From The Mafia To Breastfeeding, Facebook Causing Controversy
Groups idolizing Cosa Nostra godfathers have thousands of supporters.
Pages on the social-networking site laud mafia players including Salvatore (Toto) Riina (above), jailed in 1993 and currently serving 12 life sentences for murder, and Bernardo Provenzano, his successor, both from Corleone of Godfather fame. They also herald Matteo Messina Denaro, the Mafia boss from Trapani in Sicily who is said to be the current capo dei capi (boss of bosses).
Facebook says it will investigate to see if this is terms of use violation.
Other Facebook controversies have involved taking down pictures of breastfeeding women, which angered some users. In fact that led to a group called, “Hey Facebook, breastfeeding is not obscene!”
My own pathetic fan page doesn’t hold a candle to the Cosa Nostra…or breastfeedng.

Nothing wrong with breastfeeding. Good to hear all these conservatives support a females right to use her breasts in public for feeding her child.
Of course along with that, we must also support her right to use them for, say, the purpose of opening a topless carwash, or being a Las Vegas showgirl.
Here in Halifax, NS there was a test case a few years ago because to women were arrested for wearing only shorts (same as me, a male) at a beach.
The court agreed with the women (and the conservatives on here, in a refreshing show of liberal thinking!), that breasts were not sexual organs (they are not) and now here in Nova Scotia are free to go topless.
Although with our foggy cold summers, few do….

Not that I see how this has anything to do with facebook’s nipple discrimination, but there is no reason why gay parents couldn’t breastfeed. Lesbians have perfectly ordinary breasts and men – be they gay or straight, DO have milkducts and mammory glands too, it just takes a little bit more work to get them working. There have been cases of men nursing children.
I really don’t see what that has to do with anything in this context but I felt it needed to be said.
