Since when did disagreeing with the policies of a political group become treasonous? This is the unfortunate by-product of the civil-liberty grabbing Bush administration. It and people like your television partner have made it socially acceptable (in moronic circles) to be virulently opposed to voices outside of the “conservative” camp.
I must admit to only infrequently watching the Hannity and Colmes show. I am able to listen to his ridiculously closed-minded opinions and lies that he spews (always a good idea to keep an eye on the other side) but your role seems to be that of a neutered puppy. Hannity so dominates the program that I truly wonder why you are there. The nut-jobs who regularly listen to Hannity are never going to understand what you are trying to say in the midst of all their hysterical ranting. Alan, and other liberals, please understand that conservatives like myself can (and desire to) have a real discussion of issues without the name calling and hatred that these knuckleheads have spewed above. It makes me sickened and embarrased when these jackasses call themselves conservative because it makes the rest of us look bad (guilt by association does work both ways). So understand that when I ask this question – do the improved tracking numbers for Obama include the illegal registering of 105% of the population of Indianapolis and the Dallas Cowboys being registered by ACORN in Vegas? Even though Obama no longer works with ACORN, he is going to be attached based off his prior association the same way Cheney was bound to Halliburton when the got no-bid contracts for Iraq. I believe neither Cheney nor Obama had direct hands on with the situations, but both situations are equally as wrong and unethical. All I ask is that we hold both sides to the same standard. Just as with the current economic situation, not only should the golden parachute CEOs be in jail right now, but they should be cellmates with the members of Congress who betrayed the trust of the American people, for they broke the law as well. And not the Club Fed prison, Shawshank with Bogs Diamond and the other ’sisters’ lurking in the dark waiting to pray on them. Do to them what they did to us. I believe it is called KARMA. And I am through.

I acutally feel bad for these idiots, they really believe that the GOP is the party for them. Well let’s see what has the GOP done for these less than wealthy followers – a woman’s right to choose is still in tact; still no prayer in school; no healthcare; unemployment rising; economy in the tank; civil unions and gay marriage being recognized in more and more states; payroll taxes still high; medicade and medicare benefits falling; a never ending war, but, here’s what must keep them coming back for more; the richest Americans are getting huge tax breaks and the corporations are running wild which means any day now, that wealth will trickle down to the trailer park…any day now….any day.

I am a registered Republican, but that does not mean I always vote Republican. I don’t wear wife beaters and neither does my husband. Don’t like NASCAR (but not everybody who likes NASCAR is Republican either)and I occassionally like a Budweiser or a martini or a glass of wine. Oh and I don’t live in a trailer. Therefore I am not trailer trash. How convenient that all Republicans are trailer trash. I was raised Catholic, I believe in GOD but not religion, but that’s because of the way humans interpret religion. Humans have changed what GOD intended for us. When I was young, we said the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer every morning before school. It has not damaged me in any way, shape or form. You my friend have just shown your true colors. If you would do some real research, you would see that the Economic situation that we are in now because of all the bad mortgages, started back with Jimmy Carter (Democrat) and Bill Clinton (Democrat). Oh and I also believe that let’s see Barney Frank, Chris Todd, Barrack Obama and how many other Democrats received money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Not all Democrats are crooked but neither are all Republicans. That’s the problem right there….let’s work to make America and American’s lives better. Stop the party rhetoric and get down to business.
