Sarah Palin Champions Free Speech… But Not For The Press
This is ridiculous. Palin says that reporters who dare to question her anti-Obama smears are threatening the First Amendment. In reality, of course, they are simply exercising it.
ABCNews.com reports:
Palin told WMAL-AM that her criticism of Obama’s associations, like those with 1960s radical Bill Ayers and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, should not be considered negative attacks. Rather, for reporters or columnists to suggest that it is going negative may constitute an attack that threatens a candidate’s free speech rights under the Constitution, Palin said.
“If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations,” Palin told host Chris Plante, “then I don’t know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media.”
So funny how conservatives cite the Fairness Doctrine as a first amendment infringement on intellectual terrorists like Limbaugh and O’Reilly, but reporters asking questions is ALSO a first amendment violation against the conservatives they’re interviewing.

All caps is the internet forum equivalent of green ink – no matter what is being said you cant help but think the writer is some aluminum foil-hat wearing nut foaming at the mouth and steaming out their ears, scribbling their attacks on those who are out to get them in a dark damp basement.

Well this is hardly a surprise. If you say anything critical of a Republican you obviously have a liberal bias. And if you criticize a Republican when she’s criticizing a Democrat you’re obviously a godless commie trying to destroy America and the Constitution, along with the right to free speech.

I am quite a bit more confident in Obama’s protecting our Constitutional rights than I am in the way Repubs have been doing it for the last few years. Wiretap anyone? Suppression of the FOIA? Yeah, I know who’s a threat to my Constitutional rights: McCain.

SARAH PALIN IS A FROZEN TREAT THAT’S RAPIDLY MELTING AWAY IN THE SPOTLIGHT. SARAH PALIN WOULD NEVER ADJUST TO THE RESTRICTIONS AND RULES OF THE VICE PRESIDENCY. SHE WANTS POWER (AND MONEY) WITHOUT LIMITATIONS AND TO DO HER OWN THING WHEN SHE WANTS TO AND HOW SHE WANTS TO. SARAH PALIN HAS HER OWN AGENDA, AND I DON’T THINK MCCAIN IS IN IT.
