Blago And Wife Good Match

December 10th, 2008, 11:38 PM EST

Patricia Blagojevich is being portrayed as Lady Macbeth, a partner who plotted against her husband’s enemies and apparantly has a mouth as vile as his.

She helped her husband hatch a plan to sell President-elect Barack Obama’s old U.S. Senate seat. She angled to trade her husband’s power for lucrative spots on corporate boards. And she unleashed an obscenity-filled tirade suggesting Tribune Co. ownership should “just fire” Chicago Tribune editorial writers if the company wanted the state to help it unload Wrigley Field to ease its crushing debt.

“Hold up that [expletive] Cubs [expletive],” she is quoted as saying in the background as her husband talked on the phone, authorities alleged. “[Expletive] them.”

Fine people.

  1. My girlfriend and I listen to you and she said you should should talk in a more sensual voice. Spice it up, Alan. Give women what they are looking for -

  2. Gov.Blagojevich + Mr. Smith = Washington

This is a favorite movie of mine . This was made in 1939, corruption in Washington is old news .

” Dad always used to say the only causes worth fighting for were the lost causes.”

  3. Now if only they did a Thelma & Louise

  4. I try not to say mean things about people, but he looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid.

  5. Would it really suprise any of us that if Blago removed that helmet head of hair he has on and was really a space alien?

  6. He came to earth on a ufo. A couple with alot of gall and greed with a high ammount of arrogance.

  7. Oh, you people…

    Who said,
“If You Don’t Have Anything Nice to Say…Come Sit Next to Me”?

  8. Re: Women not calling. I don’t think we are as angry as many of the anti gay anti black and anti Jews that feel it necessary to vent. These men really scare me.
Alan, look into how Rod Blagoyevich rose to “fame”. He had the backing of his father in lay Adlerman Dick Mell. Without him he never would have any power.

  10. They remind me of Jim Baker and Tammy Fay….or is that Egads…is that Sarah? LOL

  11. Summer: “I try not to say mean things about people, but he looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid.”

Wow! For someone who’s out of practice, you’re really good at it, though! That was hilarious!

  12. Was it Mae West? Old lefty I’m not sure but as all of you well know I love a good quote…lol

  13. Alice Roosevelt Longworth

    (yes, I looked it up)

    Sounds like Mae West

Here is a good one from Mae:

“When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I’ve never tried before.”

  14. While looking up quotes… A good one, very apropos of some discussions we have had re: marriage lately..

“Bigamy is having one wife too many. Monogamy is the same.”
    – Oscar Wilde

  15. I LOVE Oscar Wilde! I read THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING ERNEST for the first time about a month ago. I kept putting off the reading bc it was a play.

Btw folks, I think it was Mae West, too.

  16. My favorite quote-artist is Dorothy Parker.

When asked to use the word “horticulture” in a sentence, she came up with, “You can lead a horticulture but you can’t make her think.”

  17. Alice Roosevelt Longworth said “If you haven’t got anything nice to say about anybody, come sit next to me”

  18. Summer- I have to agree with you, he DOES look like a cabbage patch, but not quite as adorable!

  19. Sorry, UM, I didn’t see that you found the quote.

  20. I still think he looks like the kid off the life cereal commercial from the 80’s

  21. Someone said that Rush Limbaugh is saying that the Obama supporters are just smearing Blago.

I googled it, and it’s AMAZING.

    He calls it:

    “Drive-By Defense: Nuts & Sluts:
Blago and wife portrayed as foulmouthed and insane.”

I find it facinating that “nutty and slutty” was the term that the right used to smear Anita Hill, now Rush is claiming it is the smear against Blago.

Just one more example of the ‘whatever you are guilty of just point at your opponent, and say,”he did it!”‘tactic.
    Don’t psychologists call it ‘projection’?

  22. After I made the comment about him looking like a Cabbage Patch Kid, my husband Mike found this…. I guess I’m not the only one that saw the likeness.

  23. Summer- That’s just too weird.

  24. If I heard right Rush Limbaugh called Patricia Blagojevich a slut at 2:15 Thursday 12/11/08. I believe this man should be thrown of the air for such statements.

  25. Check your facts before you suggest ruining someone’s livelihood Daryl. You must be 100 percent sure. Besides I don’t think that is a good enough reason to throw someone off the air. I have heard much worse out of our Congressmens mouths. I have heard worse from liberal talk show hosts also. I have never called for their heads.

Quit being so easily offended and read your first amendment again.
