If you haven’t already heard Hall and Oates on the daily show they summed up your entire career on Hannity and Colmes and your non existent presence on the show. The same way Bush is taking a revisionist legacy tour, maybe you should consider the total ineffectiveness you’ve had over the years instead of claiming you have done your job well . Another week another batch of insight. In spite of the hate going around: Hall and Oates, the flames at “big” liberal blogs, the emails; is it me or has this blog really become more interesting in recent weeks? It seems there are a lot more fun tidbits and entertaining comments from Alan (and Joel). So my question to everybody is: Is this blog getting better or is it just me?

Though I’ve weaned myself from Fox lately, I miss your relentless cross examinations of the wing nuts. The one thing I wont miss are these over the top hate filled letters.
It bothers me to think I share a country with such people. You’ve never done anything on the show to deserve such childish feedback, and I can’t imagine writing such a latter to your ex-partner, though I loathe him myself. He’s the reason I stopped watching.
I sincerely hope you find a new vehicle for your unique observations, I’ll be there when you do. Meanwhile, I’ll enjoy watching hannity’s ratings drop on his new show.

There is a fine line between hating evil and hating those who harbor evil. Evil is to be hated, as much as Righteousness is to be loved. You enjoy causing anger to erupt and then advertise the eruptions. Not means for a secure career. Better watch your back. There are many who can do your job, but in a way which is intelligent and brings forth reasonable argument. You can only lie for so long before it becomes boring to those who watch or listen. You do well to anger those who have values to the far right of you, but for what purpose do you believe they condemn you? Is it because you are proud of your arrogance and deception? They have the right to hate the evil within you which you wear as a badge of courage and seek to solicit empathy, but son, if you desire love – real Christian love, which you mock, you know where to find it. You’re just too cowardly to approach with your baggage and desire to flaunt sensuality and the tolerance of blatant sin. Continue on, but it will all come to a stop soon and who will you call on then for help? Will it be your liberal friends who write in to support you and condemn your accusers? Will they have any power to help you? You know that they won’t because they live lives of deception as rich / poor as yours. Who will you call?: Better have the number ready. I come… and I will leave you undone and there will just be One Name which you can call and receive help…. but 1st the cleansing. Yes, the dreaded cleansing of a liberal. The dreaded transformation, but afterwards you will disdain the person you were and have no mercy or compassion for others who follow your sordid mark. Yes, you will come alone and we will work on this project together and in the end…. you will know Truth and only speak Truth. Follow up programs will be available at a cost. Pay the Piper now and the rats will no longer follow you, but you will be FREE to be a man filled with God and no longer subject and under the power and influence of the king of deception. In just a moment of time, I can remake you… but you and I both know that it will take much longer than that, for you come unwillingly. And it was said in the land, that he learned obedience by all that he suffered. Alan, too… and then, of course the people will expect a book from you, but that will not come. I enjoyed watching the internet broadcasts of H&C because I could see two rational people having, mostly, rational discussions about their different viewpoints. Our country would be a whole lot better off if more people could emulate your and Sean’s ability to have these debates about ideas without making personal attacks. THAT is what will make this country stronger! :-)

I am a Christian & Conservative. That being said, I obviously do not agree with your position on many issues, such as gay marriage, abortion, and most entitlement programs.
However, I would like to speak out against the e-mails you have posted. No one deserves to be spoken to/e-mailed to like that. I am terribly disappointed in others who call themselves Christians & Conservatives and yet speak to others that way.
Please don’t judge all Christians & Conservatives by that sort of nonsense. I ask others who read this web site and these comments the same thing.

I certainly hope Sean’s show is successful, although it’s very risky going solo. It’s going to change the whole prime-time feel. All solo hosts from 8-11. It’s obviously impossible to recreate or replace Alan, but I think it’d be wiser than solo. Beckel? Henican? Somebody who can put up with Sean without going bonkers and still make good arguments on a nightly basis.
Hannity & Colmes was essentially a faster-paced, improved version of Crossfire, and now what will it become?? A nightly Hannity’s America? Risky. Shark-jumping risky move.

I’ve only recently come to appreciate the hatred from the right wing nutcases. They spew their bigoted remarks on GretaWire. I have some respect for Greta Van Susteren, although not much considering her love for all things Palin and her husband leaving the Hillary campaign in support of McCain. However, why Fox continues to support GretaWire which is nothing more than a forum for racists, homophobes, xenophobes and any/all individuals fearful of well-educated individuals. H & C was a good idea years ago, but no longer viable because your only guests are Karl Rove and Dick Morris. I’m pleased you’ll have your own spot, and hope you’re as successful as Rachel Maddow.

I watched part of your show on Fox last night and was appauled that you are taking the same “Hear, see, speak or smell no evil” attitude with Obama that you did with the Clintons. Thanks to you and the rest of the out of control liberal media, an unconvicted felon was President and another is going to be Secretary of State. I’m not saying that I think Obama is necessarily guilty of anything. However, I am a little concerned that there seems to be an inconsistency in who discussed what with whom. This should not be summarily dismissed. If this country is going to be restored, crime and corruption must be dealt with on a non-partisan basis. I suggest you look in the mirror and ask yourself, if this were a Republican you wouldn’t have a totally different attitude. Nothing is going to be “proven” until an objective and responsible media demands it.

I don’t know Alan Colmes the man, the husband. But Alan Colmes the liberal…I hate him! Maybe a harsh word, but it’s the first that comes to my mind.
You and those like you are the greatest threat to our country. You’re maybe liked by some of the false conservatives that came on the show. But true conservatives make the stand against everything you and your buddies stand for.
