Joe Lieberman Fears For The Country If Democrats Have 60 Senators
That would be a fillibuster-proof majority. But echoing and affirming a question from Glenn Beck, Al Gore’s one-time running mate says the suvival of America could be at stake:
BECK: But do you agree that Senator Hatch said to me that if we don’t at least have the firewall of the filibuster in the Senate that in many ways America will not survive?
LIEBERMAN: Well, I hope it’s not like that, but I fear.

If Obama has complete control, lets just move him to the status of dictator.

He has a point; they could go crazy and try to do too many things at once or try to drastically change the direction of the country. However, having said that, I feel Obama will put a controlling hand on such a majority an steady their desires…I hope.

At the height of the financial collapse two or three weeks ago, Beck was advising his audience to go out and buy guns to protect themselves from the coming economic/social collapse. He was explaining how America would soon not look anything like what we were used to.
It sounded to me like he’d stayed up too late the night before watching The Omega Man and he was only imagining himself as the Charlton Heston character.
I was only half listening to Beck which is really the only way to listen to Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, et al. They make good background noise.
It’s worth pointing out that (according to Wikipedia anyway) Beck is another drunk/dopehead who reformed and found religion only to now feel the need to beat his new found “wisdom” into the rest of us. His is a path well traveled.
I listened to the Lieberman interview this morning and quickly came to the conclusion that the cons are only confusing “America” with “Neocon/Fundamentalist Republican America”. While it’s true that “Republican America” may not survive a Democratic super majority, “America” will survive nicely whatever happens.

Dear Alan
If Democratic party get 60 seat in senet, they have majority in the house and if sen Obama become our president. Then guess what? The country will be Democrats problem. may be they can fix things. Two wars, economey down. lending capacity of Bank is colapsing, third world aquering NB. Thank goodness that I am old and Italion from inner city.
40% Americans will start give me, give me. All the ball plyes and hollywood stars will be badly taxed. Now the Republican party will have brething room. Now it is the Democratic Party’s responcibility.
I know I should not be sarcastic but I am scared. We are loosing our check and Balence from our Constitution. If we get Universal health care. Where we will get the money? If it become mandetory for business then companey will close.

You are right on the money Anoynomouse! Glenn Beck often talks of not sleeping well at night…hmmmm could it possibly be guilt from the lies and smears he rambles about on his radio show? He is another lazy, high paid smear merchant on the airwaves.

I think Lieberman is bad luck – he already had a bad name with me because of the witch hunt he ran in ‘93.
Rampant censorship is bad Joe.
I think many people of my generation remember those years – every ticket he’s been associated with outside of Connecticut since that time has failed.

We already have a dictator running the U.S. If your prediction is correct and he “becomes a dictator”, then it will be a continuation of the Bush regime.
