It’s a Hoax. But Why? And How About Them Right-Wing Bloggers?
Why would a 20-year-old McCain campaign volunteer claim she was attacked by a black male Obama supporter who carved a “B” on her face, when it wasn’t true?
Ashley Todd, 20, of College Station, Tex., confessed to lying, Pittsburgh police said Friday, and she will be charged with filing a false report, a misdemeanor.
But questions remain about why Todd lied, and even she doesn’t seem to know how she received the markings on her face.
“She told lie after lie, and the situation compounded to where we are right now,” Lt. Kevin Kraus, head of major crimes for the Pittsburgh police, said Friday.
She took a year off from Binn College to work on the McCain campaign through the College Republicans National Committee. By the time she was done she had claimed a black man not only carved the “B” in her face, but had stolen $60 and groped her. When she admitted lying, she said she was driving alone, looked in the mirror and saw the “B” on her face, but didn’t know how it got there. Let’s hope this woman gets whatever help she needs.
And let’s hope some of the right-wing bloggers who jumped on this before all the facts were known because it fit their agendas learn a lesson in decency. At Free Republic, when the story fist hit, they began talking about the importance of lock and load. Josh Painter says this happened because Obama told his supporters to “get in their face” and heralds an “Obama Thugocracy.” And a McCain aide told KDKA that the “B” stood for “Barack” before the facts were known. TPM has that one, with the link to KDKA’s website and the graphs that have since been removed from their original story on this.

You know I first heard this story yesterday on Bill O’Rielly’s Show. And you know what? Right off he stated that he was skeptical of this story. Wow, a show that is fair and admits when something is not right.
Gee you think someone will now show Obamas voting percentage with Bush as compared to McCains.
Will someone now report on the natural gas pipeline that Sarah Palin negociated in Alaska to get us natural gas. Or how about the deal she redid with the oil companies increasing her states revenues from state land. And then show us anything of substance that Obama has done. I know he was a community organizer, so what got done? He spent 50 million dollars with Bill Ayers and Acorn on education. I can’t wait to hear how many books were bought, how many computers were put in classrooms. I know something good came of that money. So tell me.
We know about this nasty attempt by a McCain supporter and she should be prosecuted. Now lets hear more about the Obama supporters who are pulling their votes out of the Ohio early voting after it was found that people from other states were there working for Obama and registered fraudulently and voted illegaly. Why are they letting them withdraw them with no charges?

Personally Dennis…the pipeline hasn’t been built and is likely not to be built…the oil pipeline up there has most of it’s oil sold to Japan…the people who voted illegally should be prosecuted…I’m sure you think Obama put them up to it, right? And by the way, O’Reilly and Colmes are the only two on Fox that are remotely fair minded…I am amazed that Hannity didn’t trumpet this all afternoon except I think it had already been debunked by then

As for me, I will vote for pro-God agenda: pro life and traditional marriage & family. Many seniors such as those so-called professors, politicians, negative media people have turned to the opposite sides such as homosexuality, gay marriages, killing babies/abortion, greed, envy (of Sarah Palin because she is pretty and intelligent) and smear tactics for false fame. The most important thing in this election is not the economy; it’s upholding God’s commands to stop abortion and the rests will return back to normal because God will reward us. I do not want to turn the USA to USSA. If B Hussein Obama gets elected by blinded people that’s the end of the American empire. How can Americans be so stupid to favor a terrorists leaning person who does not embrace the American values? B Hussein Obama is a good actor personifying Islamic ideals. Your right Obama shouldn’t be held accountable for his supporters. But why is McCain supposed to be responsible for someone reportedly yelling kill him at a rally. Somehow that wasn’t on the audio and the secret service could not confirm it. Seems the only person hearing it was the reporter who broke the story. But it was reported anyway.

As far as I know, there is no mention of abortion in the entire bible – just a couple of contradictory ‘clues’; that he had known you since you were still in the womb and that life began with the first breath. On the other hand, it does state very clearly and unequivocally that you should kill your cheeky children, anyone who wears two different fabrics at the same time, any farmer who plants more than one crop in the same field and rape victims who don’t cry out loudly enough.

Wonder why independents and “Reagan Democrats” are fleeing the Republican party in overwhelming numbers? No, the worst person in the world is John McCain. Not for his bad judgement in selecting the feeble-minded Palin, but for his very public u-turns on just about everything he believed in. We all know John McCain from the past. He was a worthy opponent – we may not have agreed with him but he was at least civil and retained a modicum of credibility. But his re-invention at the hands of the controllers of his election campaign has shown him to be a weak man. He doesn’t have the courage of his convictions or he has lost steam after all these years. Whatever the reason, he will live the rest of his life regretting the decisions he made this year. Instead of him being remembered as the maverick – as his own man – he will be remembered as an easily-manipulated failure, a grouchy racist and a despicable liar. The innuendoes have been refuted over and over again but folks on your side either ignore the refutations or bring up nuances.
Your side: Well Obama’s relationship to Ayers has not been explained.
Our side: Yes it has. They served on a committee. Big deal. Obama had nothing to with committee appointments. And also he was only 8-years-old when Ayers committed his crimes.

Oh really? So McCain hasn’t been referring to distribution of wealth (Which the US has been doing for 30+ years in one sense or another) under Obama’s plan as ’socialism’ ? When just 2 years ago McCain stated that his position was that the rich could and should pay more in taxes (Michigan).
McCain is at best an out of touch man with a bad memory who conveniently switches to diametrically opposing viewpoints when the polls suit it.
At worst he is a fundamentalist Republiclone of Bush Sr. and Bush 2.0 – voting for 80% of Bush’s tax policies over the last 8 years seems to back that up…
