First Came Love, Then Came Marriage, Then Came…
Uh, check that. First came love, next comes baby in a baby carriage. Marriage yet to come. And that’s the way it is with many couples. What’s unusual here is that the couple in question is a congresswoman, Linda Sanchez, who is pregnant with her first child. The father-to-be is boyfriend Jim “Sully” Sullivan, a PR man to whom Sanchez is “unofficially engaged.”
“I don’t know how it’ll be received,” Sanchez told the L.A. Times columnist. “I hope people will recognize that to be able to plan that in your life — I don’t think that marriage and childbirth are black and white. There are certain instances in which you have to do things in reverse order.”
Eight House members have become pregnant while serving (that we know of). Sanchez is the first unmarried member to become pregnant (that we know of).

OMG, a Democratic Congresswoman got knocked up and is going to have her baby instead of the sacrament of abortion. Well good for her! I hope she enjoys this baby very much. Looks to me like maybe her clock has almost ticked out, so it is high time.
So I guess it isn’t just Sarah Palin’s daughter who is pregnant without benefit of marriage. I’m shocked that it also happens to Democrats.

Well, OLDLefty, we’d never even know, would we? They would be taken in the dark of night to the abortion clinic and nobody would ever be the wiser but the girl, her parents and her doctor.
Additionally, you didn’t read my post very carefully. In no way did I cast stones at Sanchez. I wished her well and asked a blessing on she and her child. But leave it to a dedicated liberal to make trash out of that.

If you are concerned about the Iraqi children, show the same concern for the unborn children who are slaughtered in our own country in the name of “choice”.
And just so you know. When a woman chooses to have her baby murdered in the womb and sucked out, or sliced and diced it isn’t just her body that is affected. She is taking the life of another human being.

I’m not fond of abortion, but to use the term ‘murder’ seems a bit stupid to me. Most doctors won’t perform an abortion after there’s a viable heartbeat (save for EXTREME circumstances) so what’s alive, a fetus? A zygote? The Egg? The sperm?
The logic that very early term abortion is equal to murder follows this route. Every time a woman goes a month without being impregnated a living egg leaves her body. She committed murder because that was a LIVING POTENTIAL PERSON. If I have a rather fun dream one night I’M A MASS GENOCIDER. I’ve murdered MILLIONS.
It might be exaggerated, but it’s a logical progression. Wait until living human characteristics appear before you call it murder.
That being said, if you’re a promiscuous person and a pregnancy occurs, man or woman up and accept your responsibility.
Or to use an old axiom: ‘You do the crime, you do the time’
I was 21 when I became a father. Abortion never crossed either of our minds because we don’t think like that, we were responsible and now my 6 year old is reading at a 4th grade level and learning multiplication tables. 1st Grade she’s in. Pride might be one of the 7DS, but oh well, I’m exceedingly proud of her and couldn’t imagine life without her. I suggest anyone reading this blog considering one to think REALLY hard, a child is absolutely a wonderful thing, and all the hard work you can do over 18 years is repaid each time you get a hug, thank you, or macaroni art picture. I no of no feeling better.

Ever notice how many “right to lifers” are in favor of war and the death penalty? They also jumped in on the Terry Shaivo tragedy. They seem to be the first to jump in to have government interject itself in to the private lives of citizens, but then scream if it interjects on the other side of their issues.
