Starbucks Vs. Dunkin’ Donuts
It’s not just that Starbucks coffee costs an arm and a leg, it’s that their coffee isn’t as good as McDonald’s. I do, however, admire their zen approach to the aggressive McDonald’s campaign in play in Seattle.

But the best coffee is at Dunkin’ Donuts. I’m an iced coffee aficionado, and there is none better, in terms of chain restaurants, than Dunkin’ Donuts.

And if you long for the taste of summertime, have a Coffee Coolata.

The last time I went into a DD I didn’t have the option of self-serving the milk and sugar into my own coffee, which is why I will not return, because no one ever gets it right.

No one on the east coast understands coffee like someone from the Northwest.

Sonic has great iced coffee if you want it quick and cheap.

I think Alan loves Dunkin Donuts coffee more than his wife. I’m so serious. He’s all about some Dunkin Donuts coffee.
That ad by McD’s is HILARIOUS, and oh-so-ACCURATE!

I think we should link the cost of a latte to the cost of a gallon of gasoline.

I rather have dunkin donuts and i don,t care about fancy coffee. I love it strong and black.

DD has good coffee, but I don’t think they can top Starbucks. The notion that McDonald’s coffee is even tolerable (let alone better than Starbucks) is laughable.

Starbucks’ coffee tastes burnt, MacDonald’s tastes like oil and Dunkin Donut’s tastes old.
Go to Trader Joe’s – buy their French Roast and make yer own.

I can’t believe anyway is actually trying to argue with you on this one. Starbucks may have fine wonderul foofafluffacinos, but if you don’t load your coffee with milk and sugar McDonald’s has them beat hands down. I haven’t tried the new “McCafe” coffee drinks, but everyone I know who has loves them. The argument must just be a kneejerk “disagree with the liberal” reaction.

Best coffee I have had was in Bogotá Columbia. The cafe down the street from my apartment in Sao Paulo is a close second.
Enjoy yer McDonalds coffee… suckers! : p

And pretty much everywhere else in the world, that watery crap we drink in the US isn’t even coffee. I can’t drink it anymore, except when my family makes me.
The only reason Starbucks is semi-decent, is because it is strong. But it is indeed way over roasted, as someone else noted…
Espresso is the only way to go, and no freaking whip cream, caramel, or any of that other crud Starbucks puts in their drinks.
I’m heading back to the US for Christmas, I’ll have to give the Mickey Dee espresso a shot.

Dunkin Donuts coffee is ok, but I prefer Gevalia myself.

Why can’t I have a freaking Dunkin Donuts in my town? WHY?!?!?

Alan,
What Mark said.

This is a decent debate. I said i like my coffee black and strong. None of that fancy stuff. Coffee that will peel your eyes back. Sludge that will make a mule kick you.

T. Mason,
do you drink the monkey bean stuff?
Never heard of it, what is it?
December 12th, 2008 at 10:52 am
It is called kopi luwak. There is one coffeehouse near where I live that sells it. I have never tried it but it is supposed to be the bomb.
