Calling Joseph McCarthy!
This eerily reeks of some kind of House Un-American Activities Committee. We’ve already dissected Michele Bachmann’s inane comments about investigating who’s a good American and who isn’t. Think Progress notes the frequency with which the term “anti-American” is tossed around, and how it’s hurled by conservatives at liberals.
The latest purveyors of this incendiary and very un-American rhetoric are Congressman Ted Poe of Texas and Congresswoman Virginia Foxx of North Carolina.
Poe, in his second term from the Houston suburbs, has targeted Columbia University and Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Marilyn Mackel – as well as Democratic-written energy bills.
“As a former judge, it appears to me the abuse of power by this anti-American military, peacenik judge is the perfect example of her having a terminal case of black robe disease, a disease some judges get when their personal politics cloud their judgment,” Poe said on March 10, after Mackel reportedly told a 17-year-old she opposed the Iraq war while denying his request for early enlistment into the Marine Corps.
“Columbia University clearly shows a pattern of being anti-American by promoting forums to warmongers and by preventing the U.S. military ROTC program on campus. Maybe the university should just relocate to Tehran. And in the meantime, the U.S. taxpayers have no business sending American money to the University of Hate,” he said on the day in September 2007 that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke at Columbia.
On September 17, Foxx was peeved that Democrats voted against oil drilling off the coasts at in ANWR.
“We had a great opportunity to pass a bill yesterday that would have created more American energy, but my colleagues on the other side don’t seem to be in favor of more American energy. They seem to be anti-American energy, just as many other things that they support seem to be anti-American power and anti-American control,” Foxx said.
Below, Foxx says, “We’re gonna find out who are the people who are pro-American energy and who are the people who are anti-American energy. The public deserves to know and we’re gonna find some ways to show them.”

John McCain and Sarah Palan and the Republicians are running a racist and gutter filled campaign. It simular to the presidental campaign of 1928 against Al Smith and the 1960 campaign against JFK because they were catholic. They are anti Union, anti working,anti poor class, anti equal pay for women, against minimum wage, anti black and Hispanic.
One thing Republicans are for is pro war, pro tax cuts for the rich, pro profit for the rich, pro low wages for the working man, pro fear to keep Americans afraid of terrorst and etc. etc.

Be careful around Sean. I’m listening to him on the radio and he’s sounding crazier and crazier as we get closer to election day.
I didn’t know he was this aggressive and extreme. I know I shouldn’t say this but I believe his tone,is going to influence some people to do something to Obama.

Great Communicator Colmes – This is outrageous! How dare these people accuse our fine party leaders of Anti-American activity and belief. We all know that this great country was founded on the principle that the Government’s role is to protect it’s citizen’s rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. How can our inane opponents not understand that our support of abortion rights is actually pro-life; that our position on mandatory participation in social programs, like health care, welfare, and social security and opposition to school choice are really pro-liberty as they limit a person’s choices; and that redistributing wealth from those who work to those who don’t will make everyone happy. Wait a minute, maybe we really are against these principles and are anti-American. Perhaps these comments are perfectly justified. We need to implement the Fairness Doctrine immediately to stop these comments! They are clearly unfair and who cares what the Declaration of Independence says anyway.

If your television declares John McCain the president elect on the evening of November 4th, your television will be lying. You should immediately pick up your pre-packed bags and head straight to the White House in Washington, D.C., which we will surround and shut down until this attempt at a third illegitimate presidency is reversed.
A McCain “win” will not be illegitimate because I disagree with his policies, but because he himself has rendered it illegitimate. He and his campaign and allied supporters have sought to illegally remove hundreds of thousands of voters from the rolls, fraudulently registered people as Republicans without their knowledge and against their will, obstructed voter registration drives, falsely warned students against voting where they attend school, falsely accused community groups of voter registration fraud, falsely alleged the widespread existence of voter fraud, and encouraged supporters to falsely believe McCain’s opponent is a foreign terrorist through speeches, recorded phone messages, and flyers. Already in early voting in a number of states there have been cases of votes on electronic machines visibly flipping to McCain or McKinney when intended for Obama. We will see McCain supporters on November 4th challenging people’s right to vote, seeking to force people to vote on provisional ballots, and seeking to have provisional ballots discarded. And we will see electronic vote counts wildly out of step with the most recent polls, although not with exit polls — which we will be denied any access to unless they have been “adjusted” to match the official counts.
Inciting your supporters to violence with racist and religious lies about your opponent, effectively alleging treason on absolutely no basis, should be enough, alone, to disqualify a campaign for the presidency of the United States. Working to block voters from registering…

Barack Heussein Obama is a Muslim and left wing radical who sought out other radicals like Bill Ayers. He needed a cover for his true Muslim faith and found it in the unchristian radical teachings of Rev. Wright. He deliberately sought out people and funded organisations that fit his radical left wing ideology of which ACORN is part. He is a socialist bent on destroying the American capitalist society. He is a racist taking advantage of the lower class and minorities, as does Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson, and blaming the white middle class, and rich for their own financial misfortunes, low wages, or joblessness. His socialist tax plans to spread the wealth will increase the tax burden of everyone, and create an inflationary cost of living on the very ones he professes to help. Let’s not forget that the Democratic Party caused this financial meltdown. Nancy, Barney, and Harry put this ball into motion, and continued it with a major Wall Street bailout of over a trillion at a time when our nation is already overcome by national debt. We are broke and this disquised Muslim has no ability to fix it. The Democratic liberals have created an atmosphere ripe for a socialist dictatorship.
