do you always bring Obama to this discussion in reference to palin? He is running against John Mcsame and not palin. Compare Obama and Mcsame, Palin and Biden. That is the right order and you should compare them on the issues and not on irrelevant and petty things.

  52. [Sing to the tune of the Anthem of the Soviet Union]

    All hail the messiah
    Obama, Obama
The path to the new socialist motherland
    Our savior, our savior
    Obama, Obama
The leader more famous than Lindsay Lohan
Bow down and praise the one
Give him your money and your guns
    Give us a country
    That makes your wife proud
Lord Barry heal the bitter ones
White and Clinging to faith and to guns
Hope for the change of the hope of the change!

  54. Vince, you scare me with that Obama is the Messiah b.s., I think you really believe that. I think its disrespectful to the REAL Messiah, furthermore, it was a talking point that was brought up by the right wing talkshow host along with the rockstar persona, as a Christian I am disgusted with anyone that has the adaucity to even compare any human on earth presently as the Messiah, show some respect you numbnutt. You had the nerve to even make up a song.. you are an idiot. and I mean that sincerely.

Sarah, you make terrific points, T. Mason, you have terrific points also, although(no disrespect intended) reading from top to bottom I was under the impression that you were male also, glad you cleared the air on that one. Um Cara, Oldlefty, great points.

Normally I’m on here screwing with both parties, seeing that I belong to neither. Its more fun to just jump right into a swirling hornets nest of liberals and conservatives, dems and repubs, hashing it out, antagonizing both sides, but I was highly entertained and somewhat suprised that actual intellect was used in most of the exchange. It goes to show that conversing sensibly with someone can actually prove to be productive and that its really okay to respectfully disagree….

    Vince, dont bother responding.

  55. You should listen to the song before you dis it

  56. T Mason: “Sarah, I agree with a lot of your gripes. parenting should be job #1 for BOTH parents, not just women. Who says neither one of them are watching their kids (I am assuming you are talking about the Palin’s)?”

–You’re right, Obama should be helping his wife raise their kids. And he actually does seem to be in touch with them, even as he’s running a PRESIDENTIAL race.

Palins’ kids, I see evidence of trouble. Sorry, but wow. If my oldest son was doing drugs and was about to enter the military, if my daughter got knocked up at 17, and I just gave birth to a special-needs baby, I’d be ratcheting my sights down to take care of them a little better, make sure the other two are going to come out OK.

So yeah, whether or not they’re parenting their kids well? They provide obvious doubt, beyond the “kids will be kids,” kind of thing.

“As far as people of wealth paying their fair share, if I am not mistaken they are consistently paying more than their fair share in taxes.”
    – Well, that’s how the story goes, anyway. I see tax credits, sweetheart deals, loopholes, etc., that would belie that statement.

We might also have a different definition of what consitutes “fair share” of taxes. If you want to make $2 million, then you have a bigger stake in America’s infrastructure, education, etc., because you’ll likely be hiring from that pool of employees.

Well, it would be nice, anyway. Today’s employee has to compete with underpaid, overworked Mexicans, Indians, and Chinese, so that you can make your $2 million (and get a tax break by the way).

“The fact is, and Economic professors at Harvard agree (according to the Wall Street Journal)….Obama is proposing the largest government growth and income redistribution since LBJ. He is proposing one of the steepest increases in taxes in modern history.”
–This is one of the reasons I was crying when Clinton got in. I was afraid the economy was going to implode. But it didn’t, it blossomed. Why? Well, thanks in part to GHW Bush’s fearless tax increases.

“Most people involved in politics, on both sides of the aisle….EVEN Obama and Biden are the elite you are speaking of.”
    – I’ve seldom, if ever, heard a Democrat or a centrist or liberal talk down about middle class and lower class employees. It usually comes from union-busting, or the wannabe-rich, or the nouveau riche Republicans.

“I think maybe some of the blame you are placing on the healthcare industry should also lie with the insurance companies.”
–Oh, definitely. There’s plenty of blame to go around, including the American people (with their ever-expanding butts).

  57. ALAN, IM A CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN WHO DISAGREES WITH YOU MOST OF THE TIME BUT I FIND YOU CHARMING ALL OF THE TIME. I AGREE WITH HANNITY MOST OF THE TIME BUT CANT STAND HIM ALL OF THE TIME. CINDY

  58. Ya know, I like that, Cindy. I respect your opnion even though I might disagree. Sean can be agrivating…most of the time.

  59. I watched the show last night, the sixth and you kept asking name one thing Obama took from Ayers. Let me answer that. Strong arm tactics and intimidation. HE TAUGHT ACORN HOW TO USE IT. He WAS also THERE LAWYER. $850 billion. Primarily because of Fannie Mae and Freedie Mac, owned and operated by ACORN,the Black Caucus, Barney Frank,Dood and approximately $136,000 contribution to Obama.
Let,s put the the so called $700 billion (closer to 850) in perspective. The U.S. Federal Government collected $2,568 billion in fiscal year 2007, while spending $2,730 billion, generating a total deficit of $162 billion. This bill asks for more than 25 percent of last year’s collections. This is more than the government spent on defense ($549 billion), Social Security ($581 billion), or Medicare and Medicaid ($561 billion) last year. In comparison the Iraq war has cost close to 590 billion so far. Yes, I am upset——-850 billion dollars worth. And do not propagate that lie that it was Bush’s economic plan. Bush’s plan did not help any, but 162 billion deficit is a far cry from 850 billion

  60. Oh, good grief….that doesn’t even come close.
” watched the show last night, the sixth and you kept asking name one thing Obama took from Ayers. Let me answer that. Strong arm tactics and intimidation. HE TAUGHT ACORN HOW TO USE IT.”
Puuuullllllleeeeeeeaaaaaasssssseeeee, put the pills away and don’t drink in the morning.

“He WAS also THERE LAWYER. $850 billion. Primarily because of Fannie Mae and Freedie Mac, owned and operated by ACORN,the Black Caucus, Barney Frank,Dood and approximately $136,000 contribution to Obama.”…….you need some major help….

Do you really believe this? What possible resource provides you with this quality bull…t It is utterly preposturous. You are going to have to prove this wopper. LOL

  61. Otis Whites,

You have only to look at the financial crisis to see what McCain took away from the Keating Five scandal.

You have only too look at these sad, desparate smear tactics to see what McCain took away from the smears against his military service and his family used by Bush campaign in 2000.

From Bush’s speech on the “ownership society” in 2002 :

. “One of the programs is designed to help deserving families who have bad credit histories to qualify for homeownership loans.

And then there’s my friend Kirbyjon Caldwell. He not only provides counseling and job training, he actually decided to encourage a development of homes in the Houston area. People — low-income people are going to be able to more afford a home in Texas because of Kirbyjon’s vision and work

The other thing Kirbyjon told me, which I really appreciate, is you don’t have to have a lousy home for first-time home buyers. If you put your mind to it, the first-time home buyer, the low-income home buyer can have just as nice a house as anybody else.”

It sounds like Sarah Palin summed up YOUR problem with Obama…..

    “He’s NOT like us.”

  62. Alan,
2 questions…..What color is the sky in your world??…and…what year did you die?….i know we all get old, but, everytime i see you i think…”Skeletor” your plastic surgeon should give you your money back…..anyway….besides having opposite views on every issue with you,I do appreciate your sense of humor…I love reading your responses to hate mail..and you do have some funny comebacks on t.v……..your still in La-La Land and you annoy me every night…..but you are funny
