Sr. McCain Campaign Adviser Refuses To Say Palin Helped Ticket
Steve Schmidt hemmed and hawed when asked if Palin helped the campaign during a gaggle aboard the McCain plane on its way to Phoenix:
QUESTION: And the pick of Palin for you guys? Are you happy with that?
Schmidt: You know, we’ll uh, I’m not going to do, there’ll be time for all the post mortems in the race.
Q: But are you happy with what she’s done for the ticket?
Schmidt: I think that, you know, I think we’ll know in a few hours what the results are, you know and I, there’ll be a time for all the post mortem parts of it. That’s not this afternoon before the polls close.

Dear Alan
I Just came back by voting. My husband voted for Obama and I pulled Straight Republican liver. I knew that Sen Obama will win PA becuse of Philadelphia. I remember the election of Wilson Good. Also Joe Bidon’s speech helped a lot with Italion Catolic. Mccane can not expect to win PA or Illinoi or Michigun.
Tell Sean “Black Panther” is s part of our controversial history of Philadelphia. Yes,they are controvarsial just like Rev. Wright. We are city people we take good with bad.
If Sen Obama wins then Philly will go through a celibration like our “World cup wining.” I also belive MLK will Tap dance with Fred Astair in haven. I am very divide. Part of me support Sen Obama for his race.

Lopa-
The problem is that what once was done to Blacks, the black panthers are using in the same way. Isn’t it time to just want a fair election for everybody.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
‘Twas fair Derrick. Maybe the black voters were voting for Obama’s white half.

Why would anybody be for voter intimidation/ supression? Is that how Dem’s plan on uniting the country?
November 4th, 2008 at 10:24 pm
Nobody was trying to intimidate anyone as far as I know. Black Panther party was not allowed within 100 feet of any polling place with any kind of political outfitting, and besides, the polls are private once you’re in at the booth. Nobody knows what you voted unless you told them.
You know what would be worse, trying to negate a large portion of a state’s legal Democratic voters, starting a paper trail on a red herring in preparation for legislation on non-existent voter fraud, and so forth.
Those actually happened in this election though.

November 5th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Palin was given bad taking points by Sean Hannity. And he is responsible for the GOP lost; throw him under the bus!!!!!, please!!
November 5th, 2008 at 9:13 am
2 Black panthers stood in front of the door to one of the polling stations. One Armed with a nightstick. A voter called the police, armed man was escorted away.
November 5th, 2008 at 9:40 am
I, for one, will be very curious what happens with Palin. I sure hope the Republican party recognizes that she lost the election for them.
I could have supported McCain – Palin took McCain out of the equation for me, and I know I am not alone.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:25 am
Derrick,
There is pretty much nothing left of the Black Panthers.
My guess is these guys are either wackos OR phony plants as in COINTELPRO, to give people like Rush Limbaugh something to sooth his listeners with.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:43 am
Over on Freep, they are thinking Palin will end up getting Ted Stevens’s senatorial seat.
She and McCain could be working together after all :^O
November 5th, 2008 at 10:47 am
I watched the tape on you tube. The interview with the voter, and one of the men that was intimidating, but he refused to answer any questions. My guess would be wacko’s, as you suggest. As I have said many times, wackos come in all stripes and polictical persuasion. My original post, was in response to Lupa, who said that what goes around comes around. My point was that it was wrong when the KKK was doing it, and it is wrong now. They were wearing Black panther t-shirts, so their organization gets the blame.

I heard she would have to resign the governship FIRST, AND get elected within 90 days. No..?

Derrick
How do you know they were real, and not paid? They did that a lot in COINTELPRO….paid people to throw a brick, or otherwise disrupt a peaceful event.
It’s an old trick.
Look at B girl. She was just more amaturish.

Old Lefty-
Thank you, never say die! right, And the good fight goes on. You won, but cannot say who ever it was was a bad person doing bad things. I don’t know for sure who they were any more than you do. But I know what is right and what is wrong. And that was wrong. And for somebody to say thats okay, because it is pay back for another wrong, just makes it more the worse.
