Al-Qaeda Endorses McCain
The Washington Post reports:
“Al-Qaeda will have to support McCain in the coming election,” said a commentary posted Monday on the extremist Web site al-Hesbah, which is closely linked to the terrorist group. It said the Arizona Republican would continue the “failing march of his predecessor,” President Bush.
So why would the terrorists prefer McCain? Quite simply, they think another Republican presidency would help their cause:
In language that was by turns mocking and ominous, the newest posting credited al-Qaeda with having lured Washington into a trap that had “exhausted its resources and bankrupted its economy.” It further suggested that a terrorist strike might swing the election to McCain and guarantee an expansion of U.S. military commitments in the Islamic world.
“It will push the Americans deliberately to vote for McCain so that he takes revenge for them against al-Qaeda,” said the posting, attributed to Muhammad Haafid, a longtime contributor to the password-protected site. “Al-Qaeda then will succeed in exhausting America.”
Can you imagine how the Right Wing would react if terrorists had said this about Obama instead of McCain?

Personally, I wouldn’t trust anything Al-Qaeda says or does, whether they “endorsed” Obama OR McCain. After all, they know they are very much hated by the American people. Perhaps they are using “reverse psychology” because they actually would prefer a presidency where a man with less military experience is in office?
We will never know why Al-Qaeda says or does what they do. I wouldn’t trust them, no matter what.

“Would you vote for a man endorsed by our enemies?”
And how many times did we hear that?
But now the shoe’s on the other foot, and in all likelihood McCain WOULD continue the “failing march” into economic insolvency, and he’d do it the same way as Bush, by surrounding himself with bumbling nitwits, subversives, and thugs.

So is Colmes going to ever bring this up on Hannity & Colmes, or that youtube video of the racist McCain supporters, or Palin’s husbands comments about his hatred for America?
I wish he’d just say screw Fox and go to MSNBC so we could have a better counter to Bill Oreilly & gang who spend weeks on Code Pink dressing up as nuns and insulting a church but spends 40 seconds on a conservative shooting up a unitarian church because he “hates liberal values” (& only because copies of Billos book was found at his place)

Alan: “Can you imagine how the Right Wing would react if terrorists had said this about Obama instead of McCain?”
Oh, but instead, they will view this as, “What?! Liberals visit Muslim extremist Web sites?! Is that anti-American or what?” and they’ll IGNORE the inconvenient truth that the Republicans are playing EXACTLY into al Quaeda’s hands.
Whatever happened to, “There’s nothing to fear but fear itself?”
Let’s screw our heads on straight, turn off the darn TV, and figure out what we can do to be better Americans for a united, smarter, forward-thinking country.

Alan,
I never thought I’d say this but, honestly, Alan; I put more faith in your “spin” than that of al-Qaeda’s.
Those that take al-Qaeda’s words at face value are dumber than the dumb.
October 22nd, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Yeah,
But you guys got the vapors when someone from Hamas said that he endorsed Obama.
That’s the only reason anybody cares.
Sarah’s right.
October 22nd, 2008 at 6:42 pm
Sarah,
If you think what Obama is proposing is forwarding-thinking why is Obama always pointing to the economy of the 90’s under Bill Clinton?
October 22nd, 2008 at 6:42 pm
Of course al-Quada support McCain- he has proven to be a steadfast enemy of our Vets in every vote he ever had to take on their benefits. He composed anti-American propaganda for his Vietcong buddies and his incompetence as a pilot led directly to the destruction of 5 US air force planes and possibly the deaths of 134 of his colleagues.
McCain is often touting his military experience as a qualification for the Presidency – but he was a lousy solider – bottom of his class in military school, crashing planes, getting captured – he is the military equivalent of George Bush – a son of military privilege who got where he did in the military because of his father. We don’t need another trust fund idiot in the White House.

Bernie: “Sarah, If you think what Obama is proposing is forwarding-thinking why is Obama always pointing to the economy of the 90’s under Bill Clinton?”
Because that’s the last time the economy was improving. Of course, the Republican-sponsored NAFTA hadn’t had a chance to do its job yet. And the stock market was still snorting dot-coms like the expensive habit it was. And predatory lending was just getting started.
But hey, we still seemed to do OK, despite the conservative influence during the majority of Clinton’s terms in office. Frankly, the reason he did such a great job, overall, was because he did reach across the aisle, but was strong enough to slap the Repubs down when they needed it.
(No one, mind you, was more uncomfortable than I, when it became clear that Clinton was actually not sucking as a President.)
Frankly, it was a prior conservative’s influence– GWH Bush’s — in the guise of “read my lips now– here’s your new taxes,” that helped bring down Reagan’s deficit and failed trickle-down policies that Republicans cling to even in this modern day and age.
Heck, why not learn from the successes of history, to move forward in the future? Ever thought of it?
Maybe we wouldn’t be in foreclosure-city right now, if we had.

