To The Bush Administration
And to those who’ve played the politics of fear. Who used 9/11, when this nation was at its most vulnerable, to mislead us into a war that continues to tear families apart to this day. To all who have played the politics of fear, by using wedge issues like gays and abortion to scare people into thinking your way was better. To those who chose to tear down Barack Obama rather than tell us how you’d do things better and differently, and did so by spreading lies about a good man. To those who were able to convince the most needy Americans that your policies were the ones that were going to make them safe and secure, but instead sat and watched while the policies you championed led to economic implosion. No names necessary. You know who you are.

You should have the video “this is the end of the world as we know it”. This is the end of capitalist, and europe will teach us their socalist ways. If you are thinking about starting a business DON’T… its not worth it anymore. So for the first time in my life i’m “NOT proud of my country”.

Doomed man, What a Loser.
November 5th, 2008 at 1:45 am
Doomed Man – say what you will, but currently this country is in almost as bad a shape as it has ever been in. The American people did their duty, and elected someone who they think can fix it. Regardless of who won, don’t forget you’re supposed to be an American, and proud of your country, and proud of the democratic process that allows the People of this country to make their choice in leadership. The People have spoken, and the people of this country, and their freedoms, choices, and representation is what America is all about.
I hated Bush, but even through all of his idiotic (as I perceived them) actions I was, and will always be, proud to be American.
November 5th, 2008 at 2:01 am
now, America is ready to lead the world.
November 5th, 2008 at 2:12 am
“This is the end of capitalist…”
Show me in the Constitution where it says anything about capitalism.
November 5th, 2008 at 2:20 am
That’s not fair to bait the idiots RC. The concept hadn’t even been invented yet.

IT IS A GREAT NIGHT IN AMERICA!!! I did feel some sadness for McCain tonight. But the Republicans needed to hit bottom with the hate, dishonesty, bigotry, disrespect, and violence. I just hope they did! Sarah, forget what I said about the Doles and dignity. She ended up picking the road most traveled by these new age Republicans and look what happened. It’s time for a Republican rebirth! What a delight to see all the races together tonight in Chicago, celebrating. Imagine all the races, living life in peace!
November 5th, 2008 at 3:33 am
Wow. I was impressed, touched and even inspired by the President-elect’s speech tonight. I was hopeful for the positive things his victory means even though I disagree with him on most policy issues. Then I came here and read this. So much for moving past partisan rancor.
November 5th, 2008 at 3:48 am
Perhaps now all you gun toting redneck evangelicals can move to Wasilla Alaska to breed with with your newly debauched leader.
November 5th, 2008 at 7:22 am
While I’m a conservative Obama has my full respect for what he has archived thus far in life. I hope I can say the same thing in four years.
Alan,
Is this your way of helping Obama unify the nation as he has promised to do?
Frank,
May-be you could help the nation unify if you could get past your hate.
November 5th, 2008 at 8:28 am
Awww man! It was great to play this video while I read Alan’s comment.
HALLELUJAH!
PEACE OUT, W!!!!!
November 5th, 2008 at 8:42 am
And let’s let “doomed man” here sit in a corner and cry while the rest of us get to work repairing the last 8 years of lies, negligence, and mismanagement.
And Capitalism isn’t going anywhere, you nut.
November 5th, 2008 at 8:44 am
First of all congratulations to Barack Obama. I didn’t vote for the man for certain reasons but i think he is a good guy and wants what is best for the country. I would have preferred Romney over McCain. My father-in-law is a small bussiness owner and i really feel for him right now. I wish Obama would rethink about his tax policy but i know that is not going to happen. My father-in-law wants to open two new locations for his company to produce growth and job opportunities but will probably not be able to do it due to Obama’s policy. He has the money to do it but has decided to wait and see who was going to win this election. Of course his thinking was Obama which he was most definetetky correct. i wish Barrack would give even more breaks to small businesses. My father in law pays about 50 percent on taxes under Bush’s policy i would hate to add up the numbers under Obama’s plan. I am a college student married with three kids and am lucky to have financial help from my father in law to finish school. That might definitely be in jeopardy now. i dont mind working or providing for my family. It’s is an exciting day for the country with the election of our first black president. I know there is still racism but i appreciate those who put color aside and voted on their beliefs. I think Barack will be a good role model for the black community especially young men

Enjoy your night tonight with Sean. Libs rule! :)
November 5th, 2008 at 9:40 am
I’ve never been a huge supporter of Bush and I wont defend him now but as the circle of things always goes, here we are with a new president and I know it’s a good thing!
November 5th, 2008 at 10:09 am
Thanx for posting that quote Allen.
I admit I teared up during that speech, and that quote from Lincoln was typical of the image Obama displayed in his campaign.
Thanks for being here Allen, you have one of the top 5 sites on the web, but for the life of me I don’t know why you attract so many right wing wacks here. Why do they waste their time reading something they’re so averse to?
Do you think Hannity sends you the hits?
Maybe he thinks he’s doing you a favor.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:27 am
I meant to post the above reply to the previous entry that included the quote from Obama’s victory speech, but I like Allen’s thought’s in this posting to the Bush Admin too.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:33 am
They all know who they are, Alan. Regrettably (until now, at least) you have crossed paths with all of them. Rove has already backtracked a little. We’ll see if Mr Hannity does the same. We’ll see how much respect Barack Obama, who has run a stunningly effective and respectful campaign, gets now. This is a victory for common decency and for true, enduring change…
November 5th, 2008 at 10:41 am
Lord help us!!!! Were are going to need now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 5th, 2008 at 10:41 am
Yes we can.

