Will The Real Joe Lieberman Please Stand Up (For Something)
Senator Patrick Leahy says Joe Lieberman should be stripped of his role as chairman of the Homeland Security Committee. But which Joe Lieberman wants to be a Democratic chair? Jed put together this look at his ever-changing positions on the issue of being a Democrat.

Integrety is like humility…..if you talk about how much you have…you don’t have it.
Joe….I’d let you play in the yard because the other kids seem to like having you around….but, behave yourself or you will find yourself down a manhole.

right on, robert.
there’s a country song with the following chorus:
“you’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything. you’ve got to be your own man, not a puppet on a string. never compromise what’s right, and uphold you’re given name. you’ve got to fall for something, or you’ll fall for anything.”
apparently, good ol’ joe has never heard that song.

Joe seriously endorses most of the Democratic party platforms with the exception of those he feels will hurt his beloved Israel. There he sees the neocons as the strongest bulwark against harm to Israel. So he consistently acts on this belief system. He’s not flip flopping is his mind. Agree with his views or not, one has to admit he is willing to forthrightly say his piece even at personal risk of retribution. If the citizens of CT continue to agree, they’ll give him another pass. If not, he’ll go into history.

Dear Alan
I like Libarman. Now he is in “Rock and a hard place.” John McCane was his friend. He supported a friend. We as American shold respect friendship of older people, instade of crusifying them. He showed his honesty for an old friend.

Conneticut Republicans were primarily responsible for him getting elected. The Democrats dumped him in the primary. I don’t see the state of Conneticut turning on him.