It is not fair that the republicans have Al-Qaeda, Joe the Dumber and Jesus on their side.
October 22nd, 2008 at 11:53 pm
Alan hired them to endorse to change the subject of Obama being a crack head
October 23rd, 2008 at 5:15 am
Our trusted source is now Al-Qaeda? The Democrats are the demise of this once great country. If Obama was independent and everything we are talking about him now he would be ruined. Let’s just stick with a party for party sake. If Obama was more balanced and not extreme he would win hands down by a landslide, people are catching wind of the real change and its scary.
October 23rd, 2008 at 10:00 am
Again, how is this different than what the most partisan liberals say about conservatives?
If the Republicans put country ahead of party, they would have voted against Bush, when he was selling the country to his Saudi buddies, and trying to turn the ports over to the UAE, (whose royal family go hunting with bin Ladin), and dragging the country down the tubes.
If McCain put country first, he would not have made such a cynical choice as Sarah Palin.

I believe al Quaeda would “support” McCain. That would be as effective as the Spanish Train Bombing. I can see the tide turning to Obama now! This gives new support for Biden’s generated test after Obama takes office.

You mean like:
Bush and 9/11, Clinton and the 93 WTC bombing , and Reagan in 81 and the Pakistani airline hijackers who picked out three American passengers on board , labeled them “CIA agents, and threatened to shoot them first, then blow up the plane? Or when the Revolutionary Cells (RZ) terrorist group bombed the U.S. Army 5th Corps HQ in Frankfurt?…..and on and on.

Matt: “The Democrats are the demise of this once great country.”
How do you figure, since Republicans have held most of the power for the last 14 years?
October 23rd, 2008 at 2:17 pm
What a unique liberal spin by Al Quaeda! The dirt bags learn fast don’t they? Of course we know who they truely support. THE ANTICHRIST OF AMERICA, THE MUSSLIM HIMSELF…BARACK HEUSSEIN OBAMA! A MARXIST, A SOCIALIST, AND THE THIRD BIGGEST BLACK RACIST PIG ON THE PLANET NEXT TO SHARPTON AND JACKSON.
October 23rd, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Actually, the True Bible Society said that McCain is the anti Christ:
Biblical scholars in Colorado Springs have uncovered startling evidence that Senator John McCain may be the Antichrist. Their conclusions, while highly controversial, may have a dramatic impact on the 2008 elections, since many Bible-believing Christians have already expressed doubts about McCain’s fealty to Christianity.
The analysis was conducted by the respected True Bible Society, and it will be published next month in the End Times Journal.
“What started us looking at this issue is the fact that Senator McCain has declared his intention to maintain US forces in Iraq for a hundred years,” said David Jenkins, a leading Biblical scholar. “That means that McCain wants to control Babylon for at least a century.” According to many scholars of the Book of Revelation, the Antichrist will try to rebuild the ancient city of Babylon in order to use it as a springboard for an international effort at world domination. Ultimately, the Antichrist will marshal forces from Babylon to spark a showdown with Christian and Jewish-led forces in the battle of Armageddon.

You forgot space alien from the planet Regelus V11, and homosexual who had a gay affair with Osama bin Ladin.
Besides, The Republicans did EVERYTHING that bin Ladin wanted, mostly got us into the same endless money pit war that we got the Soviets into….just like bin Ladin said.
He played Bush/Cheney for suckers, and WE are the ones who have to suffer for it.

bin Laden? OldLefty, everyone knows the true enemy was Saddam Hussein! Mission Accomplished!
October 23rd, 2008 at 4:26 pm
You mean Obama had the gay affair with Saddam Hussein??
October 23rd, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Old Lefty…really…McCain the anti-Christ? You can’t have it both ways. First your side says he’s so dumb and now he’s that smart to con the world? And The True Bible Society…that’s your source? Really mainline group.
October 23rd, 2008 at 4:56 pm
Lefty…read Epicenter by Joel Rosenberg re: Armageddon…better yet, read Ezequiel 38-39 for the real deal. McCain meets non of the requirements for the anti-Christ. The Bible says that NO ONE knows who it will be…that means not the Bible Society.

OldLefty: “You mean Obama had the gay affair with Saddam Hussein??”
No, no, no. Obama wanted to do the HAIR of Saddam (Sidney) Hussein. Which of course MEANS he must be gay, since he dresses so nice and, you know, has manners and seems to talk so good.
One of the old-fart Republican wives around here told my mom the other day, “But can you imagine? A black First Lady?”
My mother and I agreed later, “Can you imagine, ‘The Other Woman’ as First Lady?”