November 5th, 2008 at 11:26 am
Enjoy the victory before reality sets in Alan. That should happen on or about January 21, 2009.
This is the reality!

Can I just say that I actually, reaaalllly like this song? I can remember when this song was “new”. That’s the funny thing about “time”, we don’t really notice it passing do we? Sitting here, it seems like only yesterday. Alan, why don’t you play that one also, that old Beatle’s song.? Did anyone notice that today’s music isn’t really something worthy of playing? Maybe I am getting old and can longer “relate”, but I think if you look at it objectively you’ll see I’m right about the culture. I’m not going to write anything derogatory about Barak, because before I pick up the stone I look at my own heart first. Notice I didn’t say sin, but heart. Sin is a condition of the heart, and all humans have this sinful condition, some of us recognize it, some of us choose not to. And if I might judge based on the movies and music of today, a lot are choosing not to. Anyway, congratulations on your victory. The festive atmosphere feels a lot like a sporting event. As Americans we should all be high fivin’. We elect our leaders, and that’s the best system going. Good morning, um cara, Craig, Sarah, old lefty, Jim from Jersey, and anyone I might else I might have left out.

The “stop obama express” has derailed. Everybody is safe ,exccept the DRIVER.

That’s too bad. It’s always a shame when someone loses faith in everything because they didn’t get the result they wanted. I suggest you look into moving to Canada. They have a very nice country. The rest of us Americans are going to move on with our lives and keep a close eye on the white house in hopes of a 180 degree shift from Bush.

Can we fix America?
Yes We Can!

In 4 years
November 5th, 2008 at 6:29 pm
Hey Alan.
Clear it up for me–has Obama kept his birth certificate hidden because he was born in Kenya. If you are not afraid please address this on your show.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
Why are Obama’s lips purple. Is this a drug thing?
November 5th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
Dear Alan
9/11 was more than politics of fear, if you are from NYC. They attacked our financial district My daughter was staying in 12th st and Avenue of Americus. When the plane hit the twin tower she was in midtown. Alan if I was 18 then I would have joined militory. X Mayor Juliani became our president. Event was more than desaster. It was war and we did not know who our enemey was.I wished Sen McCane was our president.
May be people were 8 years old should forgive and forget Osama Bin Ladin. I can not. Our president Bush kept us safe from Islamic Terrorist. I do thank him for it. He was as confused as us. He did not have experience of real attack in American soil. They attacked us first. Before that we did have peace for 8 years. Even Cold war was over.
1941 we were attacked by suside bomber from Japan. They attacked us first. Our Atom Bomb did stoped the WWII. I am not a war monger but we have to protect our land.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
I hate to say it———— the way Democrats treated our Elected president Bush. They called him terrorist, Hitler, war monger. Poor man. Same way conservative Republicans should treat President elect B.H.Obama. He also carry huge bagage. 55 million American voted for Sen McCane. 55 million crack in the ciling. I did not vote for Obama. Now I have to respect him but I do not have to like him like him.
We all forget the old saying “What goes around that is comes around.”
November 5th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
Alan-sounds like your starting right where you say the Bush Administration left off. I hope all of us can say that Obama did something good for the country in 4 years. Can’t you take this time to give some kind of credit to President Bush? Obama should get a fresh start like Bush didn’t. But your hateful fairwell to Bush just feeds the fire for people to treat Obama like you have treated Bush.
I hope the rest of us can rise above this even if you can’t respect the office of the Presidency.
November 6th, 2008 at 12:28 am
Smitty, Bush inherited a trade surplus, and a balanced budget. He got a better than ‘fresh’ start, and screwed the pooch. So let’s be perfectly fair here:
Bush got a $230B total trade surplus.
Oil:
Bush got it at: $28/barrel.
Bush leaves it at: $70/barrel with OPEC artificially limiting production to drive the price up
Gas:
Bush got it at: $1.75/gallon
Bush leaves it at: $3.20/gallon
National Debt:
Bush got it at: $5.6 Trillion
Bush leaves it at: $10.28 Trillion (HE DAMN NEAR DOUBLED A NATIONAL DEBT THAT HAD ACCRUED TO 5.6 TRILLION OVER 35 YEARS)
Job Market Growth:
Bush got it at: +2.45%
Bush leaves an average of: +.5% annually
Poverty Level Americans:
Bush got it at: 11.8%
Bush leaves it at: 12.5% and increasing by the day now with the economy crisis.
Unemployment Rate:
Bush got it at: 4%
Bush leaves it at: 6.3%
Trade Deficit:
Bush inherited: $39.6B and dropping
Bush leaves : $69.2B and rising
Budget:
Bush inherited: $118B surplus
Bush leaves: $407B deficit
Now that his 8 years of horrifying economic trends is coming to a close, I’m surprised there aren’t people dancing in the streets singing “ding dong the witch is dead”.
November 6th, 2008 at 6:25 am
Gas has gone down to $2.30 a gallon average as of this morning, but after OPECs cuts are felt, it might go up again.
November 6th, 2008 at 8:59 am
Jim from Jersy,
If you have not noticed, but Obama is proposing spending a trillion dollars already and talking about tax breaks for 95% of working Americans. Where is that money going to come from?
November 6th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
Jeff:
Probably from the end of the multi-billion dollar, illegal, waste of a war that’s going on over in Iraq for starters. Increased tax rates for Cap Gains and high class income, and hopefully a payback from the banks for this bail-out. Cutting the pay scale for members of Congress and his staff, and possibly by levying higher fees on carbon credits.
November 6th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Forgive with impunity….but, forget nothing.
November 6th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
Jim, that sounds good and all but what would you say about Obama’s plan to send more troops into Afganistan?
November 6th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
i loved it………………..
November 6th, 2008 at 7:35 pm
I cannot wait for the immediate rejection of George W. Bush. If I had my druthers, I would let him know that he’s ejected from the White House the people built for the people and by the People.
I would charge him with war crimes. He did not adequately protect us on 9-11.
He abused our financial sector along with some of Washingtons elite. I guess that they thought that years of excess and the money that they were playing with was their own and not someone elses. We worked damn hard for our money. And for eight years of people who are in office in the current administration have sunk the financial sector. I’m beyond pissed off!
Bush and company lied about the war particularly Iraq. I’m not even sure if I believe anything they tell me about Afghanistan either. I know I don’t.
I’m tired of receiving the shock treatment Bush and Company have given to the American People. I guess he knew we stopped listening to him a long time ago. I guess he was hoping John McCain could be elected and that the rest of population wouldn’t notice due to the rampant rise of drug use that is numbing the senses of all Kinds of Americans.
The office of President of the United States of America has been made a mockery by some Republicans. You’d think that they believe somehow that there way is better than anyone elses. Look at the state of our world now. Couldn’t Bush have asked for help when he needed it like anyone else before this happened? Such arrogance of a cartoonish jerk that cared more from himself than his people and was too selfish to admit that he made a mistake…..I would have hated him, but I probably would have hated him a lot less if he’d been honest like he should have been to begin with. We paid for that right.
I’m tired of political pundits, media, and our elected leaders misleading and lying to the public. I know for a fact that many people hardly leave the State let alone the city they were born in. Their views and perceptions are myopic in some ways. How would they know what is the what, unless they got to travel, at least some? They would have had a much better grasp if they traveled to other states or have lived in other states. They would have had a much better grasp if they travelled outside of this country even.
I know Bush as well as many of us that feel we have gotten shafted all the way around. The only respect I have remaining is for Laura Bush. Now, she’s a “real” lady. She stepped beside herself so you could run and be a real “Commander in Chief”….What have you done with the opportunity even your own wife gave you?
In my mind, you’ll be the most hated Presdent of the United States of America…for me….forever until you redeem yourself and manage to find a way to come clean.
Find a way to return the largess you and your family garnered from occupying the White House, sinking banks, and having a brother as governor of a Key Presidential election states. I believe you cheated your first term in office. I can’t stand your whole family line and hope they do down in history as the worst “First Family” except Laura Bush….She deserved so much better than you on all levels. For Jenna and Barbara (The twins) maybe you can go back to your partying days and your dad won’t feel shamed to hide your alcoholism problems.
That’s all I got to say about George Bush. I just wish many of us can come with moving boxes to remove the traitor from our White House sooner before January 20th….Jerk!!!!
November 6th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
“Smitty, Bush inherited a trade surplus, and a balanced budget. He got a better than ‘fresh’ start, and screwed the pooch. So let’s be perfectly fair here:”
Posted by Jim from Jersey
When Bush was elected, he came in with a Republican-run Congress that helped Clinton be a “good” President. Now Bush leaves with a Democratic-run Congress. Go figure!
Between the wars going on, expenses from hurricanes, people using squatter’s rights and forcing banks and the government to give them a “ninja” loan, Wall St. greed and corruption and some members of Congress looking the other way, and lest we forget the disruption of our economy from the attack on 9/11, there is enough finger pointing blame to go around.
My question is, what is the solution that we can all live with now and for generations to come? I don’t think one person or party have the answer. It might be that we will not have the answer in this lifetime. However, if and when we each stop and think what part of the problem we ourselves have been then we might have a fighting (good fight, please) chance for change.
I congratulate the first time voters, whether you are 18 or 81, voted Democrat or Republican, or other. Being an informed voter, one become part of the solution.

While you’re at it, submit papers on Clinton for not adequately protecting our young people against the irresponsiblities and consequences of unprotective sex when he lied about his misdeeds while in the highest office. You do remember that, don’t you?
